Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Sun Zhe’s Confession

In Room 402 of Unit 5 in the Ping’an District, the living room wasn’t very spacious, but it was clean, tidy, and warmly decorated.

Zhu Yan, dressed in shiny black stockings and a professional pencil skirt, stood with her hands on her hips, glaring angrily at Sun Zhe and Ye Qiao on the sofa. She had just come home and caught them red-handed.

"You two have some real nerve!" she snapped. "Doing it in the living room is one thing, but you didn’t even close the door! Do you need everything to be so thrilling? What if a neighbor had seen you?"

"..."

At this, Sun Zhe and Ye Qiao both hung their heads, not daring to look at Zhu Yan, like two children caught misbehaving. But as Zhu Yan continued to scold them, Ye Qiao finally couldn’t take it anymore.

She suddenly lifted her head and looked Zhu Yan right in the eye. "Mom, I’m not hiding it anymore," she said bravely. "I like him!"

"But he’s your brother!" Zhu Yan retorted.

Ye Qiao’s cheeks puffed out slightly as she looked away. "We aren’t blood-related," she mumbled. "Besides, you and Sun Wei never registered your marriage, did you? Strictly speaking, you aren’t really husband and wife. Ultimately, we were just taken in by Sun Wei, so we have no connection to the Sun Family, by blood or by law."

"Qiaoqiao, you..."

Zhu Yan’s chest tightened with anger, and for a moment, she didn’t know what to say. The truth was, she had known about Ye Qiao and Sun Zhe for quite some time. She also knew that Sun Zhe knew that she knew.

"Sigh!"

She looked at her precious daughter and sighed helplessly. Deep down, she genuinely admired Ye Qiao’s straightforward and bold personality, one that allowed her to love and hate so fiercely.

Then, Ye Qiao muttered, "Besides, didn’t you sneak into his room yourself? I saw you that night."

Hearing this, Zhu Yan’s pretty eyes widened in shock, and her face flushed beet red. Beside them, Sun Zhe’s eyes also widened in disbelief as he stared at Ye Qiao.

He genuinely admired Ye Qiao for her audacity, for daring to just lay everything bare and make the situation awkward for everyone. Yet, paradoxically, when everyone was put on the spot, it somehow became less awkward. With the last veil of pretense torn away, all three of them were exposed. What was there left to be embarrassed about?

"Fine... In any case, your affair is none of my business. Do whatever you want."

At her words, Ye Qiao’s eyes lit up. "So, Mom, you’re okay with us being together?"

Zhu Yan gave a soft snort and looked away. "I said it’s none of my business."

She knew perfectly well she had no right to tell Ye Qiao what to do. After all, she couldn’t endure the loneliness and emptiness herself, often spending her nights with Sun Zhe.

Ye Qiao smiled sweetly, suddenly feeling as if the whole world had brightened. She hugged Sun Zhe’s arm and said, "Then after I graduate, I’m going to register our marriage and become his real wife!"

Sun Zhe was startled. "Register our marriage?!"

"Yes, I want to be with you openly, as your wife."

Sun Zhe’s expression suddenly turned strange. "Qiaoqiao, don’t you want to become a star and build your own career? Wouldn’t getting married so early affect that?"

Ye Qiao shook her head nonchalantly. "What’s there to be afraid of? It won’t conflict with my career."

"Sigh!"

Sun Zhe suddenly let out a sigh. He felt it was time to confess everything to Zhu Yan and Ye Qiao.

"Brother, why are you sighing? Don’t you want to be with me?"

Sun Zhe’s expression turned serious. "The truth is, I can never marry anyone in this life. Nor can I have only one woman."

At his words, the mother and daughter stared at him, their faces masks of confusion.

Sun Zhe shook his head with a wry smile, rose, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. "Call me a fickle playboy or a scumbag, it doesn’t matter," he said slowly. "I’ve gone too far down this path to turn back."

"Brother, what are you trying to say? Why are you suddenly being so profound?"

Zhu Yan nodded. "Ah Zhe, if you’re in some kind of trouble, just tell us."

Afterward, Sun Zhe explained everything. He told them about his practice of the Yin Yang Sacred Heart Technique and how this Dual Cultivation Technique affected him.

The two women were completely bewildered. To an ordinary person, the world of Martial Artists sounded like pure fantasy.

However, their doubts vanished when Sun Zhe demonstrated his Yin Yang X-ray Vision, accurately describing the color of the lingerie Zhu Yan was wearing underneath her clothes and the contents of the adjacent room. After that, he easily hoisted the heavy sofa with a single hand—a feat impossible for an ordinary person—and even manifested his True Qi for them to see.

"My God... Brother, are you even human?" Ye Qiao exclaimed. "You’re just like one of those Hidden Cultivators from the novels!"

Watching the True Qi flow from Sun Zhe’s fingertips, she rubbed her eyes, suddenly feeling as if the world itself wasn’t real.

Sun Zhe retracted his True Qi. "So you see, Qiaoqiao," he said, "if we were truly together, it would be unfair to you. Besides, you alone cannot satisfy the needs of my Cultivation."

Ye Qiao composed herself and thought for a moment before her gaze suddenly shifted to Zhu Yan. "Then what if Mom joins us?" she proposed.

The thought of Sun Zhe cultivating with other women was hard for her to accept, but her mother was different. Zhu Yan wasn’t an outsider. She also knew how much her mother had endured over the years; thinking about it sometimes made her feel sorry for her.

At this suggestion, Zhu Yan’s neck and face flushed crimson. She whipped her head aside, looking as if she wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words.

Sun Zhe simply shook his head. "Even the two of you wouldn’t be enough."

Ye Qiao was incredulous. "Is your Cultivation Technique really that demanding? Mom and I together still can’t satisfy your Cultivation?"

"It’s true. I’m not lying to you."

Sun Zhe was extremely confident in his abilities in that particular area. As his Cultivation level increased, his prowess would only continue to grow stronger.

He looked at the two women before him and said with utmost seriousness, "But no matter what happens in the future, you two will always be my most important family."

Hearing this, both women felt a warmth spread through their hearts, and their gazes softened as they looked at him.

Sun Zhe gave another wry smile. "And to me, you’re not just cultivation furnaces. So, Qiaoqiao, if we were really together, it would be deeply unfair to you."

Ye Qiao’s eyes darted about as an idea suddenly struck her. "Alright, how about this? If you can completely conquer both Mom and me tonight, I’ll agree to you finding other women to cultivate with. But if you can’t, then from now on, you can only have the two of us!"

Sun Zhe was stunned. "That’s an option?"

Zhu Yan, blushing furiously, quickly waved her hands. "No! Let’s not!" She turned to Sun Zhe. "Ah Zhe, your father actually mentioned things about Martial Artists before; I just never paid it any mind back then. I know that for people at your level, increasing your Cultivation is a lifelong pursuit. I don’t understand any of it, so I won’t ask too many questions. Since you’ve gone too far to turn back, my only hope is that no matter what happens, you won’t fail Qiaoqiao."

Sun Zhe said quickly, "Of course not! You and Qiaoqiao are my most important family!"

"Hmph!"

Ye Qiao suddenly snorted, gritting her teeth as she glared at Sun Zhe. Even though he had been completely honest, she still found it hard to accept the idea of him performing Dual Cultivation with other women. Just the thought of that mental image made her stomach churn.

"I refuse to believe your Dual Cultivation Technique is so powerful that I alone can’t satisfy you!" she declared, grabbing Sun Zhe’s hand and dragging him straight into the bedroom.

"Tonight, I’m going to put it to the test!"
