Chapter 519: 8.36 - Train Station - Monster Heist

Felicia, poked her head out of the wardrobe at the sound of her name, "Yes, My Lady?"

Bing Shi gestured for her to come over, "Would you like to join me for dinner?" she asked.

Felicia’s face lit up at the invitation, "Of course, I would love to!" she said, hurrying over to Bing Shi’s desk. She watched hungrily at the food, savoring the taste and texture with her imagination.

Then, a strange force began to pull at Felicia’s spirit, tugging her towards her Lady’s body. The first thing she noticed was the aroma of food - a rich, savory smell that filled her nostrils and made her mouth water. Her body felt more real, more solid than it had before, and mainly, it was feeling sore all over! 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"You can use my body until the morning.

Enjoy your meal," the voice said, and Felicia understood. It was her Lady, offering her the use of her body so that she could experience the world in a physical form.

Felicia savored the flavors of the food as it filled her mouth. She could taste the rich spices and savory herbs, each bite a symphony of flavor and texture.

While she ate, tears fell down her cheeks, and she wasn’t sure if it was because of the pain coursing through her body or the delicious food filling her stomach. Nevertheless, she felt a profound sense of gratitude for the experience, thankful for the opportunity to feel alive once more.

After indulging in the delicious meal, Felicia decided to take a relaxing bath. While she filled the tub with warm water, she removed her clothes and the mask.

Standing before the mirror, Felicia exposed her Lady’s scarred face and body to the world. It was a vulnerable moment, and she felt frustrated with the neglect her Lady had shown her own body.

Lost in thought in the bathtub, Felicia was caught off guard when a man suddenly appeared by her side. Turning to face him, she asked, "Who are you?" A sense of unease settled over her, wondering if her Lady knew this person.

"Why ask for my help, when you still end up doing whatever you want?" Ru Quan ran his fingers through his hair in frustration, causing his hair to become disheveled.

He looked down at Felicia, his expression troubled. His wife never thought of taking care of her body in a normal way, which included eating to gain weight, did she?

It was clear that he was referring to her Lady, and Felicia felt a chill run down her spine. "You are disturbing my bath. State your business and leave at once."

Her voice didn’t tremble and she felt a small sense of pride for standing up for herself. She knew that her Lady would have approved of her assertiveness.

The man looked somewhat impressed by Felicia’s calm demeanor, "It concerns your husband," he said, his voice low and urgent. "He is worried about your recent behavior, and he wishes to discuss it with you in person."

The man regarded Felicia with a critical eye, as if he were evaluating her. Her expression turned cold in response, "I see," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Well, tell my husband that he can discuss his concerns with me at a more appropriate time. I am currently occupied."

Felicia was taken aback by the sudden outburst of laughter from the man. She looked at him, confused and a little alarmed.

"Your Lady holds an incredibly special place in my life," he said, his words dripping with a quiet intensity, "So, it’s crucial that you do whatever it takes to ensure her comfort, even if it means putting aside your own desires."

Despite his calm demeanor, however, there was a sense of cunningness and manipulation in the way he spoke. "Serve her well, Felicia," he added, his voice dropping to a low, ominous tone before disappearing into the shadows.

Felicia’s heart skipped a beat as she processed the man’s words. Suddenly, it dawned on her that he knew who she was all along.

Night had settled in, and the train station bustled with activity. The air was filled with the sounds of shuffling feet, rustling bags, and the occasional train whistle in the distance.

The tide of recruits came from all corners of the world, each with their own unique backgrounds and experiences. They couldn’t help but look around in the hope of catching sight of the alphas from the legendary clans such as the Egertons, Tyrrels, Hauxleys, Knights, and Mikhaels.

A particular group held the most presence, following behind one person in unity. The leader was a short figure with a mask resembling a monkey, and despite her unassuming appearance, the group looked up to her with reverence and respect.

The person in charge of the recruits stepped forward with a stern expression on his face. "Attention, recruits! We will now call out the names of those who will be departing on the first cabin." He began calling out each name from the top score down to the lowest, "Shina Night!"

"..." The recruits watched as Shina Night moved towards the train with a leisurely gait. Her monkey-like mask gave her an almost mischievous appearance.

They couldn’t help but feel a sense of intimidation. Her presence seemed to exude a dangerous aura, making it abundantly clear that she was on a completely different level from the rest of them. Nobody knew her gender, but they all assumed she must have been a female alpha.

Even the recruiter changed his behavior when Shina Night showed up before him. He straightened up and seemed to become more focused as if recognizing the importance of the recruits on the top. He nodded and began to call out the following people, "Victor Egerton...Josiah Tyrrel..."

"Shina Night’s team. Every single member of her group scored 97% or higher," whispered a person, who was in the same examination room with her team, "Shina herself was offered direct admission to the LAD’s 7th Special Operations Forces without even having to go through the standard examination process."

The conversation shifted to the topic of Shina Night’s team, and another person interjected with a quizzical expression. "It doesn’t make sense for someone to have a pre-existing team. Recruits are usually separated and trained within the military’s own structure, right?"

He shrugged, acknowledging that he was merely speculating, "Shina Night must have something the military values highly to receive even more special treatment than Nathaniel Hauxley."
