Playboy: Medical and Martial Master-Chapter 342 - 337: Sun Batian!
As they spoke, Sun Zhe walked out of the stone chamber with Su Nanzhi's support.
The moment he reached the main chamber of the cave, Sun Zhe's eyes fell upon the Black Kui.
It was lying in the center of the spacious chamber, barely clinging to life. Its breath was faint, and its body was covered in shocking wounds, including two fang marks on its neck that were still oozing pus and blood. The ground beneath it had become a pool of blood, emitting a strong, foul stench.
Seeing this, Sun Zhe's heart tightened, and he quickened his pace.
Su Nanzhi, her eyes red and teary as she supported him, said in a choked voice, "You've been unconscious for a day and a night. It has been clinging to life, waiting for you."
"Waiting for me?"
Su Nanzhi nodded.
Just then, the Black Kui raised its head. It looked at Sun Zhe with an almost pleading gaze, then extended a paw and scraped a few words into the ground with the tip of a claw.
[I'm dying.]
Seeing these words on the ground, Sun Zhe's eyes widened in disbelief.
The Black Kui gave him a faint nod, then wrote again. [Take care of my child.]
After writing this, the Black Kui seemed to experience a final burst of energy. It forced itself to stand, its entire body erupting with violent True Qi as it spat out a shining Inner Core. The moment the Inner Core left its mouth, the creature crashed to the ground. Its True Qi dispersed in an instant, and all signs of life vanished.
"Big Sister Tiger…"
Sun Zhe gritted his teeth. Ignoring the Inner Core, he endured the excruciating pain racking his body and rushed to the Black Kui's corpse. He activated his Yin Yang X-ray Vision to check on the cub in its womb.
"Nanzhi, the knife!"
Su Nanzhi hurriedly took out a Jungle Dagger from a small pouch at her waist.
"Ah Zhe, is the cub still alive?"
Sun Zhe nodded. "We need to cut it out as soon as possible."
A short while later, Sun Zhe reached his blood-covered hands into the Black Kui's abdomen and pulled out a squirming little tiger cub.
Beside him, Su Nanzhi saw the lively little cub and let out a long sigh of relief. Looking at the mother's body, she said wistfully, "It's a shame, but at least its life has been passed on."
Sun Zhe carefully cradled the small Black Kui, walked to the side, and sank weakly to the ground. "Nanzhi," he said faintly, "give it a name."
Su Nanzhi asked, "Is it a male or a female?"
Sun Zhe gently parted the cub's hind legs to check. "A female." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
"Hmm… It looks like a little kitten. How about Hakimi?"
Hearing this, Sun Zhe gave her a strange look. "President Su, could we perhaps pick a more imposing name?"
Su Nanzhi rolled her eyes at him. "You're so clever, you think of one."
Sun Zhe thought for a moment and said, "Batian."
Su Nanzhi was speechless.
Looking at the little Black Kui in his arms, Sun Zhe nodded in satisfaction. "From now on, you'll be called 'Batian.' You'll take my surname, so you'll be Sun Batian."
Su Nanzhi couldn't help but sigh. "That is so typically you."
Sun Zhe let out a long breath and gently placed the cub on the ground. "Nanzhi, I'll have to leave the rest to you," he said weakly. "I'm at my limit. I need to go lie down again."
Su Nanzhi knew his injuries were severe and that he had been pushing himself, so she went over to support him.
"I'll help you inside."
Sun Zhe asked, "By the way, where are the herbs I gathered earlier?"
"I knew you wouldn't want to leave them behind, so I brought them all with me."
"There's a Long-bearded White Ginseng in there," Sun Zhe said. "Please get it for me."
"You're just going to eat it raw?"
"Under the circumstances, it's the only way."
After an unknown amount of time, Sun Zhe woke up naturally. He felt the pain throughout his body had eased significantly, and his injuries were mostly healed.
He got out of bed and stretched his limbs slightly, then suddenly heard Su Nanzhi's cheerful laughter coming from outside. He walked out of the stone chamber and saw her playing with Sun Batian in the main chamber. The cub seemed quite attached, its two small, pink paws wrapped around Su Nanzhi's leg, refusing to let go.
