Raised From The Wild-Chapter 293: She Is Shameless
Julienne was fast but Amaya was faster. In the end, both of them held Fiona. Julienne was holding her in the right arm while Amaya was on the left. ๐ฏ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ก.๐๐๐ถ
Marx was standing in front of the three women looking indifferent.
"Are you alright, Miss Chase?" Julienne asked while still holding onto Fionaโs arm.
"Let go!" Fiona said while gritting her teeth. She did not expect the two women to move fast and broke her fall and foiled her plan.
Amaya and Julienne released their hold on Fiona. The young artist dusted the places where she was held as if brushing off something dirty.
Princess Amaya frowned but did not say anything.
Fiona glanced at Marx. Judging by his expression, he did intend to take her to dinner. She changed her tactic and targeted the princess.
"Princess, wouldnโt you invite me and let me taste your Lireyan hospitality?"
โShameless!โ Julienne thought to herself.
Stephane, Nathalie, and Student Council President who were talking to Dave at the side were embarrassed. They were the main players in organizing the concert.
Stephane cleared his throat.
"Miss Miley, we have arranged a late dinner for all the concert participants at the Golden Pavillion," Stephane said politely.
"But I want a private dinner with the Princess of Lireya."
Stephane was speechless.
The Student Council President looked awkwardly at the princess.
"Sure, we can bring you to a famous Lireyan restaurant. Letโs go." Amaya said without hesitating.
Marx wanted to say something but Amaya beckoned to the guard who was standing at the side and instructed him to have someone book at Pearl Of The Orient restaurant.
"Letโs go."
The group of six people left the auditorium together.
"Can I share the ride with you Princess?" Fiona asked in a sweet voice.
Amaya could not refuse. She and Fiona sat in the back seat while Marx took the passengerโs seat.
Fionaโs manager and her assistant were in the same car as Dave and Julienne.
"Tell me, Princess. Where can I shop for traditional Lireyan outfits?" Fiona started talking. It looked like Princess Amaya would rather be a mute if she did not initiate to conversation.
Marx was also contented looking at the scenery outside.
"The Luxxe Mall near the Lireyan Alpha University has lots of boutiques that specialize in selling Lireyan native products," Amaya replied while briefly glancing at Fiona.
"Can you accompany me with shopping?" Fiona asked expectantly. She stole a glance at Marx. She did not dare ask him directly. She knew that he would reject her.
"I am sorry Miss Chase but I am busy." Princess Amaya rejected her as politely as she could.
"Aww. Thatโs a pity. I thought I could spend some time with the famous First Princess of Lireya. I forgot that you are very busy and I should have booked a schedule in advance." Fionaโs voice carried a hint of disappointment but Amaya also sensed a hint of sarcasm in it.
"I can arrange for someone to accompany you." Princess Amaya said curtly. She thought of Julienne.
"Marx, can you accompany me instead? I have some free time tomorrow. Besides, Uncle Frederick asked me to bring some stuff back to Usturia." Fiona asked in an overly sweet voice.
Marx pursed his lips. Of course, he knew that these were all Fionaโs schemes. He wanted to reject but he remembered his fatherโs request to him.
"Okay. I can accompany you for at most one hour."
Fiona gritted her teeth. Marx sounded so cold and distant. But she felt relieved because she could spend time with him even if it was just one hour.
When they arrived at the restaurant, a tall and pretty waitress wearing a traditional Lireyan costume escorted them to the private room.
Marx pulled a chair for Amaya but before Amaya could sit down, Fiona beat her into it.
"Thank you, Marx," Fiona said shamelessly while smiling at Marx.
Marx was dumbfounded but because Fiona had already sat down, she pulled another chair beside Fiona and gestured for the Princess to sit down.
Amaya sat down gracefully. Marx sat beside her. Fiona Chase was disappointed. She did not expect Marx to choose that seat. Was he intentionally avoiding getting close to her?
When Fiona thought that Marx intentionally avoided her, she was fuming.
โNo! I cannot give up just like that. I am the beloved daughter of Governor Chase. Whatever I want, I get it." Fiona uttered the words like a mantra.
She twisted her body and looked at Princess Amaya who was fiddling with her phone.
"Princess, can you move over there?" She pouted and pointed to the seat beside Marx.
Princess Amaya was speechless. In her few months at Lireya, she encountered different types of people. But she had never encountered someone who was as thick-skinned as Fiona Chase.
The Princess pursed her lips but in the end, she stood up. The young woman beside her was after all a guest of their university and she did not want to ruin her schoolโs reputation.
Marx was displeased. He did not know why Amaya left her seat. Was she going to give up her seat for Fiona?
"Why did you ask her to leave her seat." Marxโs asked in a cold voice.
"Oh, that? Well, I have something to tell you. It would be inconvenient if there is someone between us right?" Fiona Chase spoke in an intimate matter.
"If it is about personal matters, then, there is nothing we can discuss." Marx maintained his aloofness.
Fiona felt wronged. She pondered for a moment before she stared at Marx with misty eyes. "Canโt we even be friends? I will be your sister-in-law in the future."
Marx turned to his left and regarded Fiona with interest. How come he did not notice previously that Fiona was so cunning?
The restaurant has excellent service. The moment, they were settled, a few waiters came in and started serving the dishes.
"I hope you donโt mind. I had someone place the orders in advance as it is already getting late." Amaya announced to everyone.
She looked at Fiona Chase and added, "These are Lireyaโs famous cuisine and delicacies. I hope that Miss Riyanah Miley will find the taste appetizing."
Fiona ignored Amaya. She gazed at the platter of seafood longingly.
Marx took out a shrimp and expertly peeled it.
Fiona was ecstatic. She remembered that when they were small, Uncle Frederick would command Marx to peel a few shrimps for her. But now Marx took the initiative to peel the shrimp from her.
