Picking Up Attributes In Martial World-Chapter 77: Evil Rhyshadiums
Ye Jun had to say he didn’t think of dual cultivating with Song Liangxue. But now that Meihui pointed it out, he realized it was a brilliant idea.
"It’ll take time," he said. "Getting anything with a Yang attribute is hard enough, let alone copying it. But I’m confident I can get it."
"We have plenty of time, dear," Song Liangxue said. "With this physique, your advancement to higher realms is certain, and that means a longer lifespan."
She stared at her pale arms and said, "And I also need to get my body ready for it. Not to mention a proper dual cultivation technique. They’re rare, as most come with side effects."
"Like?" Ye Jun asked, curious.
"Usually they can’t balance the fusion of Yang and Yin, which makes one contribute much more than the other."
"They’ll be sucked to death," Ye Jun guessed.
"Precisely."
Ye Jun sighed. "I guess I’ll wait then."
"What? Already impatient?" Song Liangxue asked. "I did give you permission to marry other women."
Ye Jun glanced at Meihui, who was looking outside. He could sense subtle changes in her body structure and her expression. Seeing that, he smiled.
He turned back to Song Liangxue and said, "It’ll be our family, Xue. I’m not going to bring just any woman into our life."
She nodded and gestured toward Meihui, to which Ye Jun smiled in response. He knew she had already understood the nature of their relationship from their first meeting.
Because of her special physique, Song Liangxue had to spend extra effort understanding people and emotions. She experienced everything intensely because of that, so it was no surprise.
"Oh, I was meaning to ask, what did you get from the tomb?" Song Liangxue asked. "It was a powerful array formation."
"You came to check it?" Meihui asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No. My aunt went there," Song Liangxue shook her head. "Just to keep him safe."
"I didn’t sense her at all," Meihui muttered.
"She’s good at stealth," Song Liangxue said. "Even now she’s sitting above this carriage and you didn’t notice her."
"She really is very good," Meihui said, trying to sense anything above their carriage but finding nothing.
Even Ye Jun was surprised, but then he considered that her aunt might be her bodyguard, so she was bound to have a high cultivation base.
’Still, if she’s above even Meihui, just what realm is she in? And what realm is Meihui in?’
"You didn’t answer my question."
"Ah, about that," Ye Jun gave a rough explanation of his rewards from the tomb. "That damned man played a prank on everyone. Left nothing in inheritance, but set a trap as if something great was being guarded."
"Well, he did mention it was taken away from him," Meihui said.
"Any plans for it?" Song Liangxue asked. "Because you aren’t practicing that. I’ll give you a better one."
"No need for that," Ye Jun gestured at Meihui and said. "She already has some plans."
"Is that so?"
Meihui suddenly seemed to gain confidence as she smiled and said, "Yes, it’s perfect for him because of his innate physique. I’ll give it to him."
Song Liangxue smirked at her enthusiasm.
Ye Jun could read her thoughts well. Meihui was seeing this as competition, while Song Liangxue had no plans for competing at all. She was just having fun with Meihui.
"Good."
"But you still haven’t told us what you’re going to do with the cultivation manual," Meihui said, turning toward him.
"I can help you sell the other stuff. Want me to do the same?" Song Liangxue paused before adding, "Or maybe I’ll just buy everything from you."
"No need," Ye Jun replied. "I plan to use it in the sect. I’m sure they’ll accept some contribution and give me some benefits."
"That was your plan all along?" Meihui was dumbfounded. "I can’t say it’s bad."
"It’s actually clever," Song Liangxue smiled. "This will impress the higher-ups quickly and you’ll have a better time there. Peak-grade Profound Rank is still very valuable in vassal sects."
"That settles it then," Ye Jun sighed in relief.
"There’s more to it," Meihui narrowed her eyes. "You said we’ll discuss later."
Just as he was about to speak, the carriage stopped as a soft feminine voice entered the wooden carriage clearly, even though it was packed from every side.
"We’ve arrived, Young Miss."