Sun Zhe walked over and asked with a smile, "It can already open its eyes and walk?"
Su Nanzhi looked up at him and smiled wryly. "After all, it's a Jiao Beast. It started life on a completely different level, unlike ordinary mammals."
Just then, Sun Batian spotted Sun Zhe and was so startled it nearly fell over. It hurriedly hid behind Su Nanzhi, then peeked its little head out to tactically observe him, like a shy little girl.
Seeing its adorable antics, Sun Zhe couldn't help but chuckle.
Su Nanzhi squatted down and gently petted the cub. "Batian, this is the man who delivered you. Don't you recognize him?"
Sun Zhe protested, "Why did you have to call me a midwife? That sounds awful. Technically, I should be considered its godfather." He then beckoned to the cub, "Come on, Batian. Come to Daddy."
Su Nanzhi shot him a glare. "But it thinks I'm its mother."
Sun Zhe scratched his head and suggested, "So why don't you be its mother then?"
Su Nanzhi's face flushed red. She gave a soft huff and ignored him.
Unexpectedly, Sun Batian emerged from behind Su Nanzhi. It wobbled over to Sun Zhe, its big, bright eyes filled with mischievous curiosity as it looked him over.
Su Nanzhi smiled. "It must be remembering your scent."
Sun Zhe looked down at the little one. "Say 'Daddy.'"
"AWOO! AWOO!"
Sun Batian chirped happily, then rubbed its forehead against Sun Zhe's leg.
Feeling his heart melt, Sun Zhe bent down, scooped the cub up, and promptly began to cuddle it intensely.
"By the way, Nanzhi, where's its mother?" Sun Zhe only then noticed that the Black Kui's body was gone.
Su Nanzhi walked over and stuffed the Inner Core the Black Kui had left into his pocket. "I dragged it to the cave entrance and buried it while you were asleep."
Recalling the Black Kui's elephantine size, Sun Zhe remarked, "You're one tough woman."
Su Nanzhi huffed. "I'm a Martial Artist, you know. Did you really think I was some damsel in distress?"
Suddenly remembering something, Sun Zhe put Sun Batian down and asked, "Speaking of which, what's the little one going to eat now that its mother is gone?"
"Milk," Su Nanzhi said.
Hearing this, Sun Zhe instinctively glanced at her impressive bosom. The two towering, snowy peaks were barely contained by a blood-stained bra, creating a look that was both sexy and a little wild.
Su Nanzhi noticed his gaze and her face turned red. "Hey, hey, where are you looking?" she chided.
Sun Zhe quickly looked away, stroking his chin as he said with a straight face, "I think human milk would probably work."
Su Nanzhi's expression immediately darkened. "Your scheming is so obvious it's practically slapping me in the face," she said in a strained voice. "Mr. Sun, I advise you to discard those unrealistic and absurd ideas."
Sun Zhe mumbled under his breath, "She just said she was its mother, but now she won't even nurse it."
SMACK!
He had barely finished speaking when Su Nanzhi slapped him on the top of his head. "I can't be bothered with you!"
Sun Zhe promptly changed the subject. "I think milk from other mammals should work, too."
Su Nanzhi sounded a bit helpless. "But where are we going to find any?"
"I'll go out and look. I'll be back soon," Sun Zhe said. "If that doesn't work, I'll find something else for it to eat."
Su Nanzhi asked worriedly, "Are your injuries healed enough for you to go out?"
"Yes. Thanks to that White Ginseng, I'm much better."
After giving Su Nanzhi a few more instructions, Sun Zhe left the cave dwelling, spread his wings, and took to the sky. He immediately activated his Yin Yang X-ray Vision to search for food for Sun Batian.
By now, evening had arrived, and the sky was growing dark.
Sun Zhe circled in the air a few times without any luck, so he had no choice but to expand his search radius. A short while later, as he was flying over a mountain, he came to an abrupt halt, his senses on high alert.
How are there people in these mountains?
And the Three-headed Snake is here, too.
