Raising Ducks for Daily Rewards-Chapter 61: Escaping
The earth trembled, a huge shockwave spreading from the earth boar.
His hooves suddenly gathered the earth from the ground, forming a rock shell.
But he didn’t stop, his legs stomping heavily on the ground.

The shockwaves spread even further, causing the earth to crack and the trees to shake.
Fengyu and the others found it difficult to balance on the ground, only Wind Claw moving easily.
"Quack! Run away! Run away now!"
Just as they were contemplating whether to follow the plan or keep attacking, they suddenly heard the quacks of Zimu.
Fengyu looked over, hearing this, he instantly started casting a spell, barely uttering under his breath, "Use your escape spells, leave now! Go back to the village!"
The twins were shocked at the sudden turn but rapidly used their spells.
"Wind Step Spell, Run!" Fengyu completed the spell extremely fast, directly running to Zimu, scooping it into his arms before quickly running away, ignoring the boar behind him.
Wind gathered around him and formed a thin veil around his soles, allowing every one of his steps to rapidly push him several steps forward. In just a moment, he had already left over ten steps, and in a minute, he ran several hundred!
The twins trusted him, so their spells were only a short moment slower –
"Earth Guided Running Technique, Run!" Ming cast and quickly left in another direction, his steps not hesitating. When he took a single step, it was as if the earth shifted just to allow him to move faster.
His steps were smooth and fast, slower than Fengyu yet faster than the common wind escape technique!
Ling, the last one left, also cast her spell – "Wind Escape Technique, Escape!"
Among the five elements escape techniques, the wind technique was the easiest to learn, but also the most basic in its early stages.
Ling quickly ran away, and while running, she guided her spiritual power into the shoes on her feet!
Instantly, her steps became faster, faster than Ming but still slightly slower than Fengyu, who was already quite a distance away.
The three disengaged from the battle rapidly, and Wind Claw, who understood Zimu and had the Innate Claw Power, which transformed his feet into rapidly moving and razor-sharp weapons!

"GRUUUGHH!!!!"
The mad boar grunted in anger, too slow to realise that the enemy had left.
But only a moment later, from afar, a sudden roar arrived, "ROAAAAAR!"
Confused, the boar stopped and listened to the following roars.
Only then did it realise that it had been tricked!
Looking around, its small eyes had difficulty seeing anything.
It stomped on the ground again and felt the vibrations –
Shocked, it realised that after it stopped shattering the earth, it now didn’t feel the presence of the humans anymore!
"GRUUGGHHHHH!!" it grunted angrily again, only for a roar to sound behind it, telling it to pursue the enemies.
...
Minutes and hours passed until Fengyu and the twins arrived at their field’s formation, right at the intersection.
Wind Claw had returned to Fengyu’s side at one point, quacking with Zimu to understand what had happened.
When they had left, even in the distance, they heard loud beast voices, yet it was difficult to distinguish them because of the boar’s grunting and stomping.
Seeing the twins safe, Fengyu breathed a sigh of relief.
But when he looked back, he knew this wasn’t the end of it!
"Senior brother, what happened? Why did we leave so suddenly?" Ming asked, looking into the forest with some apprehension.
"Another beast, with a much higher danger, approached our battle!
If we stayed any longer and got entangled with the earth boar, then we would have had to fight it!
Based on Zimu’s feeling, it’s likely in the late stage of the first stage, way too strong for us to handle.
And now..."
Fengyu looked back, a feeling of worry rising.
Ming looked confused and turned to Ling, hoping she had an answer.
"Boars are vengeful beasts that will hunt you down after losing a member! They’re slow and might not think of us being here usually... but the faint voices in the distance were likely other beasts."
"That’s right... and that beast should be the strongest in the local area, likely knowing our position very well.
This boar might be led by it to charge into our village head-on and attack our fields.
It likely won’t be alone, followed by at least a few weaker beasts, or possibly by one of the other two groups at the mid stage.
By then... it’ll be a Beast Attack, a smaller and weaker version of a Beast Tide..."
A beast tide can only be called so if there’s at least a large group of beasts led by a beast a major stage higher.
That is to say, a group of first-stage beasts led by a second-stage beast to attack would be a small beast tide.
"A Beast Attack? This... our village, can it protect itself against such an attack?" Ming asked in shock.
"The village? Naturally it can even protect against a beast tide. Even if this attack will be sudden, it won’t be tragic.
The issue isn’t that the village won’t react, but rather that we, the fields standing to the outside, will be the first to suffer the attack!" Fengyu looked back, annoyed.
"Senior brother, won’t we tell the village hall about this?"
"No, that’s not possible. The city has a law regarding Beast Attacks and Tides – those that intentionally cause them will be punished. The minimum is to compensate for the damages, while the highest would be to directly kill you.
Even if anyone does such a thing, no one will admit to it!
You two and I are the only ones that know this happened, so as long as we don’t mention it, the city will only think this is the first Beast Attack.
Anyways, it’s common for a few Beast Attacks to happen in the second decade, the peaks further away have already experienced it."
Fengyu made a decision for the group, knowing that ’compensation for damages’ was too broad.
What would the damages be? How would it be calculated? What counts as damage? What about other costs, such as the cost to hire a higher cultivator, the cost to use a weapon, the cost when a formation is attacked?
Being a modern man, he knew various outrageous charges that made little sense and only acted as an excuse to exploit money!
