Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 1027: As You Wish
Thomas Fisher did not respond verbally to Alice Turner’s earlier complaints, he merely turned his head and gave her a meaningful look that made her skin crawl.
"You..."
"Don’t talk now, just sit quietly."
Alice Turner could tell that Thomas Fisher was unhappy with what she had just said. She opened her mouth to explain, but before she could speak, he turned his head to stop her.
The man’s face was sullen, seeming very angry. Alice pouted, ultimately lacking the courage to say anything more, swallowing the words she was about to utter.
Is he really angry? Did he get upset over what she just said? Surely, he wasn’t that petty?
Alice Turner turned sideways, staring at Thomas Fisher without blinking, hoping to glean something from his expression. But after watching for quite a while, she couldn’t figure out whether he was truly angry or just pretending to be.
Thomas Fisher glanced at Alice Turner out of the corner of his eye, seeing her staring at him unblinkingly. He nearly couldn’t hold back and wanted to break the act, but recalling how she had talked about looking at other handsome guys, he steeled himself to endure.
Alice Turner had no idea Thomas Fisher was glancing at her from the corner of his eye, nor did she know he was just pretending to be angry. If she knew, she’d probably slap him.
But that’s just an "if," as she had no awareness of it right now.
She sighed at the man driving and settled back into her seat, falling silent. She began to stare absentmindedly at the flashing night scenery outside the window.
When she wasn’t paying attention, Thomas Fisher tilted his head to give her a quick glance, seeing her staring out of the window, he sighed softly, almost inaudibly.
Withdrawing his gaze from her, he focused on driving, no longer letting her distract him.
The car continued to drive for a while and entered a residential area in a bustling part of town, then slowly stopped in front of a building after entering the area.
"We’re here, get out."
After parking, Thomas Fisher called out for Alice Turner, who was looking around, to get out of the car. Without waiting to see if she heard, he got out first.
Seeing the man already out of the car, Alice Turner dared not linger. She opened the car door and got out. At this moment, Thomas Fisher walked over to her from around the front of the car.
"You go wait at the entrance, I’ll handle the luggage."
He pulled her aside after she got out of the car, then went to the back car door, opened it, and bent down to retrieve the two suitcases from the seat.
Seeing this, Alice Turner immediately walked over, reaching out to grab one of the suitcases. But before her hand even reached it, Thomas Fisher was already dragging both suitcases toward the building.
"Wait for me," Alice called out, immediately chasing after him. When she caught up, she reached for one of the suitcases in Thomas Fisher’s hand. "Let’s carry them together." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
This time, she touched the handle of the suitcase but still did not manage to take it.
"Just walk by yourself, I’ll carry the suitcases," Thomas Fisher said, glancing down at Alice Turner’s hand on one of the suitcases, signaling her to let go. Otherwise, they’d both be stuck here without moving.
Alice Turner looked down at the two suitcases, then up at Thomas Fisher pulling the suitcase. Seeing his firm stance, she didn’t insist further and withdrew her hand. "As you say."
"You should have listened to me earlier."
Thomas Fisher glanced at Alice Turner, then walked into the building with the suitcases.
