"Kali, do you know anything about this?" Lucas' voice was quivering.

The information the system was giving him shocked him again. It was common in games for extra characters to appear in the background, but this wasn't a game, these people looked real.

"I didn't know they couldn't talk to us." Kali's voice sounded as surprised as Lucas. ƒ𝑟𝐞𝗲𝘄𝙚𝚋𝑛o𝙫𝒆𝒍.𝒄𝘰𝓂

[System activated.]

[Go to Master Wen.]

[Goodbye.]

They both sighed at the same time, "Lucas, do you think the system is playing tricks on us?" Kali turned her face to him.

She was done buying apples, and the grun she'd given the vendor for three apples was more than enough in her eyes.

"Kali, give me an apple, please."

Kali knew he was hungry, but that he asked for an apple so suddenly surprised her. "Are you that hungry, Lucas?" Surprised, she raised an eyebrow.

"No, but please give me one." He replied in a gentle tone.

Without hesitation, Kali took an apple from the strange-looking plastic bag the vendor had given her and handed it to Lucas. She didn't want him to starve and pass out for another week, so it was a person's instinct to want to eat.

What Lucas did next surprised Kali again. He saw him pass the apple to Toburo. "Here, mate, I hope you like it too." He tapped him on the head as he held the apple in his hand making it more comfortable for it to chew.

"Lucas, no! Don't feed him apples!" Kali shouted at him and pushed the apple out of his hand.

"Why not?" He shook his head.

The next thing he felt was Toburo starting to race. His slow gait got out of control again and he started running at full speed through the village.

He was so fast that Lucas could only see illusions instead of sight. Everything was crashing down on him and he couldn't understand where he was being taken. "You stupid thing, stop!" he shouted in his mind, while he himself could no longer open his mouth for air.

Toburo stopped, as did Lucas's dignity. To the villagers, he probably looked like a cowboy riding a bull. It must've been a ridiculous action.

"You stupid fuxk!" He roared at him and hit him on the head.

*Port* *Port*

Toburo began to move like a rabid dog now, looking restless and as if something was bothering him at the moment.

He lifted his two hind legs and leapt into the air, swinging Lucas' body forward. Lucas couldn't hold gravity and his body was pulled forward, falling to the ground.

Toburo pulled his legs back up as if nothing had happened and looked at Lucas. "You filthy scoundrel!" Lucas yelled at this creature.

He was still lying on the ground, not moving, looking up at the bright blue sky. The sky was without a single cloud, which made it even more sinister than it usually was.

He closed his eyes and breathed in more air, it was a fresh scent of the purple trees that he'd never seen before. Everything was new to him, this place, the people, the animals and the monsters. If he were in the human world, he'd never encounter such things in his real life.

He didn't leave his house very often to enjoy nature, so this little feeling was something he needed, a sense of relaxation. Not thinking about bills, stress and school.

Not worrying about his dual personality and how he should act in front of a girl, that was something he wished for right now.

He took a deep breath and felt a dark shadow blocking his sunny vision. Lucas slowly opened his eyes and saw a dark, brown, smelly thing land on his face.

The Toburo decided to take a shit on Lucas's face. They were the kind of creatures that can be poisoned very quickly, but they also clean their bodies and digest fast.

Shitting on Lucas' face was a little something he did to get back at him for feeding him an apple.

"You fucker!" Lucas got right up off the ground and began to wipe away the incest.

"Disgusting piece of shit!" He roared. "Yeeehg!" He wiped his face again.

Lucas didn't even notice that his fingers were less sensitive than before.

"I see Toburo finally respects you." An old voice emerged from nowhere.

It was the same little man from before who'd taken Kalaini away.

"Respect? You call that respect?" Lucas' voice sounded more hurt than offended at that moment.

He felt humiliated by this creature. He wanted nothing more than to be nice to him now, because he was his legs few minutes ago.

"You didn't even realise you could stand now." The man nodded his head and looked at his bare feet.

That wasn't Luca's priority at the moment, he just wanted to wipe his face so it would stop stinking before Kali showed up.

"I don't care about my legs, old man, look what he did to me." Luca's voice was trembling now.

His nostrils flared as he looked at the old man.

"Don't look at me like that, kid, I'm not your enemy." The man spoke slowly.

"Oh yes, who's it then? What's this place? What're these strange looking people with missing parts of their faces?" He became agitated.

He needed answers now. He'd to get out of here and take Kali with him and never come back. There was a strong possibility that Kali wouldn't even talk to him when they got back, if they managed to get back at all.

Lucas doubted his return to his world, since Kalaini said it was as good as impossible to leave this place.

The man ignored Lucas' questions and slowly sat down on the very bright green grass.

"Would you join me?" He looked at Lucas.

It was the only way he could get the answers he was looking for, he had to accept his offer to sit down.

Lucas carefully walked on his feet to the old man, slowly bending forward and flexing his knees, his bottom reaching the floor.

It was quite hard to sit on, it felt like they were sitting on old and hard stones, his bottom hurt too.

"You know what the extras are in every story?" The old man looked straight ahead, not looking at Lucas. It looked like he was deep in thought with himself.

Lucas was pretty smart and understood some things pretty quickly.

"Yes, they are there to complete any story, like a missing piece to any protagonist in a story." Replied Lucas and heaved a long sigh, then looked at the old man, who seemed to have drifted off.

"So you know why these villagers are here?" The old man asked him again.

"To fulfil someone's story?" Lucas asked him in a curious tone. He was curious now, he wanted to know where the old man was going with his statements.

"Not anyone's story, but yours, Izek."
