Raising A Few Wives in a Beast Apocalypse-Chapter 501: Settling in

Around an hour later...

Sarah was nervously making her way towards the mansion.

They had finished work much earlier than expected, which was understandable considering that Lisa's group were now experts in the building department.

Anyway, she wanted to stay away for longer to avoid the awkwardness of being surrounded by such great people as long as she could. Unfortunately, that was out of the question for a mother who couldn't stay away from her child for too long.

So she bit the bullet and went.

Honestly, she was kinda regretting agreeing to Audrey's proposal. After all, whether it be the mansion or the new settlement they just built, her baby should be equally safe. Maybe she won't be able to give him the highest level of living but it would be easier on her heart.

With that thought in mind, she made her way through the magnificent-looking gates. She wondered how this place looked so great even after so long. And was it even the same structure? This didn't look like a mansion at all.

Well, whatever, it was none of her business.

Soon she walked into the castle which had the huge doors wide open since there was no need to keep them open during the day. No wind would get in and it was surrounded by walls, so no one would be able to peel inside... Not like anyone would dare try anyway.

And the main reason was Jade who kept kicking it open every time she found it closed.

She held her strength but it was still damaged to the point of needing Freya's mana to fix it. So for the poor girl's sanity, everyone chose to keep it open. Muku tried telling Jade to stop but of course, she didn't listen.

Anyway, currently only Audrey was sitting in the lounge with the baby in her arms. Everyone else had gone back to training with their clones. Which had become their favourite thing to do in recent history.

They figured they might as well put in a little more training before they set off on the next day. Now that Jack's matter was done, albeit not in the way they expected, they could move on to the next matter on the agenda.

The ocean was waiting for them.

Honestly, they were all a bit excited about it. They had never done water Batles before.

They had fought with water users and been hit with storms and waves, but the battlefield had never been water.

Of course, Elsa was the most excited one of all. Being a water elementalist, she will definitely be able to display a lot more power than usual...

"Who's a cute boy. You're a cute boy! You're Auntie Audrey's cute boy!" Audrey teased the laughing baby in her baby voice.

Seeing this warmed Sarah's heart. What mother wouldn't be pleased by seeing their child being loved by others? Especially people they viewed very highly

In fact, she became so emotional that she cancelled her initial plan to leave the castle. After all, her son was clearly a lot happier here.

In their group, due to the gloomy air, he's always crying. So this much lighter air must be doing wonders for him.

"Oh, you're here. Did everything go well?" Audrey asked without turning around.

In fact, she has been overseeing everything from the start. Everything Sarah and the others did was seen with her mana sense.

She wasn't spying, just curious...

"Ah, yes. It all went well. Ms Lisa is really good at what she does..." Sarah replied in a slightly nervous tone. Still not used to Audrey yet.

"Oh, okay. That's great. Now let's go choose you a room. Do you want the first floor, second or third? We're all on the second floor by the way" Audrey said.

"I'll take one on the first floor if you don't mind" Sarah answered.

"Of course I don't, why would I mind? Well, whatever. First floor it is. Though I would have chosen the second floor since everyone else is there..." Audrey replied.

"No, the first floor is fine. I would feel too suffocated being too close to you all... Respectfully of course" Sarah spoke candidly.

"Fufu. I never knew people could be respectfully suffocated. But I get what you mean. We aren't too familiar with each other yet, so of course you wouldn't want to be too close to us. Honestly, I'm surprised but glad that you accepted my offer. I was expecting a rejection..." Audrey spoke in a jolly voice while still playing with the child.

At that point, she had gotten up and come to Sarah who was holding her items which were likely all her luggage and stuff that reminded her of Jack.

After that, the two ladies and a baby went to look through the residential rooms on the first floor before Sarah chose one.

Honestly, the rooms on the first floor were far worse than the ones on the higher floors. They were meant for workers and such after all.

Muku and the others weren't planning on having workers but they kept the rooms because removing them was unnecessary work.

But while they were smaller and not as good as the higher floor rooms, they looked more luxurious than five-star hotel rooms. So Sarah was more than happy with her room after choosing it.

After all, it was around three times the size of her old room before the apocalypse.

Anyway, after that, she settled in and chatted with Audrey for a while about general stuff just to know each other a bit more.

Funnily enough, Sarah and her baby would get dazed every time Audrey giggled. She was just that beautiful after all. So beautiful she affected babies and ladies as well as men.

Anyway, Audrey who didn't want to intrude too much left after a while.

But not before agreeing to organise a meetup between Sarah and Muku.

She wanted to thank him in person officially. She knew that he was doing it because of his old friendship with Jack, but that didn't mean that she could take everything in stride. He was helping them and she had to show gratitude.

Audrey told her that it wasn't necessary, but she refused to back down from it. She had to say it or she wouldn't feel at ease.

It was only then that Audrey agreed. Honestly, it also improved Sarah's image in Audrey's mind. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. If it wasn't for the baby, the two of them might not have spoken at all.

But now, because Sarah showed that she knew how to be grateful, Audrey finally started seeing her before her child.

Even her smile became more real. Something that was noticed by Sarah. And again she was dazed.

She wondered how a human woman could be so beautiful... Unbeknownst to her, Audrey was technically a vampire now, a version that basically had all the benefits and none of the weaknesses, so maybe a human really couldn't be that beautiful.

After all, in the group, only Raya will compete with her when she becomes more mature.

While the other girls were also heavenly beauties, they were slightly lower than Audrey and Raya.

....

A few hours later...

The time was around 7pm. Audrey, Sarah and the child had already had dinner. Of course, Audrey didn't need it, but she didn't want Sarah to feel lonely.

So she joined her for what was by far the best meal Sarah had ever had... And it would have been even better had she been able to eat more than one bite before feeling full.

But it was understandable that she couldn't. After all, it was R5 beast meat. And up to that point, she had only seen one R5. Which was that worm that took away almost everything she had?

Now she was eating another one. It made her tear up a little bit like she was having a little revenge even if it wasn't the meat of the beast that took our Jack.

As for everyone else. Time wasn't a concept to them. They could see as well as they could during the day, even at night. So they didn't stop training.

But of course, because of the meeting, Audrey called Muku over.

After that, she took the sleeping child to bed while Sarah spoke with Muku.

"So, I heard you wanted to speak to me about something..." Muku spoke first.

"Yeah... Can we speak in a private place please? I don't know if I can say it here..." Sarah spoke while fidgeting a bit.

"Umm. Sure. Let's go to my office. This also gives me a chance to use it for the first time" Muku raised his eyebrows a bit before replying then directed her to his home office.

He felt like he knew where it was going. But he didn't want to assume wrongly, so he didn't voice his suspicions....

The two soon found themselves sitting across from each other with a table in between them.

"I don't know how to say this but... You've done so much for my people and me. So much so I don't know how to repay you, or if I can" Sarah spoke then paused as if thinking of what to say next. There was a conflicted look in her eyes too.

"No need, I'm doing this because of my friendship with J..." Muku wanted to wave her off but before he could finish she interrupted him.

"Please use my body as you please. It's not much but it's all I have. This was I can thank you a little bit at least" Sarah suddenly spoke while getting up off her seat and stripping without a warning...

Muku froze...
