After speaking with Lily Turner on the phone, Amelia Linton returned to her room to wait. Once she approximated the time, she stepped out of her room.
But upon stepping out, not only did she not see Lily Turner, but even Alice Turner, who had been in the living room earlier, was nowhere to be found.
Sophia Wood was full of confusion and asked Aunt Hua, who said she didn’t know.
Alice Turner wouldn’t leave without a word. Even if she were to leave, she would surely inform her. Sophia Wood was quite confident about this, thinking that Alice Turner must be waiting for Lily Turner in the yard.

"Lily! You and Easton should leave now. Mom, I’ll handle it here." Seeing Sophia Wood getting closer, Alice Turner’s heart jumped into her throat, urgently whispering for Lily Turner and Easton Holmes to leave quickly.
Lily Turner came today to resolve matters; she couldn’t possibly flee like a deserter. Refusing to leave herself didn’t mean she wanted Easton Holmes to stay.
"I have some things to talk about with my mom. You head back first. Later, I’ll have my sister take me back." She didn’t know that Easton Holmes was already aware of what happened today, thus starting to send him away.
Since Easton Holmes had rushed over, he wouldn’t leave Lily Turner alone here. What’s more, now that her mom had come over, he was even less likely to leave.