"Thank you, Aunt," Song Liangxue said before facing Ye Jun. "Seems like it’s pretty important. Why don’t you take a bath and refresh yourself? We can talk at dinner."
Just then, Meihui’s stomach growled in protest. Her face turned bright red as she looked away. "T-That wasn’t me."
"Sure, we believe you," Ye Jun chuckled and said. "Alright. I do need to clean myself. I look like a wretch."
"And handsome," Song Liangxue added.
The door was opened by one of her attendants as she stepped out gracefully. Meihui followed, and Ye Jun noticed how she didn’t have any problems following noble etiquette.
It strengthened his guess that Meihui grew up in an influential family.
’Did something happen to them?’
Shaking his head, he also stepped outside. He was curious about where they had stopped since none of them had a home in Bright Star City now. Though the whole city belonged to Song Liangxue in a way, that was a different matter.
He had expected to see an inn but instead found himself in a deep clearing surrounded by tall slender trees with arrow-like leaves and brown trunks. The city wall was also visible from there, and he could even see the main entrance gates in the distance.
"The Eastern Gate."
He recognized it instantly.
Then he turned around and saw a small village set up in the clearing, but he could swear that there wasn’t one there until yesterday. He was very familiar with this area, after all.
"Impressive, right?" Song Liangxue asked, coming to stand beside him. "If I’m traveling officially, I usually bring the whole caravan. My grandfather wouldn’t have it otherwise."
"So you’re saying this village was made just today?" Ye Jun asked, still quite surprised.
"Yes. Don’t be surprised. It’s an easy task once you’re familiar with your cultivation base," Song Liangxue said before walking forward.
Meihui was very natural, as if accustomed to such a lifestyle. Ye Jun scratched his head and said, "I guess I’m the only villager here."
In his previous life he had often spent time in forests, and only he knew how he had to live there. Seeing such luxury made him quite jealous.
After all, just because he could live like that didn’t mean he liked living like that.
’This is why money is important.’
There were more than a dozen houses, all crafted with precision and good materials. All of them were for her attendants and guards, some even for the beasts carrying them across the lands.
’They even take care of them so well. Damn it!’
A beast was living a life better than him, who didn’t even have a toilet in his home. What a shame he was for the title of transmigrator.
’Good thing I left that forsaken clan.’
Shaking the useless thoughts aside, he followed Song Liangxue and soon reached the central building of this small village. A two-story structure with white marble, smoothly carved stone, and sturdy wood that sent out an intoxicating aroma.
There was even a small pond on the side.
’A fucking pond?’ Ye Jun’s lips twitched. ’What the hell is this princess treatment? Wait, she is a princess, but still this is pure luxury. You can even carry a portable pond nowadays.’
But then again, Earthlings weren’t behind either. He remembered seeing news where someone from India stole a whole pond in a single night. A truly bizarre event.
"You’re zoning out!" Meihui shouted in his ear, making him flinch. Seeing that, she smiled. "Are you planning to seduce the Rhyshadiums too?"
"What? No, what are you saying?" Ye Jun was confused by the allegation.
"You were staring at them intensely," Song Liangxue said in her teasing tone. "So what are your plans, honey? I certainly am not fond of them..."
"Stop right there!" Ye Jun quickly stopped them before their thoughts went the wrong way. "Don’t accuse me of anything. I was just looking at the pond."
"Haha! We’re just joking, dear," Song Liangxue giggled softly, and for the first time he saw Meihui joining her in the fun as she laughed too.
’I guess it’s worth being clowned on if they smiled so happily,’ Ye Jun thought.
"If you want, you can take a bath in it. We made it for that purpose, after all," Song Liangxue said. "Take your time. I’ll send your clothes afterward."
"Thanks for that!" Ye Jun stretched his limbs. "I really need that."
He turned to walk toward the pond, but the nearby Rhyshadiums backed away. They even eyed him suspiciously, some snorting in warning.
"I swear I’ll cook your meat," Ye Jun pointed at one of them and said. "Be ready to get roasted."
