Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 599 Double Happiness Arrives (2)_1
After a long pause, he finally reached out, tore the painting from the easel, ripped it, tore it to shreds, and tossed it into the trash can.
With a step, he strode out of the studio.
Deon Myers was waiting for him in the corridor outside the studio.
"Young Master."
"What is it?"
"The company in T City, Syrena, has been preparing in secret. Our subordinates are requesting instructions: what should the company be named when it launches?"
Deon Myers spoke cautiously, having sensitively perceived that the Young Master was in an exceptionally foul mood.
He had noticed that every time the Young Master emerged from that room, his mood was terrible.
"Black Emperor Group," Noah Reyes stated casually.
Black Emperor Group? Deon Myers pondered for a moment. We're just starting out. Even with the Young Master's plan, which we're following, launching as a 'Group' right away might attract too much attention and make us a target. But just as he was about to voice his concern, he blinked, and Noah Reyes had vanished.
"Young Master, Young Master..." Deon Myers called out urgently, rushing down the stairs.
Regarding Rachel's situation, Julia Bluen later heeded Glades Horne's reassurance and decided not to interfere further. She believed that after her hint, Hansen Ruiz would definitely investigate the cause. Knowing how much Hansen Ruiz cared for Rachel, she was confident he would protect her well. As Rachel's friend, Julia felt she could finally relax and continue focusing on her pregnancy.
But... what kind of feeling was it, to reach your due date, even pass it, and the baby still hadn't arrived? Julia Bluen found it was a state of profound restlessness and unease.
She had reached her due date, even surpassed it, yet there were no signs of the baby wanting to emerge.
She was worried, terrified that something might happen to the baby, and feared her condition was abnormal. During her prenatal check-ups, the doctor had said everything was still considered normal. However, they also advised that if there were still no signs of labor by forty-two weeks, she should be hospitalized to induce labor or undergo a direct Cesarean section to deliver the baby.
The July weather was so oppressive that people fantasized about hiding in a refrigerator to cool down.
Even at three in the afternoon, sitting under the shade of the trees offered little respite from the heat. Fortunately, a slight breeze provided some relief from the oppressive heatwave.
"Sister, I'm so worried," Julia Bluen said, her hand resting on her swollen belly as she sat with Ruby Bluen under the shade of the trees. Her delicate face was clouded with anxiety. "After today, I'll be exactly forty-two weeks pregnant, and there's still not a single sign."
"Why don't you go to the hospital and get induced?" Ruby Bluen replied, her own face etched with concern. "Waiting like this isn't a solution. Mom called before my lunch break. She said if it's delayed too long, the amniotic fluid will decrease, and that's not good for the baby."
It wasn't just Ruby Bluen; both the Bluen and Horne families were deeply worried.
Most women give birth between thirty-eight and forty weeks of pregnancy. Julia, however, had reached forty-two weeks with no signs of labor. How could everyone not be anxious?
She now went to the hospital for a check-up every day to ensure the fetus was still okay.
Before reaching forty-two weeks, her doctor had assured her after check-ups that everything was normal and she could wait a bit longer. Today, however, at her prenatal check-up, while the doctor reiterated that all was still normal, they began to suggest immediate hospitalization. The options presented were to induce labor or proceed with a Cesarean section. Doctor Lei also advised that she should be hospitalized without further delay, as it might be impossible to wait for natural labor pains to begin.
Julia nodded.
"Sisters-in-law, you're here! It's terribly hot outside; why don't you sit inside?" Adele Horne called out as she emerged from the house and walked towards the two sisters. Partway there, she suddenly stopped, her expression shifting to one of unease. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Adele, what's wrong?" Seeing Adele Horne stop so abruptly, Julia and Ruby immediately asked with concern. They both stood up from under the trees. Ruby, not being pregnant, quickly reached Adele's side in a few steps, steadying her as she asked again, worriedly. Julia, with her large belly, couldn't move as fast.
"Sister!" Julia cried out. After taking only a few more steps, she too stopped abruptly. Her face turned a shade paler, and she clutched her belly; a sharp pain had shot through her.
"Sister-in-law, my stomach hurts!" Adele Horne exclaimed, her face contorted in a frown, her right hand also clutching her belly.
She was thirty-eight weeks pregnant, also near her time to give birth.
Hearing Adele say her stomach hurt, Ruby immediately glanced at Adele's belly and asked anxiously, "Adele, are you... are you going into labor? Isn't your due date still almost ten days away?"
"I don't know, Sister-in-law! It really, really hurts! It's coming in waves..." Adele Horne had never experienced much pain before. Now, as her stomach suddenly began to ache intensely, her face wrinkled even more.
Although Ruby Bluen had been married for over half a year, she wasn't yet pregnant and had no experience with motherhood. Hearing Adele's cries of pain, she instantly became flustered.
"Quick! I—I'll help you into the house! No, to the car! We need to go to the hospital immediately! Oh, no, I have to tell Grandma and the others..." Ruby Bluen stammered, completely at a loss as to what to do next.
"Sister... my stomach hurts too," Julia gasped, also hugging her belly as she walked with difficulty towards Adele. "That little rascal... I was just saying he wasn't making a move, and now he is..."
Those two little rascals! They're really determined to make an entrance together! My baby is the truly stubborn one, insisting on staying put until forty-two weeks before deigning to appear. Adele's, on the other hand, decided to arrive early. Though thirty-eight weeks is full term, the two little buns were originally due only about a month apart. Now, with one delayed and the other premature, they've ended up coinciding.
"Good heavens, you two! Somebody, help! Quick, someone! Help! This is an emergency!" Ruby Bluen was now utterly panicked. Forgetting everything else, she began to scream at the top of her lungs.
Her cries immediately shattered the afternoon quiet of the Horne Family residence.
Glades Horne was the first to burst out of the house.
"Glades, quickly! Julia says her stomach hurts! Take her to the hospital! Her stomach hurts; the baby's coming!" The moment Ruby Bluen saw Glades Horne, she blurted out, as if he were a savior.
"Julia!"
Glades had already been planning to take Julia to the hospital for admission. Julia had mentioned wanting to take a short walk after her nap before they left, and since Ruby was with her, Glades had only been sitting in the living room for a few minutes. He hadn't expected Julia's labor to start so suddenly.
