Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 491: Shh! Sleep
Lily Turner wanted to know exactly what Easton Holmes was trying to figure out, but he was trying to understand more than just that. He could tell from the phone call earlier that Thomas Fisher was particularly anxious about Alice Turner, an unprecedented kind of anxiety.
They hadn’t known each other for long, yet they had already become so familiar with each other that they could even drink together and visit each other’s places.
These thoughts stayed in his mind; he didn’t intend to say them out loud. He didn’t want to make her overthink or worry about anything.
"It’s just a drink, no need for so many questions." Easton Holmes held Lily Turner’s hand in reverse, leaned over, and sat down beside her. He held her with both hands and laid her down. "The only thing you need to do now is rest; don’t worry about other things."
After laying her down, his hands did not release her, preventing her from sitting back up.
"I..."
"Shh! Sleep!"
Lily Turner wanted to say something more, but Easton Holmes made a gesture to silence her, indicating for her not to speak further and to close her eyes and sleep.
"I don’t want to sleep."
With questions in her heart, Lily Turner had no intention of closing her eyes to sleep; she didn’t even have that consciousness.
She wanted to sit up, but before she could move, he laid down beside her. She blurted out in surprise, "What are you doing?"
"We’re sleeping together."
Easton Holmes extended an arm to pull Lily Turner into his embrace, but how could she stay put? She reached out to push him away, yet no matter how many times she pushed, she couldn’t move him.
"Be good and sleep now; you can ask him yourself when he comes tomorrow."
Hearing Easton Holmes say this, Lily Turner stopped pushing and stared at him for a while, as if she figured it out on her own.
Turning her back to him, she lay down facing away and closed her eyes. Perhaps she was truly tired and soon drifted into slumber.
After a while without any movement, Easton Holmes gently sat up to check on the woman lying with her back to him. Only then did he realize she was genuinely asleep.
Earlier, seeing her not move, he thought she was pretending to sleep because she didn’t want to deal with him. Now it seemed he had misjudged.
Easton Holmes gently withdrew his arm, got out of bed, pulled the blanket over Lily Turner, and quietly walked over to the sofa.
He hadn’t slept well the previous night, and he was quite tired now. To avoid disturbing her rest, he had to make do on the sofa like he did last night.
The couple, one on the bed and the other on the sofa, each fell asleep just like that.
Squeak!
At the sound of the door opening, Easton Holmes instantly sat up from the sofa. His first reaction was to look toward the door, where Thomas Fisher, carrying things in both hands, instantly came into view.
"Big..."
As soon as Thomas Fisher uttered the first word, Easton Holmes waved to stop him. Without knowing why, he then saw Easton pointing to Lily Turner on the bed. Following his finger, it suddenly clicked for him.
It turned out his sister-in-law was sleeping. He softened his actions, closed the door, and walked over to Easton Holmes.
Before Thomas Fisher could come over, Easton Holmes had already gotten up to meet him. As they met, Easton reached out and grabbed him, and without giving him a chance to react, dragged him toward the door.
Seeing this, Thomas Fisher quickly raised the items in his hands, implying to Easton Holmes that he came to make amends.
