Chapter 127: Simp of the Century

The process of drawing the tattoo began immediately, and it didn’t take long to draw a permanent tattoo on his face.

He did groan a few times in slight pain, but he acted as if he felt nothing—acting tough in front of Fiona.

When it was finished, Max opened his eyes and stood up. But wherever he looked, he heard gasps from his classmates and guards. He glanced at Fiona, who stared at his face with wide eyes before turning her gaze away, feeling second-hand embarrassment.

She even wanted to act as if the two didn’t know each other.

Max had a sinking feeling in his heart. He wondered what kind of tattoo he had gotten on his face; now he regretted making that bet with Vritra.

"Here you go. But don’t hate me too much, boy, I was just doing my job." The old man passed a mirror to Max and shook his head with a loud sigh.

Max took the mirror and was first surprised by all the writing on his face. At first, he struggled to read the letters since they appeared inverted, but then his face darkened.

On his forehead was:

-FREE SLAPS ANYWHERE!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!-

On his right cheek was:

-1 SILVER, ONE ROUND, NO DISCOUNT, NO REFUND!!-

Along with this line, a shaky arrow pointed towards his mouth.

Then his left cheek:

-PROFESSIONAL, IN BUSINESS EVEN BEFORE BIRTH!!-

"..."

Everyone read those lines and felt a bit bad for Max, but many felt satisfied since he used to bully them all back on Earth. But even his haters pitied him. How could he walk around with a face like that? They glanced at Fiona and pitied her even more; questioning in their minds: You like this guy? Seriously?!!

"Wait, but what does that mean? In business even before birth? In his mother’s wom—oh wait!! Shit." A boy spoke out loud and then understood, feeling even more disgusted.

They all looked at Vritra, who had a faint smile on his face, and all of them felt that he was a devil. How could someone think of something so evil? He called his mother a slut through that one line.

{Sin Point Gained: Enraged +1}

"Y-You asshole, what have you done?" Max shouted as he smashed the mirror to the ground in complete madness. He might not be the most handsome, but he was still proud of his face.

Now it was completely ruined. How could he ever face Fiona with such tattoos?

"Hey, don’t worry, I’m not as heartless as you might think. This tattoo isn’t exactly permanent, and it will disappear on its own after some time," Vritra said in a comforting tone.

"..." Max felt a bit relieved hearing that. If it was just for a short time, then he could just cover it with a mask. After a moment, he asked, "How long exactly before it disappears?"

’Hmmm... Should be around five—no, six years. Yes, only that long. Then you would be a free man.’ Vritra said with a kind, friendly smile.

"You fucking bastard! You are messing with me, aren’t you? Do you want to die that badly?" Max screamed. His eyes had turned bloodshot, but he didn’t know that it was just the beginning.

Just as the conflict was about to escalate, one of the teenagers who had not arrived for practice yet came running toward them. His face had an impatient expression, as if he was unable to digest some great news.

It was Lero, the chatterbox of their class and also the one who keeps tabs on everything—the news delivery guy.

"Hey everyone, I just heard something big. Listen to me, today—" but after arriving in the training area, he paused as his gaze landed on Max, and Lero’s eyes widened in surprise.

"Hey there, Max. Those tattoos, uhm... they look sick on you." Lero said, but seeing everyone’s reaction he asked, "Did I miss something? Well, whatever, I brought a few big news items and they are all hundred percent true."

"Sigh... What is it?" another classmate asked, knowing Lero wouldn’t stop until they had heard him.

"So, so, I heard one of the commanders—the one who led the fourth team into the labyrinth—committed suicide after seeing his house getting destroyed. Strangely, his family and servants were perfectly fine." He finished without pausing, then continued:

"I heard an assassin organization—what was its name again, whatever... All the members of it were found dead today, over a thousand members!!" he continued.

"There are even rumors of a very dangerous creature being seen in the kingdom. Oh right, I almost forgot to mention, the team of four from our class that had gone out for some special experience had finally returned, though I heard Risah died because of an accident."

Everyone was shocked upon hearing this news. They wondered if they were truly safe in this place.

Vritra already knew about the first two parts; only the last one was new for him. Along with Risah and Jack, two more people had gone out for this... special tour.

These two people were from Max’s group.

"Fiona!!" Just then, another loud and familiar voice sounded from the distance, and everyone turned to look.

And it was none other than the greatest simp—Jack, with supposedly the best ability among them.

Fiona was already in a bad mood. She glanced at the overly enthusiastic boy and frowned. She had already made it clear that she had no interest in Jack, but the persistent simp just wouldn’t give up.

Max would have beaten Jack up too if his father wasn’t so rich and Max’s own father wasn’t working in their company. So he allowed Jack to act like that. Max was confident—Fiona would never choose him.

"Did you miss me? I thought of you for each and every single day. But now that I am back, can we spend some time together?" Jack said. He did look handsome, but the way he was acting made him look like a pathetic simp.

"Hmm... another clown joined," Vritra mumbled in a not-so-low voice, so Jack heard it too.

"And who the hell are you?" Jack frowned as he saw Vritra, who looked much more handsome than himself. He already started hating him.

After staring for a few seconds, he asked, "Is that Janit—cough, Vritra? Whoa, you look like that?"

Jack exclaimed, then looked at others and soon his gaze landed on Max. After reading those lines, first he burst out laughing, then he walked forward and gave a hard slap to Max’s face—

Before walking back casually, stunning everyone present there.

"What the fuck do you think you are doing?! How dare you!!" Max felt so angry, but even at this place Jack’s status was above his own.

"Huh? It says on your forehead: free slaps, no questions asked. Why did you even get it if it has no meaning?" Jack asked, still laughing at all that writing.

"..." Max gritted his teeth, feeling humiliated in front of all his classmates—especially Fiona.

But then an evil grin appeared on his face.

Why should he be the only one to suffer this? Isn’t it better to share your pain with others?

"Jack, do you like Fiona?" Max asked as his grin widened.
