Chapter 26: The Event of Hunting the Lord Inferno (End) Part IV
“Damn it! Why so much smoke?!” The irritated voice said aloud. His hands were waving the smoke out of his face. The smoke started to fade away, revealing the familiar tall figure who just survived the explosion a while ago, without any scratches. Plus, the wings of the fire demon were still blazing on his back, looking even more aggressive than before.

Wisana smiled so widely as he saw the flame’s energy was excessively increased.
“Now I’ll be able to fly for a long time. Recharging them like this worked so well,” he said as he was having a hard time finding the boss again since everything looked so tiny up here. However, Wisana was sure that Lord Inferno was still held tightly by Maysa's chain, but it would not be long now.
“That’s not good. I need to be hurried.” He thought before bringing out two bottles of potion from his inventory window. The first one was the Magtiria potion to increase 100% of attack points, and the other one was berserk potion to decrease the cooldown by 60/1.
Wisana did not hesitate to pull out the corks and drank the two potions up at once.
“Well, the tastes aren’t bad. One is like pineapple, and the other’s just like orange juice.” Suddenly, Wisana felt like he gained back strength, his body lightening.
“Alright, Next...” He brought another item out of the inventory. It was one of the water element crystals that Maysa insisted him to carry one thousand of them. He grabbed it tightly in one hand and the other supported it to be still. Wisana took a deep breath before whispering.
“Pierce charge.” Right after he finished, the magic crystal in his hands suddenly felt so heavy that he needed to draw back, so he did not fall on his face. The blue and white light was shining through his fingers. Then, the light swirled up to form a piece of energy the size of a ping pong ball in between his hands.
“So, this is a starter size, huh?” Wisana forced out a wry smile, thinking that this skill seemed to cause him quite a burden.
He could see why Maysa told him to use it only for emergencies.
The skill that would bring them victory!
“Listen, Wisana. This skill is called pierce charge. It’s the skill that charges and gathers your magic in one spot then attacks. But in your case that you’re not able to release your magic in any elements, yet. So, you need the crystals to be the substitute for your magic.
The image of Maysa popped up in his mind. She was telling him this during their meeting in the abandoned building, not forgetting to reiterate that it was an A-ranked skill that was not earned so easily.
“And how long does it take to charge the magic power?” He asked, sounding tense.
“That depends on you. Most people take just a couple of minutes to charge. However, in the case of the first time using it and the player’s levels are low, I'd suggest you top up your abilities with this berserk potion.
“Berserk potion?”
“Yeah, it’s a potion that decreases the cooldown and the cast points of your skills by 60/1, meaning that it shortens the time period from a minute to a second. And the skill’s damage will be increased by the crystal, too.”
“Whoa, it’s that useful?!”
“Not just that. Think about it, normally the skill’s damage depends on how long it’s charged. For example, if you charge it for 2 minutes, the damage will be doubled, too. So, now I'll give you a berserk potion to shorten the time and three minutes to charge. Let's do simple math, how many minutes it will be, compared to the normal charging?”
“...180 minutes!”
“Correct. I'm wondering how extreme the damage will be. And will the boss with 15 million HP still be able to stand after he takes your attack with multiple 180 times damage!”
“...But it’s risky.”
“It is, so I have to put this in plan B, just in case of an unexpected event.”
And the recap ended there.
The ball of magic energy in Wisana’s hand rapidly expanded from a ping pong ball to a football already!
“It’s not even thirty seconds, yet. It's growing so fast,” Wisana spoke through gritted teeth, his face creasing. Because not only did its size get bigger, but it also got heavier for him. So, the tall one had to hold up the glowing ball over his head with almost all his strength now.
“Rainy shot!”
On the ground, the violent loud bang and boom could be heard continuously from the battle. The beam shooting from Maysa’s guns separated into dozens of shots, going straight through the nova minions, making many of them explode to dust.
“Warunya, do you have some magic potion?! I'm using up mine on the skills.”
“Here you go!” The supporter immediately tossed a bottle of light blue potion to Maysa. She caught it before drinking it up, throwing the bottle away, ready to attack again.
“Rainy shot!”
Multiple beams were shot to destroy some of the nova minions in the sky. However, no matter how many she had killed, they still increased their number with a shocking speed. Until now, there were more than 80 of them, flying to attack the girls, keeping Maysa busy with pulling the triggers!
“The more we kill, the more they come out,” Warunya said softly, almost sounding like a whisper.
“What should we do, then? Just wait to get killed?!” Maysa replied harshly. She glanced to check on Lord Inferno and found that it had already broken some parts of the chain loose. A hint of stress suddenly appeared on her oval face.
“The chain wouldn’t hold longer than... two minutes. How’s that guy doing with the charging now?”
“Maysa, can’t you just shoot another lock shot at Lord Inferno?” Hearing the question, the pair of grey eyes turned to catch Warunya's for a moment, her lips pressing together tightly.
“No, I can’t. The shot has a 30-minute cooldown, but I do have something else to help that guy.”
“Could you do it now?”
“Not until the Inferno breaks loose. The skill can’t be stacked with the other!”
“Well, I’m going to cover you. Save your bullets for when the time comes.” Her words kind of made the gunner who was continuously firing realize.
That was true, but what should she do when the enemies were coming at them in a parade like this since the only thing she could do was keep shooting!
Except...?
“You also have a defense skill?” Maysa asked eventually.
“Yes, I do,” Warunya answered, drawing up a smile then she brought out a black HP potion.
