Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 63 Why Don’t You Open the Door for Me
Chapter 63 - 63 Why Don't You Open the Door for Me
"I'm taking you to the hospital now."
Henry Thompson scooped up Jenny York, who was crouching on the ground, and strode out of the apartment without even glancing at Lily Turner.
Jenny York leaned on Henry Thompson's shoulder, giving Lily Turner a triumphant smile. She even raised the hand resting on Henry's back to make a provocative gesture.
Lily Turner was so furious she could hardly restrain herself from rushing over to pull Jenny York to the ground and stomp on her. But thinking of the consequences, she forcibly held herself back.
Ding!
At that moment, the elevator arrived at the first floor.
Lily Turner quickly slipped to the side of the elevator door, lowering her head and using her long hair to cover most of her face. Through the gap between her hair, she observed the situation inside the elevator. After everyone inside had walked out, she swiftly entered the elevator.
Sigh!
Once the elevator doors closed, Lily Turner finally breathed a sigh of relief and stepped back a couple of steps, leaning against the smooth inner wall of the elevator. Yet she kept her head down, being cautious because of the surveillance cameras.
"I'm taking you to the hospital now!"
The scene of Henry Thompson carrying away Jenny York kept flashing through Lily Turner's mind. She vigorously shook her head, trying to shake the image away.
But that scene seemed to have rooted itself in her mind, no matter how hard she tried to shake it off.
Annoyed, Lily Turner raised her hand to rub her long hair, cursing herself for being useless: "Lily Turner! You're really useless."
Ding!
The elevator arrived at its destination while Lily Turner was still frustrated, and once the doors opened, she immediately walked out.
Taking a deep breath, she headed towards that door.
Standing at the door for quite a while, she finally raised her hand and pressed the doorbell, but even after a long time, no one opened the door for her.
Thinking the person inside hadn't heard, Lily Turner pressed the doorbell again, this time ringing it several times just to catch the attention of the person inside.
She waited a long time, but the result was the same—there was no movement inside.
With her hands on her hips, Lily Turner glared at the tightly closed door in exasperation. She didn't press the doorbell again; instead, she directly entered the password on the door lock.
"Why didn't you open the door for me?"
As Lily Turner entered, Easton Holmes was sitting on the sofa in the living room watching TV. The TV volume wasn't high, so he could entirely hear the doorbell. She naturally assumed he was deliberately not opening the door for her.
With that thought in mind, her already agitated mood made her tone accusatory when questioning him.
Hearing Lily Turner's accusatory question, Easton Holmes slowly turned his head towards her, staring at her as she walked over. After a while, he lazily spoke up, "But you came in, didn't you."
Her guess was spot on; he deliberately didn't open the door for her. This was the house he gifted her, hoping she would accept it soon.
"Are you saying I should just wait outside and not come in?" Lily Turner knew very well that wasn't what Easton Holmes meant, but in her bad mood, she chose to say it this way, deliberately looking for trouble.
Is this girl mad at him?
Easton Holmes, having no idea what had happened, saw Lily Turner's contentious posture and thought she was blaming him—for having Luke Crowe send her here. "You..."
"Why did you call me here, anyway?"
Just as Easton Holmes managed to say "you," Lily Turner suddenly interrupted.
