Alice Turner wanted to go back early to find Benjamin Shaw, to talk about the divorce, but she couldn’t let Thomas Fisher know about it; if he knew, he’d definitely ask her.

What should she say to him then? Should she tell him that his third brother didn’t agree to the divorce? She needed to go back and continue the talk with his third brother.

It was better for her to handle the divorce herself; she couldn’t let him get involved, as his involvement would complicate things.

"Eat up, I’ll take you back once you’re done." Thomas Fisher felt that Alice Turner wasn’t being honest with him, always sensing that she was hiding something from him. He gazed deeply at her as she lowered her head to eat, but didn’t ask further, and began eating what he held in his hands.

Neither of them said anything more, just eating the food in their bowls silently.

Distracted by troubling thoughts, Alice Turner appeared absent-minded as she ate. Thomas Fisher noticed this from the start and wanted to ask what she was thinking, but he kept his mouth shut in the end.

Seeing her so out of it while eating, his own appetite was dampened.

He watched her for a long while, and she remained just as absent-minded, so he finally couldn’t hold back anymore and tapped her lunchbox with his chopsticks. "Don’t let your mind wander while eating; it really affects your appetite."

Her lunchbox being tapped brought Alice Turner back to reality. Instinctively, she glanced at the man beside her, and though she just looked at him, saying nothing, she silently turned back and continued eating from her lunchbox.

This time, she stopped dwelling on the bothersome matters, focusing instead on eating. She ate with such concentration that her eating speed increased significantly.

Seeing Alice Turner wolfing down her food, Thomas Fisher sighed almost inaudibly, "Slow down, I’m not going to steal the food out of your bowl."

This time, he only verbally reminded her and didn’t use physical gestures.

Alice Turner wanted to laugh at Thomas Fisher’s remark, but in her amusement, she forgot her mouth was still full, causing her to choke and begin coughing.

Seeing her like that, he quickly set down what he was holding, leaned over, and patted her back to help her catch her breath. "I told you not to eat so fast, now you’ve choked."

He assumed she choked because of eating too fast, completely unaware it was his words that had caused it.

"Damn it! I choked because of you. If you hadn’t been rambling, would I have choked?" After catching her breath, Alice Turner immediately turned her head to retort.

Only then did Thomas Fisher realize she had choked because of him, and he hurriedly offered a sheepish grin: "Yes, yes, it’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have been talking when you were eating."

He leaned back and took some tissues from the seat behind him, pulling a few out. Instead of handing them to her, he used the tissue to wipe her mouth directly.

"I can wipe myself."

Alice Turner felt a bit embarrassed, reaching out to take the tissue from Thomas Fisher, but he refused.

"You can’t see what’s where if you do it yourself. I’ll wipe it all at once, saving trouble for both of us." Thomas Fisher explained in detail while wiping, seemingly enjoying the process, his handsome face full of a joyful and satisfied expression.

Alice Turner no longer tried to take the tissues from his hand, turning slightly to let him wipe her mouth. "If you want to wipe, then wipe, saves me the effort," she said.
