Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 480 Awkward Encounter 4
"You’re really a good person! Thank you!"
Alice Turner looked down and smiled at Thomas Fisher, who was supporting her. She then withdrew her arm from his support, left her seat, and walked towards one side of the restaurant by feel.
Seeing this, Thomas Fisher instinctively wanted to get up and follow her, but as soon as he lifted off his seat, he sensed something was off and obediently sat back down.
"Third Brother! Third Sister-in-law just drank a lot of alcohol, I think you should go and check on her."
He wasn’t sure if his words were effective, but whether they were or not, he had said them.
Even if his words had no effect, it was still inappropriate for him to follow; his third sister-in-law had gone to the restroom, so it wouldn’t be suitable for him to go after her.
"Maybe I should go and check."
Benjamin Shaw made no move at all. Instead, Sophie Snow, not only answered for him but also rushed to check on Alice Turner, who had gone to the restroom.
Watching the woman walk away, Thomas Fisher turned his gaze to Benjamin Shaw, "Third Brother! Who is that woman? Why have I never seen her before?"
From the first moment he saw the woman, he was troubled by this question, but since both women were present earlier, he didn’t feel it was appropriate to ask.
Now that both women had left, he thought it was the best time and opportunity to inquire.
"Since when did you become so familiar with her? Why didn’t I notice before?" Benjamin Shaw not only didn’t provide answers for Thomas Fisher but also threw the question back at him.
The two seemed familiar enough to drink together, and the excuse for drinking was that she had helped him out.
Not only did he not get the answer he wanted, but he was also counter-questioned, making Thomas Fisher’s mood immediately sour, "Third Brother! I asked you first."
He couldn’t bring the matter up; otherwise, his Third Brother would misunderstand him.
"Why should I tell you?"
Benjamin Shaw anticipated that Thomas Fisher would say this and retorted right back without missing a beat.
Thomas Fisher, however, didn’t expect his Third Brother to respond this way. After a moment of stupefaction, he replied, "Fine, don’t tell me. I’ll find out one day."
As long as that woman was with his Third Brother, he wouldn’t worry about not knowing who she was.
"You haven’t answered my question either. Since when did you become so familiar with her? Familiar enough to drink together?" Benjamin Shaw was still pursuing the matter, refusing to let it drop as he continued to question his good friend sitting opposite him.
Seeing his good friend with his own wife earlier had truly shocked him—not just shocked, but stunned.
Thomas Fisher wanted to retort with, "Why should I tell you?" But he refrained, knowing such words would surely lead Benjamin Shaw to misunderstand that there was something between him and Alice Turner.
The situation was already showing signs of that, and he couldn’t let this misunderstanding develop further.
"Didn’t I just tell you? Third Sister-in-law helped me with something. To thank her, I treated her to a drink." He repeated his previous explanation to his Third Brother. It was indeed the truth without any fabrication.
"Helped you with something?"
Benjamin Shaw remembered what Thomas Fisher had just said, but he was very curious about what exactly the help was with.
Upon hearing this, Thomas Fisher nodded, "Third Sister-in-law helped me seal a business deal."
He didn’t specify what kind of business nor explained how exactly she helped.
The details seemed likely to cause unnecessary misunderstandings, so he decided not to add new troubles to the couple; their relationship wasn’t all that perfect.
