QT: Against My Will-Chapter 547 - 8.64 - Spacious Behemoth - Monster Heist
After what seemed like an eternity, Victor finally emerged from the bathroom, his face contorted in a mixture of disgust and sickness. Without wasting a second, he lunged toward Alain, grabbing him by the collar with a strong grip, "What did you put in there?"
Alain, who was known for his silent nature, simply shrugged, his eyes meeting Victor’s with an enigmatic gaze. Though he didn’t speak, his expression hinted at a mischievous satisfaction.
"..." Victor looked around. As he scanned the room, he found the eyes of Laura, Aria, and even Juliet herself fixed upon him, their expressions varying from amusement to curiosity.
"He is tougher than he looks," Aria was a bit surprised by Victor’s fast recovery, "Didn’t you say they had to pump Liam’s stomach the last time?"
Lura nodded, "Seems like he has some secret superpower we didn’t know about or a guardian angel watching over him."
Liam stepped forward, offering Victor a glass of water, "Easy there, Victor. It’s just Alain being Alain. We’ve all survived his cooking mishaps before, haven’t we?"
Victor released his grip on Alain’s "You’re right," he admitted with a scoff when he felt traces of new energy coursing through his body, "I should have known better to accept food from someone with the surname Night."
Aria was chatting with the handsome Adonis on Shina’s phone, when she received a message from Shina’s parents, "A prenup? Did our lady just marry someone?"
Liam’s eyebrows shot up in astonishment. "Married? Shina? Who is the unlucky soul?"
When Bing Shi returned back on her own, they tried to sneak a peek over her shoulders to get a glimpse of her new husband.
"Where is he?" they asked, "Your new husband?"
"Oh?" Bing Shi looked behind her, "On his way to end it with his previous fiance."
"..." What type of scum had she found this time? Both Earl Fester and Ezikiel had died, so they expected a similar fate to befall this third guy.
Bing Shi wanted to cry when they began to make bets on Leon’s death, ’Hey, is it necessary to do it right before my eyes?’ She grabbed her bag and pulled out a few precious gems to make a bet too.

The next day, Bing Shi climbed into the bus with her team. She sat at the seat in the front and waved at her parents through the window.
Her parents stood on the porch of their home, watching them depart. The morning sunlight cast a warm glow on their faces, and Bing Shi could see the mix of emotions in their eyes—pride, concern, and a touch of nostalgia.
The familiar streets and landmarks gradually faded into the distance as they embarked on their journey.
They knew that this could potentially be the last time they would see their families. As full-fledged LADs, they would have to roam deeper into the dangerous area without supervision.

