Chapter 797: Chapter 795: Tying You To Keep Me Company(3)_1

Clutching the receiver, Camila Ruiz’s eyes darted up, her urgency unmistakably seeping through.

"Who are you?"

Although Camila was desperate for news about Jimmy Horne, her rationality wasn’t entirely lost, and she asked in a low voice.

"Don’t ask who we are. You have two minutes. If you don’t come out, then you’ll lose the chance to hear about Jimmy Horne. Also, don’t tell anyone, or you won’t get the information you want." After speaking, the other party hung up the phone.

"Camila, who was that? Was it Brother Ivan?" Rachel Bailey came out of the kitchen. Ten years hadn’t left much of a mark on Rachel Bailey; she looked more like Camila Ruiz’s older sister.

"No," Camila replied composedly, "Wrong number."

Rachel Bailey didn’t ask any further.

Camila put down the receiver, turned, and sat back on the sofa, reaching for an apple from the coffee table and bringing it to her mouth.

Her two younger brothers had already gone upstairs to do their homework in the Study Room. As soon as their father got home, he would be inseparable from their mother, stealing kisses.

Camila ate her apple, watching Rachel Bailey. The moment Rachel Bailey turned back to the kitchen, seemingly unconcerned, Camila quickly stood up and walked briskly out of the Main House.

The nanny didn’t pay too much attention to her either.

A fifteen-year-old girl, after all, would have her own space.

She walked out of the villa carefully and quickly, only to see a black sedan, its license plate covered with paper, obscuring the number.

Whose car? Camila wondered.

Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced the back of her neck.

Before her confusion could be resolved, she was knocked unconscious from behind.

Two men in black quickly lifted her into the car and shut the door. The sedan then sped off like an arrow, vanishing from the front of the villa’s gate. After leaving the villa, the man in black who was driving stopped the car. He quickly got out, tore off the paper covering the license plate, and then drove off once again.

By the time Hansen Ruiz realized his daughter was missing, a private jet had already whisked the still-unconscious Camila away. She was transported like cargo, heading into unknown skies and hastily disappearing across Syrena’s borders.

"Hansen Ruiz, save Camila! She must have been kidnapped! Save her; you must save her..." When Rachel Bailey learned of her daughter’s disappearance, she fainted on the spot. She only regained consciousness when Hansen Ruiz pinched her philtrum. She immediately began to cry, clinging tightly to Hansen Ruiz’s hand.

Hansen Ruiz held his wife in his arms, also frantic and furious. Who was so audacious as to kidnap Hansen Ruiz’s daughter? Were they tired of living?

"Rachel, don’t worry. I will definitely save Camila," Hansen Ruiz said, pulling out his phone and immediately making calls, asking his contacts to help find his daughter.

To be kidnapped right from his doorstep—the culprits’ audacity was extraordinary.

The twins circled their parents, equally anxious. Although they normally protected their sister, they were only ten years old and couldn’t be of any help.

"Rachel."

The urgent sound of an approaching car was heard, followed by Julia Bluen’s anxious calls.

After his daughter’s disappearance, Hansen Ruiz’s first phone call had been to the Horne Family, asking Glades Horne to help find his daughter.

He also reviewed the surveillance video from the front of his house. It showed his daughter being knocked unconscious and carried into a black sedan by a man in black. The man was clearly a trained martial artist with decent skills. What particularly angered him was that the kidnapper had covered the license plate. This made it impossible to see the plate number and added difficulty to the car search.

No matter how difficult, he was determined to rescue his precious daughter.

While he had his men searching for his daughter, he also waited for the kidnapper’s call.

Was it for revenge or for money? He would wait.

He had also filed a police report.

When Glades Horne and his wife heard that Camila Ruiz had been kidnapped right outside her own home, they were shocked. They were astonished at the kidnapper’s audacity. Everyone knew Hansen Ruiz adored his daughter. Furthermore, Camila was the beloved goddaughter of Julia Bluen, the matriarch of the Horne Family. To harm a single hair on Camila’s head meant making enemies of both the Ruiz and Horne Families—a path leading to certain destruction.

"Rachel." Julia Bluen walked in. Her face, still stunningly beautiful, was etched with deep worry. Seeing her friend crying so heartbreakingly, Julia’s own heart clenched, and her eyes reddened.

Following her into the room were Glades Horne and Ivan Horne.

Fifteen-year-old Ivan Horne stood tall, already 173 centimeters. Given his youth, the adults were certain he would eventually reach at least 180 centimeters.

"Brother Ivan." The twins immediately went to greet Ivan Horne.

Ivan Horne walked to one side, signaling the twins to follow him.

Turning, his handsome face was a picture of composure, incongruous with his age. His dark eyes flashed coldly as he looked down at the twins. His voice, which was in the process of changing, was characteristically deep as he asked, "What happened?" Camila is no fool. How could she have been so easily abducted right outside her own home?

Christopher Ruiz replied, "The nanny said my sister received a phone call and then went outside. After that, she disappeared."

Ivan Horne’s brow furrowed immediately. Camila got a call and just went out? Was it an acquaintance? Impossible. An acquaintance wouldn’t dare harm a hair on her head. So, who was it? What did they say on the phone? Whatever made Camila leave immediately must have been something she desperately wanted to know. The news Camila was most desperate for was about her cousin, Jimmy Horne. Could someone have used this to lure her out and kidnap her?

Ivan Horne approached his father and shared his speculation.

After hearing his son’s theory, Glades Horne and Hansen Ruiz exchanged a glance, finding Ivan Horne’s conjecture to be quite plausible.

Very few people knew how important Jimmy Horne was to Camila, and those who did were all members of the Horne and Ruiz Families. Surely it couldn’t have been an inside job, could it?

Regardless of the clues or theories, Glades Horne and Hansen Ruiz didn’t want to overlook anything. They ordered a thorough investigation. Even if it turned out to be an inside job, they would not let it go lightly.

Rachel Bailey kept crying, with Julia Bluen by her side, constantly comforting her. Julia Bluen was worried herself and wanted to cry as well.

She had always wanted a daughter, but unfortunately, both her children were sons. Yearning for a daughter and conscious of her advancing age, she didn’t want to risk a late-in-life pregnancy and had decided against having a third child. Instead, she treated her goddaughter, Camila Ruiz, as her own, cherishing her dearly. Now that her goddaughter was missing, and she didn’t know if the kidnappers would harm her, how could Julia not be distraught and worried?

The police officers arrived soon after.

In addition to reviewing the surveillance footage, they couldn’t find any other leads.

Everyone was searching for Camila, searching for the car, and consumed by worry.
