Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss-Chapter 40 - 38: R&D Begins, Cultivation Phone Version 1.0 (1)
Celeste Grant was truly talented in cultivation, reaching Foundation Establishment in just a short month.
Inside Celeste Grant’s room, dense Spiritual Energy was surging into her body.
She formed seals with her hands.
She was cultivating the Great Words Immortal Cultivation Technique.
Just as Celeste Grant felt the Spiritual Energy within her swell to the point of overflowing, the bottleneck shattered.
In that instant, she felt as if her entire body had been reinforced more than ten times over—from her internal organs to her skin, meridians, blood, and bones. It was a sensation of being utterly reborn.
She had now completely shed her mortal body, becoming a Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivator with a lifespan of two hundred years.
’No wonder everyone wants to cultivate and pursue the path to longevity.’
While an ordinary person’s life spans a mere hundred years, for a Cultivator, that is only the beginning.
She formed seals with her hands, absorbing the Spiritual Energy surrounding her into her body, then refined it and concealed her aura.
Celeste Grant felt her cultivation solidify. ’I’m so much stronger now,’ she thought, ’compared to when I was just a rookie in the Qi Refinement Realm.’
She clenched her fists.
’This feels amazing. So this is what cultivation is like.’
’It feels like I have an inexhaustible supply of strength.’
A Cultivator who reached the Foundation Establishment Stage could easily lift a massive boulder with a single hand.
She used to be a believer in science, but now, there was only one thing she wanted to say.
’The end of science is metaphysics.’
’I have to keep working hard and reach Core Formation as soon as possible.’
’Only then will I have the ability to protect myself.’
A chubby little bird flew in through the window.
Celeste Grant stared, thinking her eyes were playing tricks on her. "Are you... our contract Spirit Beast?"
Given Ruby’s current appearance, she could hardly recognize her.
The little chick flapped its wings, happily circling her. [It’s me, Master! You’re awake!]
Although the Vermilion Bird was her son’s contract Spirit Beast, it also called Celeste Grant "Master." After all, its master’s mother was a master too.
Celeste Grant’s gaze fell on the tuft of red feathers on its head.
’Alright, this really is our Spirit Beast.’
It looked like it had grown a size bigger.
Seeing its plump little body, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but say, "You look a size bigger... How did you get so fat?"
’And it can still fly so nimbly, despite being so fat.’
Hearing Celeste Grant call it fat, Ruby seemed a little embarrassed.
[I’m still growing, so I ate a little extra. It’s mainly because the people here are so welcoming. They bring me all sorts of offerings to eat every day. I lost control, and all the energy I accumulated made me fat.]
The corner of Celeste Grant’s mouth twitched. She reached out, grabbed Ruby, and held it in front of her eyes.
"You’re as round as a ball."
[Master, I’m about to advance. I wanted to let you know.]
Hearing this, Celeste Grant’s eyes lit up. "Really? Then go ahead. Your master and I will be counting on you from now on. Get stronger and stronger!"
[Okay.]
The chubby bird nuzzled against Celeste Grant’s hand, then shot out the window with a WHOOSH to find a place for its breakthrough.
As for the winged White Tiger, when it wasn’t out for a stroll and a meal, it would return to lie under her son’s crib and cultivate.
Celeste Grant got up.
She felt clear-headed and refreshed.
’Right, my son.’ 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Thinking of her son, Celeste Grant immediately went to check on him. When she stood by the crib, however, she saw no sign of him inside.
Her first instinct was to find him.
She flashed to the doorway.
"Someone!"
Soon, someone came over from the courtyard. It was the pair of sisters left there to serve her, Cyan and Jade. "Madam, do you have any instructions for us?"
The other attendant didn’t need to be told; she had already guessed Celeste was probably looking for her son. After all, a mother’s first instinct upon waking and not seeing her child is to search for them.
Cyan spoke up, "Madam, are you looking for the Young Master?"
Celeste Grant nodded.
"Yes. Where’s my son?"
"Madam, The Exalted One took the Young Master to his quarters."
Celeste Grant was relieved to hear that his own father had taken him. "Alright, I understand."
Jade, standing to one side, added, "Madam, you slept for three days after drinking the Spiritual Wine. When the Young Master got hungry, we fed him Spiritual Beast Milk."
Celeste Grant was surprised.
"Three days."
’I actually slept for three days? I didn’t feel a thing.’
"Alright, I’ll go see my son. Which way to The Exalted One’s quarters again?"
Cyan pointed the way. "This way, Madam. I’ll take you there."
"Okay."
’I can’t believe I drank some wine and slept for three whole days,’ she thought. ’My poor Annie. I can’t just drink casually anymore.’
She had followed Cyan only a short distance when she saw Javier Sinclair, dressed in dark blue robes, walking toward them while holding the child.
His figure was tall and slender, and his usual cold, aloof demeanor warned strangers to keep their distance. However, holding a child in his arms seemed to diminish his imposing, majestic aura considerably.
’So he’s a new dad now. Even The Archfiend can’t escape childcare duty.’
"The Exalted One."
Seeing him, Celeste Grant waved a greeting.
She jogged up to him.
Her gaze fell on the child in his arms as she said, "Has Annie been a good boy? Cyan told me I slept for three days. Did my precious baby miss me?"
Seeing Celeste Grant, Javier Sinclair recalled the scene from that night when the woman had clung to him and refused to let go.
’Judging by her expression, she’s forgotten.’
Handing the child to her, Javier Sinclair said flatly, "He didn’t cry much. He just ate and slept."
Celeste Grant reached out and took the child into her arms.
The baby was awake, his dark eyes looking all around. He was clearly too young to recognize faces, but he could sense the presence of the adults around him.
For instance, a baby can always sense when they’re being held by the person who usually cares for them.
Perhaps sensing her presence, his lower lip trembled, and he began to cry.
It was just a couple of whimpers, like he was only pretending to cry.
"Hush now, Mommy’s got you. Mwah, my sweet boy," she cooed, kissing his cheek.
Hearing her voice, the child in her arms quieted down again. Celeste Grant glanced at Javier Sinclair and said, "Well, I’ll take our son back to my room, then. You must be busy, Exalted One."
Javier Sinclair stated, "I’m not busy."
Celeste Grant glanced at him.
"Then you should go cultivate. I’ve got Annie."
With that, she turned, holding her son, and walked away, humming a little tune.
He watched her walk away.
Javier Sinclair remained standing there, utterly speechless.
’Do I really have such a weak presence?’
「The following days.」
Celeste Grant was very busy. When she wasn’t cultivating in the Spirit Gathering Array or taking care of her son, she was busy with research and development.
She was researching whether she could bring the Cultivation World into the internet age and make something like smartphones a reality. ’If it works,’ she thought, ’I can already envision myself becoming the wealthiest person in the Cultivation World.’
’Of course, I’ll need support for ideas like these.’
And so, Celeste Grant gathered Left Protector Nerida, two elders from the Bloodfiend Den who specialized in arrays, and her son’s father to propose her ideas and consult with them.
Celeste Grant explained her vision to them.
"Now that I’m a member of the Demonic Sects, I feel it is my duty to contribute to our Bloodfiend Den. That’s why I’ve come up with these ideas. I hope I can count on your support. Everything I’ve just described is my proposal."
