Chapter 439: Chapter 439: Deeper Emotions 3

Alice Turner’s unusual behavior instantly caught Easton Holmes’s attention. If he guessed correctly, there must be paparazzi outside.

"Sis! Why are you locking the door? Are paparazzi chasing you?" At the sound of movement at the door, Lily Turner immediately turned over to look and saw that it was indeed her sister, Alice Turner, who had returned.

But why was her sister so panicked about locking the door? Could it be that the paparazzi discovered something?

Alice glanced at Easton Holmes, then turned her head to Lily, "No, I’m just worried there might be paparazzi."

She wasn’t telling the truth. Earlier, when she had seen Grant Heath out, she noticed two people by the ward acting suspiciously abnormal.

Due to his professional sensitivity, Grant Heath immediately recognized those two people as journalists and quietly warned Alice Turner, who followed him out, that there were reporters behind, advising her to stay away from him.

Upon hearing Grant Heath’s warning, she didn’t follow him further. She glanced at him as he walked towards the elevator, then spun around and entered the emergency exit.

She didn’t return directly to the ward but circled up and down a few times. It was only after confirming she had shaken off the reporters tailing her that she hurried back to the ward to report.

Alice Turner’s explanation seemed like a clumsy denial attempting to cover up the truth to Lily. With Grant Heath’s earlier appearance, she knew there would be paparazzi following, and now seeing her sister’s strange actions, her worries turned into reality.

"If there are, then there are. What’s there to worry about? It’s not like I’ve never been followed by paparazzi." By now, she had come to terms with it. Her marriage and pregnancy were not shameful secrets worth concealing.

As soon as Lily Turner finished speaking, Easton Holmes and Alice Turner immediately showed surprised expressions, as if they suddenly didn’t recognize her and stared at her without blinking.

"Why are you two looking at me like that? Don’t you recognize me? Or is there something weird on my face?" Lily was well aware of why they were looking at her like that, but she still played along with her words and raised her hand to touch her cheek.

Easton Holmes removed her hand from her cheek, holding it together with his large hand, "There’s nothing strange on your face."

The more he worried about something, the more it seemed to happen; however, her performance and condition were far better than he had anticipated.

"Then why are you still looking at me like that?"

It was one hand before, now it’s two; what exactly did this guy intend to do? Was he planning to tie her up?

Lily struggled to pull her hands back, and to her great surprise, she succeeded effortlessly in regaining her hands this time.

Once her hands were free again, she immediately felt much better, and her face naturally broke into a smile.

Seeing this, Easton couldn’t help but tease, "Because watching you makes you happy, doesn’t it?"

After speaking, he immediately stood up, distancing himself from where she sat on the bed.

"Please stay here with her; I have something to attend to outside." Before Lily could respond, Easton Holmes had already turned to look at Alice Turner, standing aside, gave her the message, and without waiting for any response from her, walked briskly toward the door.

Watching the man walk toward the door, Lily Turner couldn’t bother to care about his earlier teasing and called out, "Easton Holmes! Don’t go out."

There must be paparazzi outside, and once he goes out, he will be exposed to the public.

Although he is well-known, no one knows his real appearance, and she figured he must have his reasons for not appearing in public.
