QT: Against My Will-Chapter 523 - 8.40 - No Warm Up - Monster Heist
Victor Egerton, Josiah Tyrrel, Lucilius Mikhael, Tia Knight, and Nathaniel Hauxley had all arrived around the same time. The barracks staff had grouped them up based on their strength and abilities to prevent some instances of abuse or intimidation.
"Hi there," Bing Shi walked over to greet Tyrrel, Lucilius, and Tia, "I’m Shina Night, nice to meet you."
Tyrrel, who exuded an aura of strength and power, nodded in acknowledgment. "Josiah Tyrrel." His dark brown hair was cropped close to his head, and his piercing green eyes seemed to hold a fierce intensity.
Lucilius, whose powerful gaze tried to unnerve Bing Shi, simply said, "Lucilius Mikhael." His black hair was neatly styled, and his eyes were a deep shade of blue that seemed to hold many secrets. He towered over the other alphas, with his skin the darkest shade of brown, and his well-defined muscles hinted at a strength that could not be underestimated.
Tia introduced herself to Bing Shi with boisterous energy and an aggressive stance, "I’m Tia Knight. Hope you can keep up." Her ginger hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail, and her confident and powerful presence filled the room.
Bing Shi felt a rush of excitement as she met the alphas from the legendary clans, and she couldn’t help but let out a small squeal of delight as if meeting them for the first time.
Despite the allure of the powerful alphas, Silvia had never made a move on any of them. She knew that they all had harems of omegas waiting for them with their offspring back at home. Unlike the smaller clans like Juliet’s and Liam’s, the big clans never failed to give birth to alphas and omegas.
"So cool! So cool!" Bing Shi exclaimed, barely able to contain her excitement as she no longer had to hide her presence, "I hope I can keep up with you too."
"..." It was the first time they had encountered an Alpha with such a unique and dominant aura. Shina’s energy was so vibrant and commanding that it created a force field around her, repelling any attempts to overpower or intimidate her.
"It’s such an honor to meet you all," Shina bowed respectfully in acknowledgment to each alpha, "Oh, and by the way, I’ve already chosen my bunk bed. I hope you guys don’t mind," she said before skipping back to her room to grab a towel and a new uniform to take a shower first.
Tyrrel, Lucilius, and Tia exchanged a quick glance before their eyes settled on Victor and Nathaniel, who had already moved to the bedroom. They had witnessed the tension between Shina and the two during graduation and could sense that there might be some enmity between them.
Nathaniel quickly assessed the bunk bed situation. Seeing that Bing Shi had already claimed the top bunk furthest from the doors, he threw his bag up to the top bunk next to hers with a quick and effortless motion, claiming it as his own.
"..." Victor thought Nathaniel would choose the remaining top bunk closest to the door, as that would be the next most private and desirable spot, but the male lead choose the spot in the middle. Not wanting to sleep under anyone, he decided to take the remaining top bunk closest to the door.
Bing Shi was pleasantly surprised to see that there were three separate shower stalls, each with its own showerhead. Next to the showers, there were also three toilets, each in its own enclosed space for privacy.
After a quick shower, Bing Shi quickly dried off and changed into her combat pants and a simple tank top. She wrapped her hair in a towel and sat down on the couch to go through their schedule.
The door to the living quarters suddenly burst open, and she was met with the sight of two stern-looking drill instructors standing outside. Their expressions were unyielding despite the sight of the half-naked, fresh-out-of-shower alphas before them.
"Recruits! You have five minutes to gather your gear and assemble in the courtyard. Move quickly," one of them barked before swiftly turning on their heel and striding away.

Elera hastily gathered her gear and made her way to the courtyard, where she was joined by other recruits. As they assembled, the group quickly grew to around a thousand people.
The drill instructor’s voice cut through the air, "Alright, listen up! Some of you will be joining a mission with the LAD today!"
His announcement sent a ripple of excitement and anticipation through the crowd.
A few intimidating individuals appeared soon. Stepping out of their armored vehicles, they wore black tactical gear. They approached the group of recruits and started to pick out a few individuals.
The recruits looked on nervously as the LADs singled out those who would be going on the mission with them.
Markus, one of the LADs, scanned the group with a critical eye, looking for a particular individual. When he didn’t see who he was looking for, he called out, "Which one of you is Shina Night?"
"I’m Shina Night." Bing Shi raised her hand from the back, causing everyone to look at her. There was a moment of silence as everyone took in her appearance without the mask.
Markus nodded, "You’ve been selected to lead this mission," he said, gesturing for her to follow him.
"Yes, sir!" Bing Shi felt her heart skip a beat. ’Lead WHAAAT?!’
Suddenly, Marcus stopped and turned to her. "Pick ten other recruits to join you."
"Yes, sir!" Bing Shi eagerly raised her hand. As she did so, ten individuals materialized by her side, ready to accompany her on the upcoming task.
"..." Marcus was taken aback by how quickly she gathered the people she needed, intimidated even. Exactly ten appeared. Not a single more or less.
As they made their way toward the vehicles, Bing Shi noticed some of the remnants of her team were picked by Nathaniel, Victor, and other top ranks that were also tasked to lead a mission.
After a few minutes of inspection, the LADs made their decision and gestured for the chosen recruits to follow them. Elera and the rest of the recruits watched them go, knowing that they had just witnessed a group of elite soldiers in action.
The drill instructor’s voice boomed across the courtyard, catching the attention of the remaining group, "Attention! We’ve got work to do. Gather your power and fall in line behind me. Move it, move it, move it!"

As Markus drove the vehicle, he began to explain the details of the mission to Bing Shi and the other recruits. The interior of the vehicle had been transformed into a makeshift briefing room, with screens and other equipment set up for communication and planning.
"Your objective is to provide support to the LAD team already on the ground," Markus instructed. "As part of your mission, you will be responsible for providing logistical support, including medical assistance, ammunition, and supplies. However, if the situation escalates, you will also need to provide backup and engage in combat with Feroces Bellatores."
After Markus finished briefing the team, Bing Shi and the others quickly gathered their gear and began to put it on.
"Lock and load, team," Markus said, his voice stern and serious. "We’re up against some serious opponents today, so I need all of you to be on your A-game."
Bing Shi couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle at Markus’s intensity. "Sir," she said as she put on her monkey mask, "I don’t know what an A game is. Where we come from, we only play at S-tier."
"Well then, let’s see that S-tier performance of yours in action," Markus said with a scoff as he brought the vehicle to a stop before the thick barrier after a three-hour drive. "The terrain is too rough for the vehicle to handle. You’ll have to proceed on foot from here on out."
Bing Shi and the rest of the team quickly disembarked their gear and weapons at the ready. "Douglas, take point. Every second counts."
"You got it," Douglas replied, deftly maneuvering through the rugged and unpredictable terrain.
As they continued on, the vines of the trees were reaching out like gnarled fingers, and the rustling of leaves and underbrush sounded like whispers in a haunted house.
Suddenly, a loud crackling sound echoed through the forest, followed by the snap of a twig. Without warning, a large beast burst forth from the bush, launching itself at Douglas.
"Don’t stop," Juliet sprang into action. With a single shot, she managed to hit the beast square in the chest, causing it to stumble and fall to the ground. With a quick flick of her wrist, she sent the beast flying far away, using it as a decoy to lure any other beasts that may be lurking in the area.
