Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 360: Where Did You Get This Information From?
Alice Turner, aside from work, goes to the dojo every day for Taekwondo. In the evening, when she returns home, she either reads or goes online for research. The TV in her house is merely a decoration.
Since she never turns on the TV, she has no idea about the show "Intimate Couples." She hasn’t even heard of it.
However, from the name of the show, she can tell that it must involve intimate interactions between men and women.
Even though the intimate interactions between two people are just for show, she finds it hard to accept.
"It depends on when her foot will heal. This shouldn’t delay the show’s regular broadcast, right?" She thought the show must have a fixed airing time and that such accidents like an actor getting hurt should have been considered by the production team.
"The airing time is fixed, but whether the two of us will continue filming by then depends on how Lily’s foot injury is doing."
This opportunity is rare, but having her film while injured is something he truly doesn’t want.
Grant Heath silently prayed in his heart, hoping Lily Turner’s foot injury isn’t serious and wishing for her speedy recovery.
After disembarking the plane, without a moment’s pause, he took out his phone from his pocket and eagerly dialed Lily Turner’s number.
When Grant Heath’s call came in, Lily Turner was sitting at the dining table confronting Easton Holmes. Having eaten a lot this morning, she wasn’t hungry at all now, but he insisted she eat.
"Can I take this call and then we’ll discuss?"
As they had already debated for a while over whether to eat, she wanted to use the call as an excuse to leave the dining room and thus escape his insistence.
"Take the call first."
"Thanks."
Easton Holmes didn’t stop her. Lily Turner was delighted and stood up with her phone, intending to leave the dining room to take the call. But before she could step away, he pulled her back to her seat.
"Take it here."
Just after Easton Holmes spoke, Lily Turner gave him a sideways glance, but he didn’t get angry. Instead, he pointed at the phone in her hand and kindly reminded her, "If you don’t answer soon, they’ll hang up."
The moment she took out her phone, he had keenly noticed that it displayed Grant Heath’s name.
That man sure doesn’t give up easily; he’s always keeping Lily on his mind.
"No need for your fake concern, I know."
Though Lily Turner spoke defiantly, she stopped bickering with Easton Holmes and quickly answered the call.
"Why did you take so long to answer? Is your foot injury serious? Are you in the hospital? Or at home?" Before Lily Turner could speak, Grant Heath rattled off several questions.
Hearing this, Lily Turner felt utterly baffled, "Grant Heath! What are you talking about? When did I hurt my foot? Where did you get this information?"
Who’s behind this, cursing her out of nowhere? Cursing her to injure her foot — how malicious can one be?
"Helena mentioned it on the phone. Are you saying your foot isn’t injured?" Grant Heath gathered this information from Lily Turner’s words, though he wasn’t sure if it was true. Regardless of its veracity, he realized he was misled.
Helena?!
Lily Turner frowned prettily, surprised and deeply puzzled by this reply. Why would Helena say her foot was injured? And why would she call Grant Heath to say it?
"When did she call you and say that?"
What exactly is going on? She felt utterly confused.