Felicia really went out of her way to welcome Shina’s team back this time. The custom-made bus was a magnificent, spacious behemoth. It looked like any two-story bus with black windows on the outside, but on the inside, it seemed as though Felicia had conspired with their Lady to provide them with the ultimate luxury—a luxurious haven on wheels.
Each seat was like a plush throne with built-in massage functions, designed for maximum comfort during their long journeys. It came equipped with its own personal entertainment system, ensuring that every team member could indulge in their preferred forms of entertainment during the journey.
The onboard kitchen boasted state-of-the-art appliances, allowing for gourmet meals to be prepared and enjoyed on the go, and a minibar that provided them with various beverages.
As the night fell upon the bus, Bing Shi decided to transform her bus seat into a comfortable bed to ensure a restful beauty sleep.
Half of the team continued to keep watch and ensure their safety while the others took a nap too. Having both Leon and Victor on the bus just didn’t sit well with some of them.
Ru Quan’s gloom shrouded him like a perpetually miserable raincloud. It was an aura that was as much a part of him as the blood coursing through his veins.
Most people would run for the hills upon encountering him, convinced that he carried a curse passed down from some ancient civilization.
But not this bunch of oddballs that he was traveling with.
They couldn’t care less about conventional warnings or common sense. They would laugh in the face of danger and turn mishaps into inside jokes.
Laura leaned over Ru Quan’s seat, looking at him from above playfully, "So, Leon, how did our Lady manage to win your heart? Was it love at first sight or did she have to employ some love potion?"
Ru Quan glanced at Victor’s seat, "I think it was her exceptional talent for enraging people that truly captured my heart."
"Really," Victor said, catching Ru Quan’s eye, "Didn’t know you were such a masochist, falling for a woman who excels at making everyone miserable."
Shina yawned before shooting back at Victor, "Did I hear right? You willingly eat Alain’s cooking and dare to make fun of Leon’s masochism?"
Victor smirked, "Enduring Alain’s cooking is one thing, but surviving as your spouse? That’s a whole new level of endurance."
His words caused the minibus to erupt in laughter.
"..." Ru Quan looked at Bing Shi, a bewildered expression on his face, "What did I do to be at the receiving end of your roast?"
"It’s not my fault that you fell victim to your own words," Shina reminded him about what he said that made him fall in love with her in the first place. (Enraging other people.)
"..." Ru Quan’s expression softened as he recalled his own words. What else could he say? That he had loved her for what felt like an eternity?
Shina patted his head in reassurance, "If you’ve managed to keep your wits while drowning in Victor’s idiocy, then you should have no problem surviving a few rounds with me."
Bing Shi’s words had the minibus erupting in laughter once again, and Ru Quan couldn’t help but chuckle himself. He realized that if he didn’t stop her, she’d keep roasting everyone simply because he had admitted to enjoying it about her.
He leaned towards her and, in a surprising move, lifted her mask halfway to show her bottom face, "Come on, it’s time to get some sleep, you genius," he covered her mouth with his palm.
It was his way of showing that he enjoyed her teasing, but wanted to put an end to it for the moment.
Laura turned towards her team and mouthed out soundlessly ’I. L.O.V.E. H.I.M.’
She had witnessed their Lady’s ability to ruffle feathers and ignite fiery reactions in others firsthand, so Ru Quan’s answer felt like a legit reason for him to fall in love with Shina Night. It proved that he knew her well enough to say something other than the usual basics.

"..." Victor found himself reluctantly swept up in Shina’s wild and absurd adventure, all thanks to a series of utterly ridiculous circumstances. Little did he know that being abducted by her team was just the tip of the iceberg.
It all began with Shina’s audacious plan to turn him into a walking power source for her bus. She presented him with an ultimatum: either enjoy the free ride and join the adventure with her team or be tied up like a helpless prisoner and get his powers drained by force.
Shina’s carefree attitude and devil-may-care approach were legendary among her teammates. What made her think that Victor would agree to stay instead of running away? They often asked themselves the same question.
When Victor ordered Nora to go through the history of her teammates, he couldn’t help but notice how relatively clean his own record was in comparison. Hurting Bertha was almost like a ticket that got him access to a group with a checkered past.

Laura’s heart raced as she hurriedly stormed out of the bus and made her way toward the school’s principal office. She had received a distressing call about her sibling getting into a fight with neighboring high schoolers.
Meanwhile, Bing Shi and Ru Quan decided to take a stroll around the elementary school, curious to see how the children in this world were faring.
Near the playground, Bing Shi’s sharp gaze caught sight of something amiss. A small group of kids had formed a circle, their attention focused on a girl and a boy in their midst.
As she approached, she heard the jeering words echoing through the air.
"Ethan and Emma, your mother is a nobody! You don’t even have a father like the rest of us!" taunted one of the older boys, his voice laced with cruelty.
Ethan clung to Emma’s side, his innocent face filled with hurt.
"Is it true your mother sold herself to a pack of wolves just to keep food on your table?"
"My father said she is the biggest slut in town!"
"If you don’t stop picking on us right now," Emma’s voice quivered with a mixture of anger, "I’ll have to bring my sister into this. She has become a LAD, and she won’t hesitate to teach you a lesson!"
"A LAD?" One of the boys, after witnessing Emma’s confident assertion, couldn’t help but feel a mix of insecurity. Seeking answers, he ran to his father, who came to pick him up. "Dad, how can someone like Emma’s sister could become a LAD?"
His father felt a pang of discomfort at the question, "Emma’s sister may have found her way in using dirty tricks and connections," he remarked with a touch of bitterness. "It’s not something to be admired or celebrated. True success is earned through hard work and integrity, not through shortcuts."
Emma fought back the tears that threatened to spill over when she heard the man’s words.
