Psychic Overlord-Chapter 149: Tousou (The Battle) 13
Chapter 149: Tousou (The Battle) 13
BOOM!
They clashed again, a blur of psychic blue and bronzed muscle in the center of the battlefield. Kaizer’s fist slammed into Tessa’s forearm, his blow deflected by raw bulk as she twisted and launched a spinning back-kick toward his ribs.
He blocked with a flick of telekinetic force, but the shock still made him slide back.
Tessa grinned, not slowing at all. "Alright, Kaizer... time for Super Tessa Two!"
Her body pulsed as a sound like cracking bones echoed, not from pain, but from her joints shifting, muscles expanding in perfect proportion.
Her physique sharpened, thighs like coiled steel and arms flexing with clean, unbloated strength.
Her eyes glowed faintly as her heart rate surged into overdrive while her speed, power, and stamina doubled instantly.
Kaizer’s eyebrows lifted.
’Not bad.’ He thought.
She blurred forward, this time so fast even his basic enhanced reflexes struggled to track. A hook to the jaw, an uppercut to the solar plexus, a sweep for his ankle were all launched almost simultaneously.
He dodged the first, parried the second, and barely evaded the third by boosting himself upward with a psychic pulse from his heel.
Even so, her follow-up elbow clipped his shoulder, launching him across the ring.
Kaizer twisted mid-air, landed low, and skidded backward, one boot tearing a groove in the ground.
His arms twitched as micro-tears were forming in his ligaments.
That was Super Tessa Two, who knew if there were more ’transformations’?
He needed more output.
Kaizer exhaled once, rolled his shoulders, and activated something new.
Two translucent figures blinked into place beside him, not clones of flesh, but mental projections formed through high-level telekinetic enlargement. They mirrored his posture exactly, constructed of folded psychic vectors compressed into humanoid shape.
Tessa blinked. "Wait... what the hell?!"
"They’re me and each one carries 40% of my output. It doesn’t reduce my main self’s power... just lets me hit you three times at once." Kaizer answered simply.
Tessa burst into wild laughter. "NOW THAT’S CHEATING FAIRLY!"
She charged in, and the real Kaizer met her head-on while the two constructs flanked her.
BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
It was pure chaos.
Tessa ducked and wove, taking out one projection with a double hammerfist, only for Kaizer’s real body to reappear behind her with a spinning roundhouse to the back.
She stumbled forward, right into the second projection’s palm strike, but she didn’t fall.
Instead, she grinned and pulled her leg back. "Oh yeah?! Guess what?! There’s a Super Tessa Three!!!"
Her aura exploded as this time, her body didn’t grow in any way, but rather compressed.
Every muscle line was more refined, every motion became sharper. She wasn’t bulkier, she was denser, like gravity had turned her skeleton into a weapon. Veins pulsed over her shoulders, and her back muscles flared into a V shape of impossible tension.
Then she practically vanished before Kaizer’s eyes.
This was not teleportation, just fast movement on ground.
Kaizer barely blocked in time.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Three punches in a second, two to the ribs and one to the temple. He staggered.
The projection on the right tried to counter, but Tessa casually backhanded it out of existence. The second shot in a flying knee, but Tessa caught it mid-air and drove the clone into the floor.
Kaizer leapt back, chest rising and falling, while his arms trembled from strain. Even his telekinetic vectors were becoming unstable.
He could easily win if he utilized telesthesia to create a domain and control Tessa. Even just using it to predict her actions would see him toy her to death.
But he didn’t anyway, because this was what a fight should be.
Pure strength versus controlled precision.
And it wasn’t over yet, not even close.
BOOOOM!
Tessa’s fist crashed into Kaizer’s reinforced forearm, the resulting shockwave blasting a crater into the arena floor beneath them. Dust and debris flared outward like a miniature explosion, rocking the stadium with an earthquake-like tremor.
They separated by less than a meter, both panting now, but neither stepping back.
Kaizer’s arms trembled faintly, his forearm bruised from the sheer force she generated in her latest transformation.
Kaizer exhaled and his body glowed faintly. He didn’t speak, but the glow spread into his limbs, strengthening every fiber of muscle and bone as his Telekinetic Enhancement reached its peak, crackling with blue energy.
Tessa smirked. "What, tired already Overlord? This battle has only just begun!!"
Her aura flared again as veins pulsed across her arms and shoulders, and a visible shimmer coated her bronze skin like armor. Her hair whipped back under invisible pressure and her muscles bulked further, denser than before.
"SUPER TESSA FOUR!"
A wave of power erupted from her frame, forcing Kaizer to shield his face. Her power was now raw, volcanic, not just physical but mythic in scale.
She wasn’t just strong, she was monstrous.
Like the colossal titan, Tessa’s physical form was generating so much heat it formed shockwaves and steam that billowed in the arena.
Kaizer’s eyes narrowed, any hit from her now could break bone and even crack his psychic barrier. He needed to adapt, or he’d lose without breaking the unspoken rules of this fight.
