QT: Against My Will-Chapter 591 - 10.03 - Bing Shi Is Scared - Rebirth Of The Heart
In the luxurious hospital ward, the pregnant woman relaxed on the bed while her husband fed her the nourishing congee. A humorous scene on the television brought genuine laughter to their faces.
Nearby, Edward lay comfortably on the sofa, his arm stretched out behind his head. Seraphine sat nearby, her position allowing him to easily wrap his other arm around her waist.
A single chair was positioned next to a coffee table, waiting for William to take a seat.
Sitting down, William couldn’t understand how Edward still had access to so much money despite his family’s efforts to cut off his finances, "Do you live nearby?" he asked.
Edward wasn’t the most hardworking person, but he would sometimes help out with the family’s business. This Edward, before William became lethargic and distant, was more carefree than ever.
Seraphine poured William a cup of tea, "Yes. After Edward’s apartment was confiscated, we’ve been staying at the hotel closest to the hospital.
In short, XiaoPu’s birth mother could give birth to him at any time, and they didn’t want to miss it.
"Thank you." William took the cup of tea and looked at his cousin again. Had someone cut out his tongue? Why hadn’t he said a word yet? There were so many things happening at once, and so many questions, that he didn’t know where to begin.
Had Seraphine become such a bad influence on him? William struggled to connect the Edward he knew with the one before him.
William’s expression was somber as he began to explain their family history to Seraphine. "You see, we grew up in a world where everyone seemed to have an ulterior motive."
He continued, "People would set up elaborate schemes to deceive us, making an accident look incredibly convincing. It was as if we were constantly surrounded by those who wanted to take advantage of us."
Seraphine listened attentively, "I understand why your family would perceive me in a similar way."
She refilled Edward’s cup, "But why would your cousin suddenly want to marry a commoner in his prime? Does he have any health problems that would prevent him from... I mean, did you ever wonder if it might be me who married him out of Pitt..."
Edward sat up on the sofa and covered her mouth as he took a sip of his tea, "Don’t try to make sense of our relationship and just let it be what it is," he whispered softly, "We fell in love, plain and simple."
"..." Seraphine nodded quietly, "Okay."
William leaned forward in his chair and made an offer to Edward and Seraphina, "I have an apartment not too far from the hospital. It might be more comfortable for both of you to stay there during this time."
"Thanks for the offer, but we can manage," Edward looked at William. At first glance, there seemed to be nothing wrong with William, but he was the soul that Bing Shi had as her mission.

The story of Edward cheating on Isabelle had taken the public by storm.
Isabelle’s connections had proved to be truly remarkable. Edward didn’t even have to wiggle a pinky finger, and the entire world already knew about his sin.
Even stoic professionals who typically discussed business deals and golf scores couldn’t resist delving into the juicy details of his love affair.
Xuan Mu wanted the whole world to know about his relationship with his wife - a story that would be remembered for years to come... and this, it seemed, was his solution.
The hospital corridors were filled with reporters hoping to get some juicy information to feed the public’s insatiable appetite.
As the media circus grew more frenzied, Xuan Mu realized he should hold a press conference.

In a grand but solemn room within the hospital, Edward faced the throngs of reporters, microphones, and flashing cameras.
He wore a meticulously tailored black shirt that not only emphasized his stature, but also tastefully accentuated his frame. Complementing the shirt, he wore casual black pants that offered a relaxed demeanor.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Edward began, greeting the people in the room, "I stand before you today to officially announce my relationship with Seraphine. The truth is, our relationship has caused quite a storm in the world. We’ve had our struggles, and we may have more to come."
He continued, "But let’s get one thing straight: I’ve never been more resolute in my life. Seraphine deserves every ounce of respect and happiness. So, if anyone out there thinks they can challenge that, come talk to me. I’ll handle it, and I won’t back down. She means everything to me, and I’ll protect her with everything I’ve got."
(Reporter 1): "Is it true that you both cheated on your respective partners to be together? Aren’t you afraid of the saying: once a cheater, always a cheater?"
Edward replied, "Yes, we did. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. It’s a betrayal of trust and a hurtful act that we cannot justify. We understand that karma may come our way, and we’re willing to face it together. As for my past relationship with Isabelle, I’m committed to making amends and making sure she’s compensated.
