Time passed as Ash spent his time going through Eric’s notes. What looked like chaos at first slowly began to show structure.
Diagrams connected to other diagrams. Calculations supported layered designs. Even the scattered papers had a certain order once he followed the flow of thought behind them.
Though, it still took him a few days just to roughly see everything. Not understand it completely, not master it, but simply grasp the outline of what Eric had built over the past 3000+ years.
To go into deeper details, he would leave all that for Eric to explain to him personally once he woke up.
After all, he could not expect to absorb in a few days what Eric had spent millennia constructing piece by piece.
There were shortcuts in knowledge, but not in experience.
It was better to let Eric walk him through the structure himself rather than misunderstand something critical.
During the small gaps when his mind felt heavy from reading formulas and structural drafts, Ash’s thoughts drifted back to himself.
