Chapter 393: Purpose of his being.

For a moment, silence settled between them... of course it did, because it made no fucking sense. No, it was more of a suicide plan than what Madur himself had just said to William leaving people alone in the countryside, letting them die, and only helping those in the cities.

But what William had just said went even beyond that. Just thinking about it... about killing James Bellini, the man around whom everything they had built revolved, the one who connected all the pieces together, the one who kept the balance intact even if that balance was built on blood, lies, and corruption.

And that was exactly why Madur couldn’t take it seriously at first. It felt too extreme, too reckless, like something no rational person would ever actually follow through on.

"Whoa, what a grand plan. Do you think he is stupid?"

"Does it even matter?" William asked in a serious tone."His whole purpose is to die, that is why we built everything around him, to show the world that a young man can reach this level, but the government will always hunt him down, that is his role in all of this. We will break him, we will kill his mother, his daughter, we will kill everyone around him, and in the end, when he loses his mind, people will see how dangerous he is, they will see that he is not one of them, that he destroys everything in his path." William looked straight at Madur, his expression empty. "And that is when they will choose us! That is the whole point of his being, of his role!"

Silence filled the room again as Madur slowly started realizing that William truly believed what he had just said, that this was not just anger or empty words, but something real, something he actually wanted to do, and that was what made it even worse.

"William, are you serious?"

"I am." He began staring at Madur. "He is a mafia leader and nothing more." He continued, his voice steady and controlled, as if he had thought about this many times before. "He is not a god, not a demon, not some kind of monster that cannot be touched. He is a human being, and he is followed by other human beings, and that is all he is." He paused for a moment, then continued. "He is flesh and blood, just like anyone else, and so does his mother, and so does his daughter. He has something to lose, and that is exactly what makes him weak. And once we take away what he loves the most, once we remove everything that gives him strength, his mind will start to break. We will use that. We will push him, we will break him, we will strip everything away from him until he loses control. We will make him desperate, we will make him unstable, and when that happens, when he can no longer think clearly, that is when he will make mistakes. And when he becomes weak, when he loses control, even his own people will start to turn against him. Fear will spread, doubt will spread, and in the end, he will stand alone. That is when we strike. That is when we end him, not as a man with power, but as a broken man who has nothing left."

All Madur could do was bury his face in his hands, the frustration and stress finally getting to him, because what William was saying no longer sounded like a plan, it sounded like something completely out of control, something that should not even be said out loud.

"Do you even hear yourself?" Madur asked, lifting his head again, his voice tighter now. "You created a drug lord that this country has never seen before, and now you want to cut him down and use him in your plan, William. Is that really what you are saying to me? That is not a strategy. That is madness. You are talking about controlling something that you helped create, something that is already dangerous, and now you want to push it even further?" 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"We need to concrete our power." William answered. "If someone else wins, all of us will be executed, and everything we built will fall apart."

Still, it made no sense to Madur, because he knew about the Bellini family, about James himself, and about everything tied to them.

He knows about the connections, the documents, the files, and the almost unimaginable power they hold in their hands. He knows about the hundreds of thousands of pictures, the videos, and all the evidence of corruption, drug abuse, and stolen money. Not even mentioning how deeply they have already embedded themselves within the government because of that, he also knows the consequences of killing James.

It would only bring death to everyone.

The war that would erupt after that would be worse than anything they had ever faced before, worse than any crisis they had ever witnessed, because it would not just destroy people, it would destroy the system itself.

Everything would fall apart. People would lose trust, and the country would become unstable in a way that could no longer be controlled. It would not be a victory... it would be chaos. No, it would be more than chaos. All the blackmailing material that is in the hands of the Bellini family. All of it would literally be the suicide of every government official. All of it would lead to endless bloodshed.

"William, this is the worst—" He couldn’t finish his sentence. The door suddenly burst open as the army generals, rescue team leaders, and others walked into the meeting room, all of them ready to begin the planning.

But Madur couldn’t get the thought out of his mind.

William is on a path that will destroy everything they have built, and one thing is certain, if William truly goes through with his plan, it won’t just be the Bellini family that turns against him, but also people from his own government.