(Reporter 2): "Can you clarify whether or not there are any clauses in your relationship with Seraphine that outline any financial obligations or benefits for either of the parties?"
Edward didn’t give it much thought before replying, "We’ve kept it simple, so there’s no paperwork, but I can confirm that we have a binding agreement to love and support each other. As for the financial clauses, well, we both agree that love is priceless.
(Reporter 3): "Have you made any arrangements regarding the division of your property or assets in the event of a divorce?"
Edward continued to answer without a pause, "I’m no fortune teller, but our focus is on making this work, not planning for its end. Next question."
(Reporter 4): "Can you comment on the rumors suggesting a possible health reason for your sudden marriage?"
Edward replied with a corny smile, "I’ve heard many rumors, but this is a new one. The only disease we’re suffering from is ’Unconditional Love’. It is incurable, and we are perfectly fine with that."
Bing Shi tried to unlock the bathroom door, shaking the handle violently, |"Who are you and what have you done to my husband?! This behavior is so out of character! I’m scared! I’m scared! I’m scaaaaareeeed! Open the door! I want to get out!"|
No matter what questions were thrown at Edward, he emerged from the press conference as not only a loving individual, but also a thoughtful and determined one at that, |"May I present to you...our Scorchy."|
’囧...Does Scorchy like PDA or something? Because that’s what he had been doing the moment we popped up in this world,’ Bing Shi started to fidget nervously, suddenly afraid of what his Scorchy was capable of doing, |"Don’t tell me you’ve been treating other women in a similar way."|
|"I’ve been saving Scorchy exclusively for you, only,"| he responded with a chuckle.
(Reporter 5): "Are you sure this isn’t all just a publicity stunt?"
Edward raised an eyebrow before replying, "If I were planning a stunt, believe me, it would involve a lot more excitement than this press conference.
His unwavering commitment to Seraphine, his willingness to admit past mistakes, and his dedication to making things right painted a picture of a man who had not only fallen head over heels in love, but also had the intelligence to navigate the intricate facets of publicity.
(Reporter 6): "From your speech, you and Seraphine seem to be deeply in love. Why isn’t she with you today?"
|"HUSBAND, I’M AFRAID TO BE ALONE! COME HERE AND LOCK YOURSELF IN WITH ME TOO, PLEASE!"|
"I had to persuade her..." Edward paused, "to stay hidden."
|I’M SUPER LOOOONELYYYY!"|
Edward paused for another second, "Frankly, I was afraid that if she was here, she’d outshine me and steal my spotlight. She is simply amazing. But rest assured, she’s with us in spirit, and I’m here to represent both of us."
His response conveyed both his admiration for his wife and his playful humility.
In the middle of the press conference, a sudden commotion shook the room. The attention of the audience shifted as a woman burst into the room, her presence electrifying. Reporters hastily adjusted their lenses to focus on this unexpected arrival.
She navigated the sea of people, her path leading to the podium where Edward stood.
With a bold leap, she cleared the remaining distance and appeared beside Edward.
The room fell silent.
She leaned in and kissed his lips in a bold and unscripted move, right in front of the flashing cameras and the stunned audience.
At first, Edward’s eyes widened in disbelief at the pressure on his lips. The unexpectedness of the moment was clearly registered in his expression, changing from utter shock to a passionate reaction in the blink of an eye.
As quickly as the surprise had washed over him, his heart took over. In an instant, he was kissing her back with even more fervor. His hands found her back, pulling her closer, and he cupped her head to hold her in place.
Even when the woman pulled away briefly, Edward’s longing for her was palpable. With an almost instinctive and magnetic movement, he leaned down to capture her lips once more.
It was a bold move, especially for two people who had always avoided public displays of affection, preferring to keep their private lives under wraps.
But in that moment, they felt free, if only a little.
Every kiss spoke of their deep history, an unspoken language.
Their love wasn’t flaunted in a showy manner; rather, the kiss they shared had an aura that was distinctly intimidating.
It was as if their connection carried an unspoken warning, a silent declaration that any attempt to come between them would be met with fierce resistance.
