Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 1016: Third Brother! I’m Innocent
The one who called Thomas Fisher was Benjamin Shaw. Seeing it was a call from his third brother, his brow furrowed instantly. He stared at the phone for a good while before he finally picked it up, "Third Brother!"
Hearing him call out to his third brother over the phone, Alice Turner realized it was Benjamin Shaw on the line. She shifted her position, sitting facing him and quietly listening to the conversation between the two brothers.
"Are you free now? Come out and have a drink with me." Benjamin Shaw called to invite him for a drink, and there was nothing unusual in his voice or tone.
Thomas Fisher instinctively glanced at Alice Turner beside him and replied, "I’m busy right now. Can we meet tomorrow?"
He wanted to stay with her now and didn’t want to part from her so soon.
"You brat! What could you be busy with so late at night? Are you doing this on purpose? Yesterday you asked me out for a drink, and I didn’t go. Now today, you’re pulling this on me." Benjamin Shaw’s tone had changed significantly from before, and his voice was also much louder.
Thomas Fisher sighed and exclaimed his innocence, "Third Brother! You’re wronging me; I really have something to do now. If I were free, I’d definitely go have a drink with you."
With her by his side now, he didn’t want to go anywhere.
Third Brother! Please forgive me.
He muttered silently in his heart, hoping that his third brother on the other end of the phone wouldn’t keep pestering him to go drinking. He genuinely didn’t want to go now.
"You really are giving no face, okay then, I’ll just drink alone at home." Benjamin Shaw didn’t insist on having Thomas Fisher come out for a drink and decided to drink alone at home. He wasn’t lying to Thomas Fisher; he was indeed at home, in the house prepared for him and Alice Turner when they got married.
Over the phone, Alice Turner heard what Benjamin Shaw said. Hearing that he was home alone, her face immediately turned grim.
What on earth is that guy up to? Why has he been running home so often these past two days? That’s not his usual style.
Since he’s home now, she’ll go back and discuss the divorce with him. If he doesn’t agree, she’ll keep at it until he does.
At that moment, Alice Turner’s phone suddenly rang. Looking at Thomas Fisher, she realized he hadn’t hung up yet, which startled her. She quickly opened the car door and got out.
Once out of the car, she immediately closed the door.
The person on the other end probably isn’t familiar with her ringtone, right? They shouldn’t be. The two of them aren’t even familiar with each other personally, let alone each other’s affairs.
Thinking this, Alice Turner’s heart, which had just been startled, calmed down quickly. She took out the buzzing phone from her pocket,
glanced at it, and saw the saved contact was "Delivery Service." She slid her finger across the screen to answer the call, "Hello! Yes?"
"Hello! Are you Alice Turner?" the person on the other end asked politely.
"I am."
While responding, Alice Turner instinctively looked around, and in a not-so-distant spot, she saw a delivery guy, quickly waving to signal him, "Over here!"
She waved her arms vigorously and shouted loudly at the delivery guy, who was not far away.
When Alice Turner shouted out, she suddenly realized that Thomas Fisher was still in the car talking to Benjamin Shaw. She quickly covered her mouth with her hand and turned to look inside the car, but it was too dark to see anything.
