Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 437 Deepening Emotions 1
Being asked to leave repeatedly, Grant Heath was quite angry, especially after hearing what Lily Turner just said; his mood was indescribable.
Even though he was extremely upset, he tried to remain calm on the surface.
"You’ll be discharged in two or three days, right?"
Grant Heath stepped aside, trying to get a better view of Lily Turner sitting on the bed, but it seemed not ideal; no matter how he stood, he couldn’t get the man beside her to move.
Before Lily Turner could speak, Easton Holmes answered for her: "Yes, my wife will be discharged and go home in two or three days."
He kept emphasizing "my wife," especially raising his voice when saying those words, and his tone was deliberately intensified.
He was clearly telling the person who came to visit that she was his wife, warning that person not to waste efforts in pestering.
The Turner sisters, who had just stopped worrying, were anxious again seeing the two men confronting each other.
"Then let’s keep in touch, I’ll leave now."
Grant Heath said this to Lily Turner. After speaking, he turned and walked briskly towards the door, worried he would lose his temper if he stayed.
Seeing this, Alice Turner immediately followed him. As she left, she tossed a line to the couple sitting on the bed: "I’ll see him out." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
On one hand, she was escorting him out; on the other, she wanted to leave space for the couple on the bed, knowing they must have things to discuss. She decided not to be a third wheel.
Grant Heath and Alice Turner left the ward one after another, and as Alice stepped out, she thoughtfully closed the door behind her.
Lily Turner looked away from the direction of the ward door and turned to the man sitting beside her, "Easton Holmes! Can you be more mindful in front of others? This kind of pulling and tugging, I personally think it’s not very appropriate."
She glanced at her hand being held by the man, her face showing disagreement. She originally wanted to say: You can’t be so petty; this isn’t good.
But she was sure that if she said that, he would definitely be unhappy, maybe even angry; and if he was unhappy or angry, she would be the one to suffer.
"You are my wife, what’s wrong with holding your hand? Does that outsider dare to say anything about it?" The words "outsider" sounded especially pleasant to Easton Holmes, making him feel particularly satisfied, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
Upon hearing this, Lily Turner was speechless, deciding not to continue discussing this topic with the man. She pointed towards the direction of the coffee table, "There’s still chicken soup my sister made; quickly drink it while it’s hot."
Her sister would be back shortly after seeing the visitor out, so she decided not to discuss this matter further.
"You’re the one who needs the nutrition now, not me."
Easton Holmes didn’t get up to drink the chicken soup as Lily Turner suggested, remaining seated by her side without moving.
Seeing this, she pouted at him dissatisfiedly, "Drink it if you want, I don’t care about you anymore."
With that, she lay back down on the bed, assuming he would release her hand once she lay down, but he continued to hold her hand tight.
She tried to shake off his hand, but the more she shook, the tighter he grasped, so she simply stopped wasting her effort.
"Why are you holding my hand like this constantly? Afraid I’ll run away with someone else?" She blurted out impulsively, but regretted it as soon as the words left her mouth.
