After a piercing sound, the car pulled to the roadside and came to a sudden stop.
Even though Lily Turner was wearing a seatbelt, she was still jolted from her seat, only to fall heavily back onto it.
"Lily! Your home..."
Alice Turner pulled up the handbrake and turned to tell Lily about Easton Holmes returning home, but when she turned, she saw Lily clutching her stomach, her face contorted in pain.
"What’s wrong with your stomach?"
Not knowing what was happening, Alice became instantly worried seeing Lily in such distress holding her stomach.
"Sis! My stomach hurts, take me to the hospital quickly." Lily struggled to endure the pain in her stomach and urged Alice to take her to the hospital.
"Oh! I’ll take you to the hospital right away."
Seeing Lily in such agony, Alice couldn’t be bothered with anything else. She sat back in her seat, started the car, and drove back onto the road.
"Hang in there, we’ll be at the hospital soon."
Alice drove while comforting Lily, her mind racing to find the nearest hospital.
After about twenty minutes, the car finally stopped at the emergency entrance of a hospital.
"Can you walk?"
After stopping the car, Alice didn’t get out immediately but turned to ask Lily.
"I can!"
Lily replied, opening the door and stepping out.
Seeing this, Alice hurriedly got out and rushed over to Lily. When she got there, Lily was already out of the car, heading towards the emergency room.
Alice quickly followed, supporting Lily with her hands as they walked into the emergency room together.
"Doctor! Doctor!"
As they entered the emergency room, Alice anxiously called for a doctor.
Hearing her cry, a nurse hurried over, "What’s the matter? Where does it hurt?"
"My sister’s stomach hurts, please call a doctor to check her, she’s pregnant."
Alice was a total novice when it came to pregnancy, and with Lily in so much pain, she didn’t know what to do. Seeing the nurse felt like a lifesaver.
The nurse first instructed Alice to help Lily over to the hospital bed, and then rushed off to call the doctor on duty.

The phone only rang twice before Easton picked up.
Alice bit her lip and said, "Lily and I are at the hospital, you..."
"What’s wrong with Lily?"
Before Alice could finish her sentence, Easton interrupted her.
Being suddenly cut off over the phone left Alice momentarily stunned, and it took her a moment to react.
"Lily suddenly had stomach pain, and the doctor is checking her now." She spoke with a guilty conscience, suspecting the abrupt stop might have caused her sister’s pain.
"Which hospital are you at?"
Easton didn’t ask why Lily suddenly had stomach pain, but instead asked which hospital they were at.
This didn’t put Alice at ease; instead, she began to blame herself. But even amid her self-reproach, she didn’t forget to give him the hospital’s address.
