Pursuing Her Best Friend after Confession Failed-Chapter 182 - 113: Which Man Can Resist Black Silk? (Please Subscribe)_2
He worried for a moment what might happen if a classmate saw him with a girl at night, but then he remembered his luck seemed to have been quite good since his rebirth.
Soon, Li Yuan saw a tall, slender girl with a guitar case on her back, wearing black stockings, walking out of the Mei Yuan dormitory.
Li Yuan’s eyes lit up. He hurriedly approached her, his heart pounding as he greeted her with a smile, "Little Moon."
"Senior, sorry to keep you waiting," Zhong Tingyue said with a gentle smile.
In the moonlight, Zhong Tingyue’s skin seemed to glow. Combined with her curvy, model-like figure and her long legs clad in black stockings, Li Yuan found the sight exceptionally pleasing.
What man could possibly resist black stockings?
Zhong Tingyue noticed Li Yuan’s gaze fixated on her long legs. Her cheeks flushed slightly as she leaned closer and asked with a playful laugh, "Senior, do my legs look good?"
Li Yuan nodded instinctively. Among all the girls he knew, Zhong Tingyue’s legs were the most perfect; they were exactly his aesthetic. Those legs could kill a man.
Zhong Tingyue bit her lip, her eyes twinkling. "So, Senior, do you want to... touch them?"
Li Yuan’s expression brightened. Could such a good thing really be happening?
Unsure of Zhong Tingyue’s intentions, he tentatively asked, "Is that, uh, appropriate?"
Zhong Tingyue rolled her eyes at him, chuckling teasingly. "Oh, so you really do have ulterior motives, Senior. I knew you were scheming all along."
"And here I thought you were a gentleman."
"Little Moon, that’s not fair," Li Yuan retorted, his expression deadpan. "You can’t just fish with a straight hook. You have to at least use some bait."
He was neither a naïve boy nor the gentleman she was talking about.
Zhong Tingyue didn’t understand what Li Yuan meant by "bait."
"Senior, what do you mean?"
Li Yuan chuckled. "It means you have to offer some perks first, like..."
"Like what?"
"If you want to catch a fish, you have to scatter some bait. If you’re going to accuse me of having ulterior motives, you should at least let me nibble on the bait so I’ll take the hook, right?"
"Senior, I’m just now realizing you’re a bit of a bad boy," Zhong Tingyue scoffed playfully. She pursed her lips, looking at Li Yuan and thinking he had the same roguish charm as a male lead from an idol drama.
"Senior, I want to know, how did you win me over in our past life?"
Li Yuan looked directly into Zhong Tingyue’s eyes. Sparks seemed to fly between them until his intense gaze made her blush, at which point he withdrew his "killer gaze."
Li Yuan shrugged, looking at the slightly bashful Zhong Tingyue and teasing her, "What if I told you that you were the one who pursued me? Would you believe it?"
Zhong Tingyue rolled her eyes at him and giggled. "Not a chance."
"Well, if you don’t believe me, there’s nothing to be done about it," Li Yuan said, spreading his hands with a shrug. As the two of them walked side-by-side along the tree-lined path, he asked, "Are we going to the soccer field again tonight?"
Carrying her guitar, Zhong Tingyue kept pace with Li Yuan and asked with a mischievous laugh, "Senior, why the soccer field again? Are you planning some mischief?"
With his true intentions exposed, Li Yuan protested his innocence. "Little Moon, how could you call it mischief? I’m simply using my appreciative eyes to witness the most beautiful dance in the world."
Zhong Tingyue pouted and huffed. "Hmph. Senior, I never realized you were such a smooth talker. You must have tricked plenty of girls."
Completely unfazed, Li Yuan gazed at Zhong Tingyue’s gorgeous profile. "It’s not worth my time to trick ordinary girls. If I’m going to trick someone, it has to be a Moonlight Goddess like you."
Her tone cheerful and a little proud, Zhong Tingyue replied, "That’s not necessarily true. Our Daxia University has plenty of beautiful women, and I’m not the prettiest."
"But in my heart, Little Moon, you are the most beautiful."
Li Yuan thought to himself. She’s not wrong. As a top university, Daxia University really does have its share of top-tier beauties. The two girls I’ve been intimate with are just as beautiful as Zhong Tingyue, but they lack her aloof, goddess-like aura.
"By the way, Senior, we have a very beautiful girl in our dorm. Would you like to meet her?" Zhong Tingyue asked, looking at Li Yuan playfully.
Li Yuan shook his head. "Not really."
The image of Bai Weixi surfaced in Zhong Tingyue’s mind, and she glared at Li Yuan. "Hmph, you say one thing but mean another. If you saw her, you’d definitely want to meet her."
"Too bad, though. You won’t get the chance. My beautiful roommate already has a boyfriend, and he’s her childhood sweetheart."
Li Yuan watched the smug, giggling Zhong Tingyue, finding the situation both amusing and incredibly thrilling.
He mused to himself. I wonder if you’d still be laughing if I told you that I’m your beautiful roommate’s childhood sweetheart and that we’ve already had intimate contact. Would the two of you, best friends, immediately turn on each other and become sworn enemies? He thought about it for a moment, then decided it was unlikely. Both Zhong Tingyue and Bai Weixi are proud women at heart. If the truth were to come out and they were faced with that battleground, they would probably unite against a common enemy. And I would be that common enemy.
As they continued to walk, the two eventually found themselves at the soccer field, as if by unspoken agreement, ending up in the same old place, the same exact spot.
Li Yuan smiled. "Little Moon, are you going to play and sing for me today?"
Zhong Tingyue took the guitar from its case. Her fingers brushed against the strings, and a crisp, pleasant sound drifted through the air.
"Senior, I practiced this song, ’Nanshan South,’ all day. Would you like to hear it?"
Li Yuan nodded without a moment’s hesitation. After all, hearing Zhong Tingyue play and sing was the very reason he’d come out so late.
