Chapter 111: Chapter 111: An Unmasterable Ultimate Technique

When Sun Zhe returned to the hospital, it was already past five in the afternoon.

As soon as he entered the office, he saw Meng Shiyang sitting in front of the computer, staring at the screen without blinking.

"Shiya, are you watching those movies again?"

Meng Shiyang shot him a disdainful glance, her expression defiant. "What do you mean, ’again’? When have I ever watched anything like that?"

Sun Zhe was amused. "Really? Never?"

Meng Shiyang replied firmly, "Nope! I’m a decent person. I never watch things that aren’t suitable for children!"

Sun Zhe’s expression turned odd. "Then how do you explain someone’s browsing history?"

Upon hearing this, Meng Shiyang’s pretty face flushed red, her defenses instantly crumbling. "Oh, come on, Master! That was a while ago... I’m binge-watching a show now. It’s a proper historical palace-intrigue drama!"

Sun Zhe shook his head with a smile. "Alright, alright. You can keep watching. I’m going to rest in the back. Just remember to get me when it’s time to clock out." The afternoon of performing mentally taxing acupuncture and physically draining rod treatments had left him exhausted. He really didn’t have the energy to banter with Meng Shiyang.

「In the small partition.」

Sun Zhe sat cross-legged on the bed, closed his eyes, and began to cultivate. After assimilating the Yin Essence he had absorbed from Su Qingli, he focused on practicing "True Qi Thunder Transformation."

This supreme skill from Jiewu Palace was extremely difficult to master. Many times, after transforming his True Qi into thunder within his body, he would inadvertently electrocute himself before he could release it.

Being electrocuted was an extremely unpleasant sensation.

It was like a novice trying to show off with nunchucks, only to accidentally smack himself in the balls.

And just like that novice, Sun Zhe was feeling that particular brand of agonizing frustration now, so much so that he’d considered giving up.

However, he had already grasped the basics and was one step closer to success. He couldn’t let his previous efforts go to waste, so he had no choice but to grit his teeth and carry on.

He had been this way since he was a child: either he wouldn’t do something at all, or he would do it to perfection!

...

Time trickled by.

「Nightfall.」

"Silly Master, it’s quitting time! If you’re not excited to get off work, there must be something wrong with your head!"

Meng Shiyang, who had already changed out of her white coat and into a short skirt, ran into the small partition to grab her bag. She stopped dead in her tracks, petrified. Sun Zhe was lying on the bed, trembling as if he were being electrocuted.

"Master... what’s happening to you?"

At her voice, Sun Zhe’s eyes snapped open and he quickly rolled off the bed.

"Uh, it’s nothing... I just had a nightmare."

"I see."

Meng Shiyang gave him a strange look but didn’t press the matter.

Sun Zhe wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Well, Shiya, you should go ahead. I’ll lock up later."

Meng Shiyang smiled sweetly, stepping forward to hug his arm. "Hey, Master, why don’t you come to my place tonight? I’ll cook for you... Ah!"

Before she could finish, she suddenly shrieked, snatching her hand back and stumbling a few steps away.

"Master, why... are you electric? You just shocked me!"

Sun Zhe scratched his head, a bitter expression on his face. How was he supposed to explain this to her?

After a moment’s thought, he explained stiffly, "I’ve always had strong static electricity since I was a kid."

But Meng Shiyang countered, "It’s summer, though. Where would static electricity come from?"

Sun Zhe replied with a straight face, "Maybe I’m special."

"Alright, then. So, are you coming to my place or not?"

"Not today. I have an appointment later."

"Oh... okay then."

Visibly disappointed, Meng Shiyang turned and left.

Watching her retreating back, Sun Zhe let out a silent sigh, a wave of fear washing over him.

Luckily, I didn’t hurt Shiya.

He clenched his fist, and a visible arc of electricity crackled over his knuckles. Why is this "True Qi Thunder Transformation" so hard to master? he muttered.

