Chapter 75: Mission End

"Eh, not too bad, Lunin boy. I was about to suggest that you control them, but you seem to have your head wrapped around solidly." Blaze nodded his head with satisfaction.

He then glanced at the silent Sadistic Flame and Crystal Ice nonchalantly. "Well, we don’t have all day. Blow up the heads of these two already and head back so your damn mentor can leave me alone."

Kaizer glanced at the two women who wore pleading looks, the desperation and despair clear on their faces. They had never been so beholden to the whim of another person ever since they had awoken thanks to their A-grade abilities and the scarcity of S-grade espers to challenge them.

"No, wait! Your esper name is Overlord, right? Well, what does an overlord need? Naturally, it is some subordinates who can fulfill his tasks in an efficient manner, and we can do that for you!" Sadistic Flame suggested hurriedly, sweat forming on her brow.

"Oh?" Blaze muttered with interest, no longer interfering with how things were proceeding.

Meanwhile, Kaizer’s brows furrowed again. He was not too keen on the idea of building a faction by relying on his mental control abilities because if he branded them, they could be freed later on if they met someone like Carl, who was a powerful telepath.

That would also make his secrets beholden to the telepath who gained access to them, and if they served him as subordinates, it was likely that they would come into contact with some of his deeper secrets.

On top of that, they had their own network of friends, family, and contacts who would definitely take note of them suddenly spending all their time near an S-class esper still in the academy. Were those people supposed to pretend it was normal?

Finally, this was not an anime. Kaizer had no interest in being a hidden boss who lived in the shadows while a bunch of suspiciously beautiful and voluptuous women in skintight bodysuits did most of the work for him.

Putting everything aside, how would Rina react once he brought these two women, who were a decade older than him, to their villa? Even worse, if he controlled them and hid them from Rina, she would inevitably find out one day, and the consequences would not be worth the trouble.

Kaizer’s expression was as placid as usual, but the one who was truly stoic here, Crystal Ice, could seemingly read something from his body language to see that things weren’t going well for their survival.

"There is also the option to alter our memories and make us forget what we saw here today." Crystal Ice suggested slowly.

Kaizer paused. With his previously successful telepathic control of Lyle, it was theoretically possible for him to alter memories, but he was not sure of the consequences for himself as well as the two women.

Kaizer turned to Blaze. "Are there others? Is it normal?"

Despite being given no context, Blaze seemed to understand what Kaizer was asking as he chuckled playfully. "Yes, literally every other seasoned S-class esper. Even I have more than a few. Did you not see my bodyguards the other day? It’s very normal, the only strange thing would be that you are starting early and your targets are extremely high level."

Blaze grinned widely. "But it fits! The Overlord, the future strongest esper! If you don’t have the best of the best serving you, then that would rather be weird!"

Blaze glanced at Lyle by the side, who was silent. "In fact, I change my mind. You should blow up that loser’s head and keep these two young women beside you. A growing powerhouse like you should have a beautiful woman on each arm, hahaha!"

Crystal Ice turned her head to the side, while Sadistic Flame bit her lip, lowering her head. For the two proud women, the idea of being enslaved to save their lives and for Kaizer to use their strength to achieve his goals was not too problematic, but the idea of being enslaved to become his sexual playthings really left them feeling terrible.

"Actually, that cannot happen. Putting aside how offensive that is to the two of them, I already have someone I care about. The reason I’m hesitating is that contracting them might make her feel unhappy." Kaizer revealed.

Blaze’s laughter choked as he glanced at Kaizer with shock. "Wait, you have no women around you except your..."

Kaizer stared Blaze in the eyes, causing the man to finally shake for the first time, feeling that he had learned an explosive secret!

"We aren’t related by blood." Kaizer stated bluntly, causing Blaze to calm down and lose interest.

"Follow me to the academy, I will consult the Dean on what to do with you." Kaizer eventually decided after some thought.

The two women sighed with relief as Kaizer released his telekinetic hold, allowing them to stand on their own. Lyle got up and walked over to Kaizer with a calm expression, deciding that his current fate was not too bad.

A mere D-class esper with no real future prospects, working for an S-class esper destined to become the strongest was enough to put his name in the history books for espers.

Not to mention that Kaizer had this strange affection for non-espers. Lyle felt that Kaizer might be the herald of a great change in the esper world, especially with their relation to non-espers.

"As for you, there’s no need to follow me directly. Henceforth, you will be my man in the shadows, equipped to deal with things I need done that cannot see the light of day." Kaizer stated as he looked at Lyle seriously.

"You are dead to the world, reduced to ashes as you did not have the same physical strength as Barnes. Follow Blaze and get your identity set up, then find me in the Esper Academy." Kaizer instructed before nodding towards the two women to leave.

"Hey, hey kid, what do you mean by this? Since when did I become someone you could order around?" Blaze retorted with dissatisfaction written all over his face.

Kaizer calmly turned and opened the box the dean gave him, taking out the black-colored talisman. Upon seeing it, the pupils of Blaze constricted greatly, as he roared with a raised hand: "Brat, stop! Anything can be discussed, just don’t summon that heartless bastard here!"

The fact that Blaze knew what this talisman did made Kaizer understand that their relationship was not as negative as Blaze made it sound. He put the talisman in the box and turned to leave the sewer with the two women who glanced back at Blaze with hints of vengeance in their eyes.

Blaze scratched his sideburns with a troubled look. "Tsk, I spoke too rudely and offended two beauties. Knowing how vicious women like them can be, I have to quickly go and hide for a while."

"As for you..." Blaze turned to the silent Lyle.

He frowned but rolled his eyes. "Come with me and don’t say a word. As of today, you will become a member of the Supreme Force on paper, but don’t forget that the master you serve is that brat."

......

Kaizer surfaced with Sadistic Flame and Crystal Ice, who seemed emotional to see the sun again. When they arrived here and went underground, they were still two top-tier A-grade espers with countless suitors and countless opportunities for them to amass wealth as well as power.

When they went in, they were utterly confident that they would dominate, only being attracted here by the reward the Ancients offered, which was one of their rare in-house miraculous healing resources.

But now, their life and death were in Kaizer’s hands and their best outcome was to be tied to his boat.

Kaizer walked to the warehouse where he hid his car and lifted it out with telekinesis, bringing it in front of the group. Regardless of their own personal wealth—which wasn’t small, given the scope of jobs they could do—Sadistic Flame and Crystal Ice were still pleasantly surprised to see an authentic Dodge Viper ACR.

They also quickly noticed another problem.

"Your car is a two-seater, but there are three of us." Sadistic Flame pointed at herself and then the car.

Kaizer nodded and opened the door, sitting within without giving them a second look. "The two of you will share one seat, so decide who will sit on who."

Crystal Ice and Sadistic Flame shared a look, and a flash of battle intent appeared in their eyes.

No matter what, they couldn’t afford to be the one on top!
