Raised From The Wild-Chapter 241: Strange Encounter
"What? She entered Mount Paraiso. Is she courting death?" Prince Sapiro’s concern for Amaya was real. He really could not answer to his father if something happened to the First Princess.
"Excuse me, Father-in-law. Something urgent came up and I have to go back to the palace but I will be back during lunch." King Ralden left with some of his trusted guards.
At Mount Paraiso, Marx, Amaya, and Vasquez were traveling for an hour when Amaya requested a short break.
"Sorry, but I need to relieve myself," Amaya said shyly.
There was nothing that Marx and Vasquez could do but find a place that they deemed the safest.
Amaya found a big tree. Behind her was a rocky steep slope of the mountain and at one side was a big boulder around three meters high. She dug a shallow hole in the soil. She wrapped a black cloth around her waist and pulled down her undergarments.
She heard rustles behind the tree.
"Who is there?" Amaya was in the middle of relieving herself. She could not pull up her undergarments.
"It is me. Just don’t mind me." Marx replied shyly. He wanted to be close to Amaya. He did not want a repeat of what happened the other day.
"Go away, Marx. Give me some dignity." Amaya shouted anxiously. She did not want Marx to smell her poop.
"Okay, okay," Marx said and he moved a few meters away from her.
When Amaya heard him leave, she continued releasing her burden. She took a wet tissue from her pocket and wiped herself clean. She threw the used wet tissue into the hole and covered it with soil. She took another tissue and wiped her hand.
She heard a rustle from behind the tree. She thought that it was Marx.
"I am done ..." Amaya froze.
In front of her was a big tiger growling at her. Its tongue was sticking out of its mouth with saliva dripping. Its amber eyes were fierce and looking at Amaya like she was dead meat.
Amaya backed away. She slid her hand under her skirt to unsheath her hidden dagger. The tiger was very near. Her bow and arrows would be useless for melee combat. She regretted returning the gun to Marx.
Amaya stepped sideward to the tree. She can use the tree as leverage to climb the boulder. The tiger should not be able to climb it right?
The princess eyed the tiger warily. It was bigger than any tiger she had seen. It looked ferocious and its limbs were strong. Its claws were visible and unusually long, like the claws of an eagle. Its fur looked golden in the morning ray that seeped on a few gaps in the canopy above. Like Khalil, it has black stripes that wrap around its body.
The tiger pounced at Amaya. Amaya was very fast. She jumped and held a branch then propelled herself and landed above the boulder.
The tiger saw that it had missed its target. It was so angry that it roared so loud that nearby birds flapped their wings and flew in different directions.
The tiger looked at Amaya with round eyes flashing with a fierce light. Its two front paws dug into the ground and it let out another angry roar!
"Wait! I don’t want to hurt you. I have a friend who is like you." Amaya roared.
The tiger was dumbfounded. It looked at Amaya from head to toe. It was confused.
Tiger: "Did you just talk to me? How come I understood you."
Amaya: "I told you, my friend is like you so I know how to talk to you."
The tiger paused and thought to himself. ’I must really be hungry. I was hallucinating I thought that my food is talking to me. It was that stupid human’s fault. He must have done something to my mind.’
Tiger: "Don’t think that you can fool me. I am the wisest among my family."
The tiger roared threateningly at Amaya and began to attack. It could not jump over the three-meter-high boulder so it ran to a rock beside it that was about a meter high and went to attack Amaya on the boulder.
Amaya dodged and jumped from the boulder and landed on the branch of the nearby tree. However, the branch that she landed on had a tear on it and with her added weight the branch broke and Amaya fell down. She somersaulted and landed steadily on her feet. The tiger on the boulder was fast. It jumped in the air and targeted Amaya. The claws on its front paws elongated and ready to split its’ prey’s chest. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
To escape, Amaya could only lie down on her back and roll to the side. The tiger missed again and was really angry. Before Amaya could get up, it caged her with its four strong limbs. It will use its fangs to kill the prey.
The tiger opened its mouth and wanted to sink its fangs on the human’s neck. A dagger was placed between its mouth. When it closed its jaw, it felt a tremendous pain from the roof of its mouth and blood seeped from its corners.
"I told you I don’t want to hurt you but you left me with no choice." Amaya roared.
The tiger did not dare close its mouth anymore. Amaya swiftly rolled away from under the tiger’s body before it fell on the ground whimpering. It looked at Amaya with its pitiful eyes. Amaya was in a daze. She saw the tiger transformed into Khalil and Khlil was in so much pain because the dagger was still stuck in his mouth.
"It hurts so much. Please take it away." The tiger whimpered.
Amaya’s heart melted. She did not know what happened to her. She seemed muddleheaded as she stared into Khalil’s eyes that was like her own. She knew that in the morning light, her eyes would turn amber. How did she hurt Khalil?
Amaya approached Khalil. She kneeled before him and patted his head. Then she hugged his neck.
The tiger was impatient. ’I don’t need your petting and your hugging. I need you to get the damned knife from my mouth. You stupid human!’
The tiger whimpered. Amaya reached out inside its mouth to remove the dagger.
