Playboy: Medical and Martial Master-Chapter 147: Who Is Leng Yueshuang?
It was another sunny morning. Sun Zhe woke up to find himself lying in an unfamiliar bed.
The pillow and quilt exuded a faint, feminine fragrance. The room’s decor was exquisite and lovely, mostly filled with items one would associate with a woman, like fresh flowers and plush toys. So, this was a woman’s room.
"Damn!" he cursed, rubbing his temples. What happened last night?
Sun Zhe sat up abruptly and tried to recall the events of the previous night. But even after racking his brain, he could only remember having a blast in the private room. He’d apparently danced and even done some flirting. Afterwards, he ran into Zhu Yan at the elevators and they seemed to have argued. Then Chu Youdie had pulled him into a taxi... and that was it. The rest was a blank.
This has to be Chu Youdie’s place.
Sun Zhe looked around and spotted a photo of Chu Youdie in her police uniform on the nightstand. In the picture, she had her hair in a ponytail and wore no makeup. She was basking in the sunlight, looking pure and sweet, yet she also possessed a striking, spirited air.
After staring blankly for a moment, Sun Zhe lifted the quilt to get out of bed, only to discover he was wrapped in nothing but a bath towel.
What the... Did she help me take my clothes off?
「A short while later.」
Sun Zhe walked into the living room and immediately saw Chu Youdie dozing on the sofa. She was still in the pleated skirt she wore for work, her long, beautiful legs wrapped in glossy, sheer stockings. Her small, exquisite, stocking-clad feet were incredibly alluring.
She was slouched on the sofa with her legs parted slightly. From Sun Zhe’s angle, he could just see the mysterious mound beneath her short skirt—he could even make out the faint outline of the crease impressed upon it. Unfortunately, pesky safety shorts blocked the view, so the crease was all he could see.
This involuntarily reminded him of the first time he’d met her, when he had reached out and touched her there. He recalled how plump and tender she was down there, how good it felt, and how easily she became wet with just a light touch...
As he reminisced, Sun Zhe suddenly felt a heat build in his lower abdomen as his Yang Qi began to stir uncontrollably. The bath towel wrapped around his waist quickly pitched a large tent.
"Damn it, not again!" Sun Zhe gritted his teeth and quickly looked away, his eyes scanning the room for his clothes.
Just then, the sharp and alert Chu Youdie snapped her eyes open. She saw Sun Zhe looking around furtively like a thief and was about to ask what he was doing when her gaze fell upon the large tent. Her face instantly turned red.
This guy... Did he get a reaction just from looking at me?
Her heart skipped a beat. Not daring to let her thoughts run wild, she asked coolly, "What are you doing, skulking around like that?"
Hearing this, Sun Zhe instinctively hunched over to make the tent seem smaller. He then glanced up at Chu Youdie and noticed the faint dark circles under her eyes. She clearly hadn’t slept well.
"So... what happened last night?" he asked. "Why are my clothes gone? And... why was I sleeping in your room while you were on the sofa?"
"What is this, twenty questions?" Chu Youdie yawned lazily and discreetly brought her parted, stocking-clad legs together. "Don’t get the wrong idea," she explained. "I didn’t do anything to you last night."
"As for you sleeping in my room, you were the one who insisted on going in there. I couldn’t pull you out, so I had no choice but to give you the room."
"Oh, I see." Sun Zhe scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Sorry for all the trouble."
Chu Youdie snorted. "At least you have the decency to know you were trouble."
Sun Zhe muttered under his breath, "But you’re a public servant. This just counts as serving the people, right?"
At his words, Chu Youdie’s eyes widened as she glared at him. "Can you try being a normal person for once?"
Sun Zhe put on a pitiful expression. "Would you really have the heart to let a poor, drunk boy like me sleep on the streets? What if I’d been in danger?"
Chu Youdie looked like she was about to gag and rolled her eyes at him. "I can’t be bothered with the likes of you."
Sun Zhe gave an awkward laugh and looked around. "Anyway, where are my clothes, Officer?"
At his question, Chu Youdie suddenly slapped her forehead and hurried to the bathroom.
「A short while later.」
She returned holding a pile of clothes with a look of disgust and tossed them onto the sofa.
"I was too busy waiting on your highness all night and forgot to hang your clothes. They’ve been sitting in the washing machine this whole time."
"They’re washed and have gone through the spin cycle, so they’re just a little damp. They should be wearable."
Looking at the pile of clothes on the sofa, which even included his underwear, Sun Zhe felt a pang of guilt. He hadn’t expected her to do his laundry.
"Um, Officer..." He looked up at Chu Youdie, hesitating.
Chu Youdie rolled her eyes again. "What is it? If you have something to say, just say it."
Sun Zhe smiled. "Really, thank you for last night."
Chu Youdie waved it off. "Don’t thank me. We’re even. You helped me out a lot last night, too."
Sun Zhe smiled faintly. "Like I said, I wasn’t helping you. I was helping your profession."
Chu Youdie shot him a look, her gaze unintentionally drifting to the large tent. She couldn’t help but recall helping him in the shower last night. She had handled that big thing herself. Its size and weight were truly astonishing—even more impressive than the Fairy Wand she kept hidden in her nightstand drawer.
Noticing her gaze, Sun Zhe teased, "What, are you interested? How about I let the officer inspect my body?"
Chu Youdie snorted and pointedly looked away. "Oh, get lost! Have you no shame? If this were a few decades ago, I’d have you arrested for hooliganism!"
Hearing this, Sun Zhe burst out laughing.
Chu Youdie’s expression suddenly turned serious. "Alright, I have something serious to discuss with you."
"What is it?"
Chu Youdie got straight to the point. "Are you and Leng Yueshuang really boyfriend and girlfriend?"
Sun Zhe simply shook his head, indicating he didn’t want to talk about it.
Chu Youdie looked at him earnestly. "Someone like Li Changqing is willing to help you, so I believe you must be a good person."
Sun Zhe asked curiously, "What kind of person is Mr. Li?"
Chu Youdie answered frankly, "He’s the person I respect most in the world. You could even call him my idol. The stability Hua Country enjoys today is largely thanks to him."
Hearing this, Sun Zhe couldn’t help but picture Li Changqing’s benevolent face, and a sense of deep respect washed over him.
Chu Youdie suddenly asked, "Do you know who Leng Yueshuang really is?"
Sun Zhe shook his head. "Right now, all I know is that she’s part of the criminal underworld."
"It’s not that simple," Chu Youdie said.
"What do you mean?"
Chu Youdie explained, "We suspect she has connections to an underground syndicate in Northern Myanmar. She might even be the mastermind behind it."
Sun Zhe frowned. "Do you have any proof?"
"I went undercover in places like that to gather evidence against her," Chu Youdie said. She added, "It’s all over the internet these days, so you must know what Northern Myanmar is like. Online scams, human organ trafficking, you name it... they have everything. It’s no exaggeration to call that place hell on earth."
Sun Zhe narrowed his eyes and stared at Chu Youdie. "So, you’re telling me Leng Yueshuang is involved in all that?"
Chu Youdie replied with a solemn expression, "Right now, it’s just a suspicion. Without solid proof, I can’t say for sure. Sun Zhe, what I’m trying to say is that you’re a good person. I don’t want to see you get too deeply involved with her."
