Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 178: Trash Mistaken for Treasure
Afternoon.
When Lucas and Sophia returned to Blackstone Manor, they found Harper already waiting inside.
"Sophia, finally! You’re back—something big happened!"
"I know. You want to say Olivia’s out."
Harper raised a brow, the words she had prepared dying halfway in her throat.
"You... already know? And you’re not planning your next move?"
"Right now, I’m the one set to take over the Morgan Group in name. Dylan is handling things for me. If Olivia’s out, she’ll come to me first."
Sophia held her waist and dropped onto the sofa, completely drained.
"No, wait—you should be more nervous! She’s a little white lotus. Your accident back then—maybe she didn’t plan it, but she definitely knew something."
Harper looked uneasy. Some nuisances were harmless, but when they stirred up trouble, nothing good ever followed.
"Massage my waist for a minute."
"Huh?"
Harper’s hands automatically moved to her waist.
"What happened to you?"
"I experienced something you don’t, and now I’m tired."
It took Harper several seconds—then it hit her. Her face instantly flushed red.
"Sophia!"
"Relax. You’re practically becoming an old maid. Maybe worry about your own lifelong happiness. Olivia doesn’t need your concern—every move she makes is already in my hands."
"Hmph! Sophia, you’ve changed. You didn’t used to be like this. You told me you’d take care of me! Said you’d give me the best things in the world!"
Sophia’s lips twitched.
"You sure that wasn’t from one of your dreams?"
"Sophia!"
"Alright, alright, I’ll stop. We’re going to the police station later. I’m sure someone is dying to see me—probably to show off. And I’ll be bringing them something too... a little gift ensuring they’ll never get their hands on a single cent of my assets."
"Fine, let’s go together."
Sophia smirked, a trace of disdain flashing in her eyes.
...
Police station.
Andrew still had a smile on his face.
A wedding in the family always put him in a good mood.
"You’re here," he said proactively.
"You seem happy. Olivia’s getting married. But have you thought about what comes after? Do you think that man truly loves her? Even if others can’t see through it, you should."
Andrew couldn’t hide his smugness.
"What, you’re scared now? Everything you faked your death to obtain—and in the end, it still returns to our family. You thought you won? You failed. Utterly. I will never let the Morgan family fall into your hands."
Sophia’s lips curled.
Next to her, Harper—never one to hold back—snorted.
"Andrew, you really are getting old. Do you honestly think Olivia will live happily after marrying Ethan? Use your brain. Ethan betrayed Sophia first, then betrayed Olivia, then crawled back to Olivia again... only because he failed to win Sophia back."
"Harper, our Morgan family business has nothing to do with an outsider like you."
Harper rolled her eyes dramatically.
"No one wants to be involved. I’m just stating facts. If I say you’re stupid, you prove it. If I say you have brains, I don’t see the evidence."
Her ability to mock people was almost on Sophia’s level.
Andrew swallowed his anger.
"What, nothing to say? Feeling guilty?"
"You insolent child. I won’t argue with you. This is our family matter, not yours. No matter what you say, once I’ve decided something, I won’t change it. Even if Ethan is lying to me, it’s still better than letting you two get anything."
Andrew had reached a point where as long as it wasn’t Sophia, he didn’t care—
Even if the entire Morgan inheritance ended up with Ethan, he’d accept it willingly.
"Harper, don’t bother," Sophia said calmly. "If he’s willing to hand over the family empire he worked so hard for, there’s nothing we can do about it. But I am curious—by letting Olivia marry him, are you trying to destroy her... or destroy him?"
Her voice dripped with dramatic irony.
Destroy her—meaning destroy his own daughter.
Destroy him—meaning letting Olivia ruin Ethan’s life.
"Sophia, don’t think I’ll let you slander people just because I indulge you sometimes," Andrew snapped. "You’re just jealous you can’t have what you want, aren’t you?"
Sophia let out a light laugh.
"They already delivered the wedding invitation to me. I know the ceremony will happen soon. But what about after the wedding? Once they marry, the entire city will gossip about Olivia. Do you honestly think the Trump family will tolerate people throwing mud at their name? From what I know, Thomas cares a lot about reputation. Do you really think he’ll allow a woman who’s the target of public ridicule to marry into his family?"
"Enough," Andrew barked. "Everything you say is just because you can’t get the Morgan Group. I won’t fall for it. You should leave. And remember—Olivia is your sister. Make sure you bring a wedding gift." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
At the words wedding gift, Harper exploded.
"Wedding gift? Andrew, is your brain filled with water or stuffed with pork fat? You actually have the nerve to say that? A ’wedding gift’? I’ll ’gift’ your damn—!"
"Harper."
Sophia caught her arm, calming her down.
Andrew showed no shame at all.
"What, only you people are allowed to push the limits?"
Suddenly, his gaze shifted past them.
Sophia’s brows lifted slightly. She turned—and saw Ethan in a formal suit, with Olivia smiling next to him. Both stood right behind them.
Ethan moved even faster than she expected.
"Sophia, what are you doing here?" he asked.
"And what are you doing here?" she countered.
"He’s my father. I’m visiting him. Do I need your permission?"
Olivia, upon seeing Sophia, practically seethed with hatred.
Ethan squeezed Olivia’s hand gently. "Don’t get worked up."
Forcing herself calm, Olivia glared at Sophia.
"You should’ve received my wedding invitation, right? The man you used to like—he’s mine now. He’s going to marry me and have children with me. Everything you once wished for will never happen. Instead—they’ll all become mine."
Sophia looked her up and down calmly. Standing, she was a bit taller—enough to create a natural pressure.
"You didn’t seriously think I liked him back then, did you? I only agreed to the engagement because your little fox tail hadn’t shown yet—and I listened to you two."
She let out a cold, low laugh.
"You really thought picking up trash meant you found treasure?"
Olivia’s eyes widened. "You—!"
"Olivia, be realistic for once," Sophia said, voice flat but lethal. "If I truly wanted to crush you, do you think you’d still be standing here?"
She sighed softly, glanced at Olivia’s now pale face, and smiled—red lips curling with amusement.
"You really are pathetically stupid~"
