Psychic Overlord-Chapter 93: The Battle of Al-Rafid 5
Chapter 93: The Battle of Al-Rafid 5
Kaizer marveled at his power increase. He couldn’t measure the specific numbers since he would need the academy’s facilities, but he could tentatively say that his telekinetic force alone had grown by a factor of 1.5 times!
His full-force telekinetic blast was rated to be akin to a speeding train hitting one head-on, which had instantly killed Soren but had only caused Bjorn slight discomfort. However, his current telekinetic force was enough to stump Bjorn and slightly injure him, which meant that his force had crossed a certain threshold.
Kaizer carefully enveloped his body in telekinetic power and utilized the same amount of exertion he did previously to enhance his body. Immediately, he saw the world blur around him as if the ground shrunk, going from where he stood to standing right in front of the stunned Bjorn, who had yet to react.
Even Kaizer was surprised by the increase in his speed compared to before. Previously, he could barely move to avoid Bjorn’s attacks even though he had premonition to assist him, but now even the enhanced Bjorn couldn’t easily track him.
Since he was here, Kaizer decided to clench his fist and throw out a punch to see how his force had increased. His blow passed through Bjorn’s guard and struck him in the gut, causing the man to be slightly lifted into the air.
To Kaizer’s shock, a cannon of air blasted out from behind Bjorn, causing the nearby manor walls to crack as if it had been hit with artillery, and the thunderous sound was greater than a thunderclap.
This was the remnant force that was leftover after the main attack, so why about Bjorn, who suffered 90% of the blow?
Kaizer took back his fist slowly, causing the man to land on his two feet. His head bowed as he clutched his stomach with both arms. Eventually, he seemed to be unable to remain standing as he fell to the ground in that same position, his hands never leaving his stomach.
Kaizer watched him silently until his expression changed because he could feel an infusion of psychic force embedding it within his base power. As the only person he had struck was Bjorn, it meant...
He was dead!
Kaizer faltered as he came to terms with his shocking achievement. A single punch had killed an S-class esper!
Glancing at his fists, he couldn’t help but wonder what kind of height he would reach in the future, and if he would even still be himself after attaining such power.

"You are crass and annoying!" Purple Moon roared as she fended off another wave of death energy that swarmed at her, using her searing moonlight as a shield to cover her form.
The elegant dark esper was now disheveled and wretched, her clothes torn in various places, which showed pale skin that was marred with both blood and a certain dark miasma that seemed to be eroding her life.
Her hair was scattered about, and her eyes were wide with a mixture of fear and hatred, her head turning left and right crazily to try and identify where her attacker would strike from next.
"Tsk, tsk, you look like shit, sis. How about I sponsor a trip to the salon for you, eh?" Rina’s teasing voice sounded out, coming from the shadows.
The area had been flooded with death energy, which was not only toxic, constantly eroding any living thing and even draining her stamina as it reacted to her moonlight barrier, but it also restricted her sensory abilities.
Purple Moon was not stupid; she had tried to escape from this cage many times, but whenever she did, Rina would unleash a severe blow of death energy that would not only force her to defend but would disrupt her rhythm.
All the wounds she suffered currently were lessons she had been forcibly taught about trying to escape, so now she understood that her only way out was either to overcome this foe or rescue.
Azrael and Bjorn, where the fuck were they? Couldn’t the two of them, after all their boasting and posturing, take down a mere Overlord? It was two against one, and the two had abilities that, when matched together, restrained him!
"Oh? I sensed another death in the courtyard. Let’s see, that death energy is quite huge, that was definitely a strong person when they were alive. Could that be the Bjorn guy?" Rina commented aloud, her voice sounding interested.
Purple Moon’s face changed greatly. "Impossible! Bjorn cannot die so easily, especially not to an S-class esper who has only been training for a month!"
Rina chuckled. "Pffft, says who? My brother is the candidate for the strongest, do you think that title is a joke? You have no idea the kind of hellish training he had endured these past two months."
Rina’s voice became more sinister the next moment. "Besides, who said a recently trained S-class esper cannot kill another of their rank? Aren’t I about to kill you now?"
Purple Moon’s pupils constricted as the death energy, which wafted around her aimlessly, seemed to have become agitated, surging towards her from all sides like a dam that had been released, or as if she were the center of a whirlpool.
Purple Moon was shocked because previous attacks were mostly single-direction surges of moderate force, not enough to overwhelm her but forcing her to work for her survival. This time, it was an overwhelming surge that she could not even withstand from the outset, pushing her into a critical situation at the first touch.
Purple Moon realized that truly, she was about to die!
Naturally, she was exceedingly unwilling, as she was a talented and beautiful S-class esper many top espers sought as their partner because two high-class espers were more likely to give birth to a powerful esper child.
This job was supposed to be her last, a relatively simple one where she would obtain the final resources she needed for a certain ritual, never expecting to actually perish!
Purple Moon felt her energy begin to give out, despairing that this accursed death energy was so strong and so tenacious while also regretting taking on this woman without knowing her danger.
"Please wait! I am an S-class esper, let me live, and I can be your brother’s partner! If he already has one, then I can be an alternate partner who bears his children!" Purple Moon pleaded loudly.
Purple Moon knew she had nothing of value to a fellow S-class esper like Rina - who was also a woman - but she had value to Rina’s brother. Rina might not like the idea, but as a sister, she would definitely consider her brother’s best interests.
The death energy almost paused for a few seconds, giving Purple Moon hope that her offer was being considered. As long as it was up for consideration, as long as she could preserve her life, the future was fine.
Anyway, Overlord was the future strongest, far better than 99% of her listed suitors, so being with him did not make her feel much aversion. Along with a sister this strong, the family clan they would create might even stand atop the esper world, making Purple Moon’s gloom wash away as she seemed to see a bright future.
However, Rina’s reply was in a tone that was a mixture of sullen and cold.
"How dare you covet what is mine, you filthy roadside slut?"
"..huh?" was all Purple Moon could whimper, her confusion making her defenses become lax as Rina unleashed her death energy at its strongest output so far, easily shattering the moonlight defense of Purple Moon.
Purple Moon’s body decomposed rapidly and turned into a mixture of ashes and energy, joining the sea that Rina naturally possessed as it all swept back towards her like a torrent, entering her body and revealing the manor hallway.
"Hmph, what a wretched whore. Good riddance anyway, she would have dirtied my brother by even being near him." Rina muttered cruelly, her eyes flashing with a slight madness that concealed itself later.
Rina glanced downwards, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "I wonder how those other bitches are doing?"

Vargas adopted a tight boxing stance, his breathing labored as he forcibly focused on his foe and ignored the pieces of ice that covered parts of his body as well as the frosty breath that escaped his lips with each breath.
The courtyard they were fighting in had changed greatly, going from a quaint area of relaxation to something straight out of the ice age. Formations of stalagmite and stalactite-like protrusions of ice appeared in almost every corner of the courtyard, and the plant life that had once been here was frozen in eternal death.
Vargas only had eyes for his foe, Crystal Ice, who was standing on a small platform of ice as her pale skin seemed to vibrate with a cyan color. The frost she passively released further reduced the temperature around her as she looked down on her foe from a higher position.
