Private Marriage, Secret Love-Chapter 62: Watch Out, or I’ll Eat You
Raina Reddington hurriedly covered her eyes, but Seth Sinclair was perfectly calm. He’d seen it all before.
Annabelle Spencer swallowed hard, then turned to see Raina Reddington’s reaction. Exasperated, she pulled Raina’s hands away from her face.
"Your husband’s got some serious moves!"
Ethan Lancaster was dressed in classic black and white. Tall and lean with a well-defined physique, he swayed his hips while flipping up the cuffs of his sleeves. Under the crowd’s watchful gaze, what should have been a casual move was magnified, becoming utterly captivating.
Raina Reddington watched as he revealed a stretch of his bronze arm. He then brought a hand to his neck, his fingers undoing two buttons. With his sweeping dance moves, his collarbones went from being barely visible to brazenly exposed.
Ethan Lancaster’s fingers continued to slide down. Raina Reddington was so nervous she felt like slamming the table and jumping to her feet. ’Has he gone mad!’
’Is he going to undo another button? One more and there’ll be nothing left to the imagination!’
Raina Reddington frantically pointed at Seth Sinclair. "You... you have to get a hold of him."
Seth Sinclair looked completely innocent, spreading his hands. "You’re Mrs. Lancaster. You’re the one with the most authority to control him here."
"You’re just going to watch him act this wild?"
"He’s a little wild, I’ll admit, but Fourth Master knows his limits."
Seeing Annabelle Spencer staring intently at the stage, Raina Reddington unhesitatingly reached out and covered her eyes. Annabelle wailed, "You’re just burying your head in the sand! So many other women are watching."
Ethan Lancaster raised his hand and snapped his fingers, and circles of people crowded around the edge of the stage. Raina Reddington blushed without realizing it; she had to admit the man had charisma. He was bold and brilliant, a perfect mix of blatant flirtation and sly charm. He pulled the hem of his shirt from his trousers, and someone in the crowd began to chant, "Strip! Strip! Strip!"
Raina Reddington had always followed the rules. Other than Ethan Lancaster, the people she interacted with most were just like her.
She didn’t know that some corners of the world were dangerous, yet also full of temptation.
Just like Ethan Lancaster at that moment, shining brightly on the stage. As she stood below watching him, her initial sense of shame faded. Instead, she felt that he lived a life of abandon, unbound by rules and conventions.
When Ethan Lancaster came off the stage, he was drenched in sweat. A beautiful woman tried to cozy up to him, but he held up a hand to stop her. A flirtatious glint shimmered in his eyes, but he quickly concealed it.
He returned to his table, and as soon as he sat down, he grabbed a bottle and took a drink. Raina Reddington noticed two women had followed him.
"Hey, handsome, how about buying us a drink?"
Ethan Lancaster pressed his thin lips together, their color turning a vivid red, holding an allure that tempted one to sin. His fingers tapped twice on the bottle he was holding. Just as he was about to speak, Raina Reddington’s cold voice cut in.
"You can’t."
The woman glanced at Raina Reddington, completely dismissing her. "Handsome, you have plenty of drinks here."
"We paid for those." ’These people have some nerve,’ Raina Reddington thought. ’We’re in a bar, don’t they have their own money or something?’ "If you want a drink," she said, "call a waiter to get you one."
Hearing this, the woman took a provocative step forward, trying to get to Ethan Lancaster, but Seth Sinclair blocked her.
"It’s just one drink, handsome. I’m not asking for *you*."
To be so brazen with her words... In this day and age, men really needed to protect themselves when they went out.
The woman casually picked up a bottle. "Thanks."
Raina Reddington snatched it back and took two swigs from the bottle. The woman shrugged. "No fun at all."
The two women turned and left. Raina Reddington sat back down on the sofa, and Annabelle Spencer clinked her glass against the bottle. "This stuff is pretty good."
It was true; the more she drank, the more she wanted. Raina Reddington rarely had opportunities to drink and hadn’t touched a drop back in school. She had no idea just how low her tolerance was.
Ethan Lancaster picked up another bottle and handed it to her. "Drink this one."
"If Mom and Dad found out you brought me to a place like this, don’t you think they’d break your legs?"
"If you don’t tell and I don’t tell, how would they find out?" Ethan Lancaster didn’t usually go to small bars; he wouldn’t set foot in any place that wasn’t a high-end luxury club. He only did it because he wanted her to completely let loose.
After all, the atmosphere here wasn’t something you could get at Aristor Hall.
"Don’t make me drink anymore."
"You’ve only had a few sips."
Raina Reddington was already feeling dizzy. "If I get drunk, you’re going to be in big trouble."
"You won’t get drunk. This stuff is so low-alcohol it barely counts as booze," Ethan Lancaster said with certainty. But it wasn’t long before he had to eat his words.
Raina Reddington felt perfectly clear-headed, but she was dizzy. She leaned to the side, her head coming to rest on Ethan Lancaster’s shoulder.
He was in the middle of a conversation with Seth Sinclair when he felt a weight on his shoulder. He looked down at Raina Reddington and saw two red splotches blooming on her cheeks.
’She’s much better after a few drinks,’ he thought. ’Obedient, and even gentle.’
Just as Ethan Lancaster was having this thought, he saw Raina Reddington’s hand reach for his collar. The two buttons he’d undone were still open, and with a single tug from her, his entire chest was exposed.
Ethan Lancaster hurriedly covered himself. "What are you doing?"
To his surprise, this only egged her on. With a SMACK, Raina Reddington knocked his hand away. "What are you doing! A grown man being so fussy. Can’t I just look?"
Annabelle Spencer nervously swallowed her drink. "Raina?"
Raina Reddington tugged his collar open again and tried to burrow her head into Ethan Lancaster’s shirt. Seth Sinclair awkwardly looked away.
"Don’t pretend to be drunk," Ethan Lancaster said, pushing at her. "Get up."
"I smell meat."
Annabelle Spencer had a sneaking suspicion Raina was talking dirty, but she couldn’t prove it.
Raina Reddington gripped Ethan Lancaster’s collar with both hands, refusing to let go. He had no choice but to wrap an arm around her waist and whisper in her ear, "If you don’t let go, I’ll devour you right here and now."
’She’s so easily embarrassed; a threat like that is sure to work.’
Raina Reddington’s hands loosened. A corner of Ethan Lancaster’s mouth curled up. ’Just as I thought,’ he mused, ’I have her completely wrapped around my little finger.’ But before the smug look could fully form on his face, he saw Raina Reddington shoot to her feet.
She spun around to face the stage, pointed directly at the dancing DJ, and shouted, "Strip! Strip! Strip it all off!"
Ethan Lancaster cursed under his breath, "Fuck!" He jumped up, pulled Raina Reddington back, and clamped a hand over her mouth. "Shh!"
’Shut up, just shut up! My sterling reputation is about to be ruined tonight!’
Raina Reddington pried his hand away. "Strip naked! It’s time for meat!"
Her voice was sharp and loud. Ethan Lancaster slapped his hand back over her mouth as several people turned to look. He dragged Raina Reddington back down onto the sofa.
"Why is she such a mess when she drinks?"
Annabelle Spencer was stunned too. She shook her head. "I have no idea. I’ve never seen her act like this."
Ethan Lancaster had no choice but to try and coax her. "Alright, alright, no more drinking. How about we go home now, okay?"
"Not going home." Raina Reddington’s refusal was blunt. "Baby doesn’t want to go home."
’Oh, for fuck’s sake.’
Ethan Lancaster nearly spat up blood.
