Although Lily Turner was whispering to Easton Holmes, Callix Linton and Michael Linton, who were walking ahead, still heard them. Both men reacted, but their responses were quite different.

Knowing he was joking, she joined in on the joke.

While Easton was speaking, he even made a cheering gesture, silently encouraging Lily.

Easton led Lily over and sat down not far from Michael; he had always greatly admired his uncle Michael.

The reason he joined the army when he grew up was entirely due to the influence of his uncle and grandfather, with his uncle having the greatest impact.

After they sat down, Michael couldn’t help but glance again at Lily, but unlike before, he quickly shifted his gaze to Easton after a brief look.
