"Hold your collar open and gently shake it out."

Lin Shuqing’s body trembled, but she did as he said and quickly shook the small snake out onto the ground.

Sun Zhe looked down and his anger surged when he saw it was a highly venomous Silver Ring Snake. However, he knew this creature was a Class II protected animal—harming one meant doing hard time—so he didn’t dare do anything more than kick it away.

"Teacher Lin, did it bite you?"

Lin Shuqing furrowed her brow tightly, her face contorted in pain as she glanced down at her chest.

Sun Zhe looked up, and through his Yin Yang X-ray Vision, he could clearly see two small puncture wounds on the snow-white skin of her breast. She had been bitten!

The bite was in an awkward spot, too—right at the base of her full, white breast, near her armpit.

But Sun Zhe had no time for improper thoughts. The potent neurotoxin of a Silver Ring Snake was no joke.

He quickly pressed several acupressure points on her chest to slow the spread of the venom.

"Teacher Lin, let’s get to the car!" he urged. "Don’t worry. You’ll be alright with me here."

Lin Shuqing’s body swayed, on the verge of collapse. Her beautiful eyes welled with tears as she nodded at Sun Zhe. He knew the neurotoxin was affecting her and that she could barely walk. He turned, crouching down with his back to her.

"Come on, I’ll carry you."

Sun Zhe lifted Lin Shuqing onto his back and ran toward the edge of the forest with all his might. Now that he had reached the Golden Core Stage, every muscle in his body felt like it was brimming with explosive power. A single, casual leap could cover more than ten meters. Lin Shuqing felt as light as a feather on his back.

Once he had gauged his new limits and adjusted to his body, Sun Zhe held nothing back. Carrying Lin Shuqing, he leaped into the trees and darted between them like a ghost in the night, seemingly defying gravity.

Lin Shuqing took out her phone and typed a message: "There are inns in the nearby town. Let’s find one and get some rest."