He took a stance, and a ripple of psychic vectors flowed around his body. Then... they split again.
FWHOOOM!
Three identical psychic duplicates burst out of him, each shimmering with telekinetic force, moving in perfect sync. This wasn’t the same as before, as Kaizer had injected these clones with nearly 80% of his full power, putting great strain on himself and digging out his psychic energy in huge waves.
Tessa blinked then smiled. "Oi, that’s even better than before! Just as well, haha!"
Kaizer didn’t reply as this required all his focus. All four of him shot forward, surrounding her in a spiral that collapsed in at once.
Tessa met them head on without any fear whatsoever.
BOOM—BOOM—BOOM—CRACK!
Fists and feet collided in mid-air like meteors crashing together. Kaizer and his clones worked in synchronized attacks, attacking high, low, and sideways, but Tessa responded with primal instincts, her fists flying, elbows parrying, knees crushing.
One clone vanished from a shoulder strike.
A second fell from a spinning backfist.
The third was grappled and smashed into the floor.
Kaizer himself leapt high, above her field of vision, descending with a punch loaded with sixfold compression.
Once again, he drive up on his usually repressed emotions to enhance his psychic power, causing the gushing waves to become a violent torrent of power.
"OVERDRIVE VECTOR!"
His fist met her raised palm.
KRA-KOOOOOOM!
The arena exploded into light and the stage cracked in a massive cross pattern as debris rained down like falling stars.
Smoke engulfed them and for a moment—just one heart-stopping second—no one could see a thing.
Then...
Tessa staggered forward, down on one knee, bleeding from her lip, breathing hard.
Kaizer stood across from her, chest heaving, his coat in tatters, one arm limp at his side.
Neither had the strength to raise another punch in the short term.
The silence broke only when Tessa grinned, flashed a thumbs-up, and fell back, laughing.
Kaizer exhaled, letting the blue light fade from his limbs.
Lysandra’s voice came in hoarse, but clear.
"Match 5... Kaizer Lunin wins."
And the crowd?
They lost their minds.
Silence.
For half a second after the final blow landed, the entire stadium was frozen.
No one moved, no one breathed.
Kaizer stood tall amidst the cratered battlefield, arms loose by his sides as telekinetic steam curled off his skin. Tessa lay semi-conscious in the shattered stone, a wide and toothy smile still plastered on her face, one hand raised weakly with a thumbs-up before falling limp.
Then the crowd exploded.
"HE DID IT!! KAIZER WINS!!"
The roar was deafening.
From the lowest student seats to the highest floating balconies, the stadium erupted into a unified scream of disbelief and exhilaration.
People were throwing their jackets, hugging strangers, crying, cheering, and shaking the railings with pure emotional overflow.
Ferron Blaze’s voice tore through the commentary speakers.
"THAT’S FIVE! KAIZER LUNIN JUST BEAT TESSA ASANO, THE TITANESS HERSELF! DID YOU SEE THAT? TELEKINETIC CLONES! SUPER TESSA 3! THAT WAS A GODDAMN DRAGON BALL FINALE!!"
Tae Ishi’s eyes were wide, glasses fogged, hand clutched to her chest. "I’m filing for retirement after this tournament. I’ve peaked as a commentator. I’ll never see anything this raw again."
The betting boards screamed to life, violently recalculating.

The terminals locked for recalibration, triggering wails from several betters who missed their window.
In the Supreme Force Box, Commander Durand let out a breathless whistle. "I think I just saw a high-speed close-quarters fight between martial arts and psychic engineering. What even is this kid?"
Commander Rae laughed. "I might offer him a post before this tournament’s over, or ask him to marry my niece."
President Voss simply nodded, a quiet grin forming on his lips. "So this is what it looks like... when two kinds of excellence collide."
In the Heir Pavilion, Rafael Azmadi was the first to clap.
"Fuck it. I don’t even care anymore. That was beautiful."
Ryu Kurosawa pushed up his glasses, eyes narrowed. "And that wasn’t even his real power. He used no elements, no telepathy. He was testing his base form... and still won."
Davion didn’t speak, he was sweating.
Eleanor, the puppet seemed to smile slightly.
In the special echelon side, Eleanor Seltzer had her arms crossed and eyes serious, finally understanding that she would have lost anyway without telepathy.
And Tyrron? He folded his arms and gave a single nod. "Boss passed the vibe check."
From the stands, chants began to rise.
"Overlord! Overlord! Overlord!"
Kaizer didn’t acknowledge them, not yet. He walked over to Tessa’s unconscious form, knelt down, and gently checked her pulse, finding that it was stable.
The lass was just tired from using her power too much in a short time, especially transforming upwards rapidly. Kaizer could even see that she was about to start snoring loudly and lifted her body with telekinesis towards Rina and Eleanor, her fellow sister apprentices.
Kaizer sighed and stood, back straight since the next match was already prepping.
And the Crown above shimmered again, brighter than before.
Kaizer Lunin, Overlord.
Five down.
Two to go.
