Easton Holmes’s exclamation took Callix Linton and Michael Linton by surprise. In their eyes, Easton Holmes was always calm and collected, able to handle any situation with poise.

Callix Linton maintained his intense gaze on Easton, his expression turning exceedingly serious and stern, his eyes hiding an undetectable worry.

When Callix Linton said those things, Easton had already guessed Callix was thinking along those lines, so when Callix spoke his suspicion, Easton didn’t react too strongly.

Seeing his father so worked up, Michael quickly intervened, "Dad! Please don’t get so agitated, alright? Let me handle this, and I assure you, I’ll sort it out."

Worried that his father might fall ill from anger, Michael moved closer and soothingly patted his father’s back, trying to comfort him.

"Grandpa! Please don’t be angry. Tomorrow I’ll have Uncle accompany me to visit Lily’s parents." Easton Holmes understood very well why Callix was so angry and agitated. He was well aware of his grandpa’s worry and urgency.

To put his grandpa’s mind at ease, he decided to formally visit the Turner Family with Uncle Michael tomorrow. His grandpa was too old to be troubled by his affairs any longer.