Sigh, I guess a noob like me just has to keep practicing.

...

「At the hospital entrance.」

Sun Zhe didn’t have to wait long before a Maserati drove up and stopped in front of him.

As the car window rolled down, he saw Leng Yueshuang’s exquisite and aloof profile.

"Get in."

"Alright, President Leng!"

Soon after, Sun Zhe was seated in the passenger seat, secretly sizing up Leng Yueshuang and feeling stunned by her beauty.

This ice queen is actually wearing a crop top!

Moreover, the long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder knit top had an open-work design, offering faint glimpses of the black bra she wore underneath. The swell of her chest stretched the fabric taut, making a man’s hands itch to feel their fullness. She wore a pair of loose-fitting sweatpants, but the way she was sitting pulled the fabric taut, faintly revealing the contour of her pubic bone and the distinct V-shaped outline beneath.

Leng Yueshuang glanced at him. "What dirty thoughts are you having now?"

Sun Zhe quickly averted his gaze, staring intently out the window as he changed the subject. "So, where are you taking me, President Leng?"

"I’m taking you to the company to introduce you to some of the senior executives at Lieyang Group."

Sun Zhe asked, "By the way, what exactly does Lieyang Group do?"

Leng Yueshuang didn’t answer. Instead, she stomped on the accelerator. The luxury car shot forward like an untethered wild horse, hugging the road as its speed quickly climbed to 90.

Her expression was blank as she stared out at the road. "Lieyang has extensive business interests," she said slowly. "We’re in everything from nightclubs and private clubs to casinos and online streaming."

Sun Zhe nodded. "That’s quite a range."

Leng Yueshuang asked, "Have you eaten?"

"Not yet."

"Good. Let’s find a place to eat. I haven’t eaten either."

Sun Zhe chuckled. "You’re the boss, you call the shots."

...

Not long after, they found a Sichuan restaurant by the roadside that looked decent.

As soon as the dishes were served, Sun Zhe began to devour his food. He’d lost a lot of protein during Su Qingli’s "facial" that afternoon, so he was determined to get it back by gorging on meat.

Watching the man wolf down his food, Leng Yueshuang suddenly found her own appetite stirred.

"Have you not eaten in several lifetimes? Or are you afraid I’m going to fight you for it?"

Sun Zhe merely smiled without speaking, picking up a spicy rabbit head to gnaw on.

"Well, well, President Leng. Enjoying a meal with your boyfriend?"

Just as Sun Zhe was feasting heartily, a teasing male voice cut in from the side.

Sun Zhe looked over and saw a man in a black leather jacket who stood at least 190 centimeters tall. A scorpion tattoo was visible on his exposed neck.

The man in the leather jacket plopped down beside Leng Yueshuang and slung an arm around her shoulder.

"President Leng, take a walk with me. Our boss wants to see you."

Leng Yueshuang put down her chopsticks, her face devoid of expression. "You’re one of Wang Laowu’s men?"

The man grinned. "I was worried a person of your stature might have forgotten him, President Leng. I’m surprised you still remember our boss."

At that moment, Sun Zhe glared at the man across the table, his fists clenching.

Clearly, this guy is up to no good. I’ll take him down in one move!

But just as he was about to make his move, he saw the glint of a handgun pressed against Leng Yueshuang’s slender waist.

He froze, abandoning any thought of attacking. Even though he was confident in his current skills, he didn’t dare challenge a gun.

As the saying goes, outside of seven paces, the gun is fast. But within seven paces, the gun is faster and more accurate!

With the muzzle already pressed against Leng Yueshuang, he wouldn’t dare make a rash move even if he had the courage of ten men.

Leng Yueshuang slowly stood up, looked at Sun Zhe, and said, "I’ll find you another time. You should go home for tonight."

"Not so fast, pal," the man sneered, pointing the gun at Sun Zhe’s forehead. "Come along with us. You’re not thinking of leaving such a beautiful girlfriend all alone, are you?"
