Chapter 389: Chapter 389 When the Mother-in-law Meets the Mother 1

Amelia Linton didn’t expect that her words would provoke such a strong reaction from Fabian Holmes. She quickly masked her confusion and dissatisfaction with a flattering smile, "Husband! I didn’t mean to blame you; I’m just too anxious. Really, you have to believe me."

As she spoke, she reached out to hold his arm and coquettishly tugged at it, "Can’t you just let it slide? I’m also worried about our son’s matter."

"Aren’t you in a hurry? Hurry and get out of the car."

Fabian Holmes urged Amelia Linton to get out of the car while discreetly withdrawing his arm from her grasp.

"Are you really not going in with me?"

Amelia Linton turned to look at the man in the driver’s seat, her face full of expectation, but what she got was a disappointing response.

Fabian Holmes glanced at the hopeful woman and then shifted his gaze outside the car, "I’ll wait for you in the car."

His gaze remained fixed outside the car window, as if the woman beside him didn’t exist.

"Okay then!"

Amelia Linton’s expression suddenly dimmed, and the expectation on her face vanished instantly. She sighed at the man’s profile before turning to open the car door and stepping out.

After getting out, she looked at the man inside through the closed window; he was still staring in that direction, motionless.

She stared blankly at the man in the car for a moment, then turned and walked toward the Turner Family villa entrance.

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

When she reached the door, she didn’t hesitate at all. She lifted her hand and pressed the doorbell with force, filled with resentment towards Lily Turner, feeling like she was poking Lily’s face instead of pressing the bell.

"Excuse me, you are..."

The door was opened by Aunt Hua, but before she could ask a question, Amelia Linton interrupted her.

"Is this Lily Turner’s home? Are her parents in?"

As Amelia Linton asked, she had already stepped inside, completely treating Aunt Hua as a mere formality, and walked straight into the house.

Seeing the woman appear so confrontational, Aunt Hua immediately sensed trouble and quickly turned to follow, "Ma’am! May I ask who you are?"

She tried to stop the woman walking ahead, but the woman was so aggressive, she couldn’t stop her at all.

"Don’t bother me here; quickly call your master out." Amelia Linton pushed Aunt Hua aside, relying on her intuition to head into the house.

"Aunt Hua! What are you doing? Why is it so noisy?" Sophia Wood had just come out of the room and heard the commotion at the door; she asked loudly, dissatisfied.

Aunt Hua was about to respond, but Amelia Linton, walking in front of her, spoke first, "Sophia Wood!"

Amelia Linton called her by name and then, following the sound of Sophia’s voice, walked quickly toward her. After about a dozen steps, she saw Sophia turning her head, searching for the source of the voice.

Sophia Wood also saw Amelia Linton approaching and frowned more and more as she watched her coming closer.

"Who are you?"

Why does this woman look so familiar? Who is she really?

Sophia Wood scrutinized Amelia Linton as she got closer and closer, finding her familiar, but she couldn’t quite place where she’d seen this woman before. Her confusion deepened.

"I’m Easton Holmes’s mother!"

Amelia Linton wasted no words or actions and directly introduced herself.
