Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 1013: Third Brother Didn’t Give You Any Trouble Last Night, Did He?
"Let’s go."
Before Thomas Fisher could say anything, Alice Turner was already heading toward the stairs, not caring whether he was following her or if he might be upset. She walked quickly, her pace unconsciously quickening.
Seeing this, Thomas immediately followed and caught up with Alice, who was already heading downstairs. Instinctively, he reached out to grab her hand but lowered his hand the moment he raised it.
They were outside, and he couldn’t act impulsively.
He silently reminded himself to exercise restraint, or else their situation might become awkward, or even worse.
"Why are you walking so fast? I’m not a wolf, I can’t eat you." He tilted his head to look at her. With a shy expression on her face, it was clear she was feeling embarrassed.
"If you were a wolf, I would have already beaten you to death." Alice turned her head and glared at him, then quickened her pace down the stairs.
Thomas immediately caught up and teased her again: "Beat me to death? Would you be willing?"
He increased his speed to walk alongside her down the stairs.
"Why wouldn’t I be willing? If you keep nagging, do you believe I won’t beat you to death right now?" Alice glanced at the man catching up, speaking tough words, but her expression showed no anger. Her lips even curled slightly.
Thomas grinned and said, "I don’t believe it, because you wouldn’t really hit me."
As he spoke, the smile on his face grew wider.
The two of them continued their playful banter as they walked downstairs.
"Aren’t you hungry if you don’t eat?"
After getting in the car, Thomas didn’t drive off immediately. Instead, he sat in the driver’s seat, looking at Alice next to him. He still hoped to have dinner with her, but he couldn’t force her if she didn’t agree.
Alice glanced at the man who hadn’t started the car yet and said, "I’ll order takeout when I get back."
She wasn’t very hungry right now, and even instant noodles could satisfy her.
"Let’s have takeout together."
"No way!"
Thomas wanted to have takeout with her, but she immediately refused, firmly and resolutely, without a moment’s hesitation.
Feeling a bit frustrated at being rejected by a woman, he asked, "Why not? It’s just takeout. You can’t be that stingy, can you?"
They had planned to have dinner and watch a movie together, but not only had they not eaten, it seemed their plan to watch the movie was also going to fall apart.
He wasn’t happy with this outcome. He had been waiting for her and thinking about her all day.
"Your third brother has been acting weird these past few days. I’m worried he might suddenly show up at home." Alice attributed Benjamin Shaw’s recent behavior to acting strange. Not only had he invited her home for dinner yesterday, but also suddenly showed up at her house causing trouble. Today, he’d even gone to her parents’ house.
What on earth is that man up to?
He had clearly said he would be busy all day, yet at noon, he showed up at her parents’ house. Wasn’t he supposed to be on a date with that woman? But his dad said he was at the company working.
Which one of them was telling the truth?
Regardless of which one was honest, something was off, and she had to be cautious in dealing with him. Successfully getting divorced now was the key.
Upon hearing Alice mention Benjamin Shaw, Thomas suddenly fell silent. After a moment, he spoke in a deep voice, "Did my third brother give you any trouble last night?"