Potion Barrier
The second that the empty potion bottle disappeared in Warunya’s hand, there appeared a dense dorm, covering them both.
“This shield can protect us from all kinds of attacks. And its time period depends on the type of HP potion. I just used the black one, so it probably holds for 3 minutes.”
BOOM!!
As she spoke, a nova crashed on the shield, the explosion making it quake. However, the girls did not get any harm from it, so it was confirmed that the shield was durable just like the owner said.
“Excellent, Warunya.” She smiled only for a few seconds before it faded away as she saw Lord Inferno breaking another chain. The feral growl came shortly after. The bloody red eyes were flashing, looking up in the sky as if it already knew that the sworn enemy was building the final attack there.
“That’s not good. He knew that the guy’s still alive.”
“Then why doesn’t he send these fire balls to get Vincent?”
“Because he knows that there’s no use, so he chooses to get us first. Not only that he can keep us out, but he will be able to fight Vincent one on one, just like how he likes it. Damn, the boss’s too smart!”
The gun girl explained, then clenched her jaw tightly. Her big eyes swept across the fire balls in front of them, her face showing frustration.
Right now, the only thing the girls could do was to stall for some time, because if Wisana lost, they would not survive a hundred of these fire balls, either.
The last factor of their victory had to be Wisana’s final attack only!
GRRROWL!!!
Finally, the last chain was broken apart and Lord Inferno let out a loud growl to celebrate as if it had been waiting for this moment for a long time. The massive dragon’s wings were spread out with a loud, short boof.
“He’s broken loose.” Maysa cried. “Crap. It's not even two minutes, yet.” She finished as she pointed the guns at the gigantic monster again.
This was the best she could do now, hoping it could give Wisana some more time!
Slow Shot!
Slow Shot *a special assault bullet that lowers 50% of the enemy’s movement speed and senses!
The barrels were glowing brightly again as the target started flapping its wings, ready to fly. With this massive figure, there was no way Maysa would miss it. She thought as she pulled the trigger quickly.
BANG!!
The red-light beam was shot out with a kickback force that got that shooter staggered. The bullet went straight to the enemy sharply, but it missed the target unexpectedly! A nova flew in to take all the damage for Lord Inferno!
“Damn it!” Maysa cursed, reloading the bullet nervously.
“Hurry up, Maysa!”
“I am!” The one who was always calm bawled out. Her shaking hands were trying to fill the bullets in and attack again, but it was too late. The enormous figure of the monster was already soaring up into the sky. The pair of grey eyes were staring after it, worrying about another one up there.
The only thing she could do was just pray for him now.
“Don’t you dare lose!!!”
----------------
“It is coming, master!” Jinnie’s alarm made Wisana press his lips together tightly.
“Sh*t. Couldn’t they just hold him for just two more minutes?” He cursed, feeling hotheaded as he looked up at the magic ball above him.
“Well, I guess it has to be ready anyway now.” He chuckled softly with a wry smile as the ball of magic power that he had been charging, became so frighteningly huge.
Yup, ...it started from a ping pong ball to a football.
And now here it was, a freaking balloon!!
The giant ball of magic’s weight was so heavy that it got Wisana shaking while he was holding it up. The pair of amber eyes caught his true enemy flying at him with the intense energy of fire swirling in its mouth. Then, Wisana frowned.
Damn. It was about to shoot the blaze again. What should he do? He could not deactivate the wings to absorb the damage, either. Even though that could make him survive the blaze, he would pathetically knock his head and die on the ground anyway.
This wicked monster did not use this skill when they fought a while ago, but it wanted to use it now?!
“Ten seconds until the impact.”
“Got it.” Wisana gritted his teeth, feeling sick in his stomach. The kind of excitement that he could not have in the real world made him smile without even realizing it. This was the last chance. If he was burnt here, everything would become wasted. But if he could evade that ultimate skill, the savage dragon would surely be put in the ground, too!
This thought excited him so much that his muscles were trembling.
“It is now in the range of attack.”
The AI signaled, and then he took a deep breath.
“Take this, you damn demonic skink!” After that he threw something to the back, using that as a base for long jump skill to launch forward!
“Release the pierce charge and wings of the fire demon to the max!!!”
Suddenly, Wisana’s body shone so brightly. The wings were blazing violently when the energy was released for him to fly at 600 km per hour.
Wisana gritted his teeth. His brain started to feel tingling like he did previously again.
His personal instinct was now in fully active mode!
When they reached the point where they were about to crash into each other, the time seemed to get slower. His eyes saw the boss monster open its mouth wide, intending to burn him down with the hell blaze in slow motion. However, it was kind of strange that Wisana did not feel scared this time. Instead, his smooth face had a cunning smile on it now.
“I’m a new player, but I’m not stupid you know, you lord of skink!!” The annoying voice said before a blindingly bright beam shone up in the next second. The light hit directly into the blood-red eyes of the monster, making Lord Inferno groan in pain.
The flash bomb!
Even though it was a highly intelligent monster, it was still not enough to predict Wisana’s clever moves that the man spent two minutes and all his brain cells to plan.
It was a successful test of his luck, because now that the monster was temporarily blind and missed the attack on him, leaving the man flying safe and sound!
“Goodbye, my lord.”
Those were the last words before the massive magic ball was shot and hit the body of the demon of fire, making it screech out of pain. But Wisana had not finished. He was still rushing forward, blazing up the flame wings at the same time, pulling the monster down with him at a speed of 600 kilometers per hour. He hurled it to the ground with a loud crashing noise.
BOOM!!!!
125,000,000!!! <Critical>
