Chapter 182 - 182: Iceburg’s Concern

Back at the villa inn, Hog stood nervously in front of the rest of the Dream Crew.

His little sister, Leah, couldn't hold it in any longer and immediately started yelling at him.

After scolding him, she launched into a long lecture.

Hog looked around, silently begging for help.

But no one else had any intention of stepping in.

After all, they weren't going to let him off the hook that easily after all the worrying he had put them through.

The Galley-La Company's president, Iceburg, was swamped with work.

His top secretary had taken leave and never returned, along with several foremen from Dock No. 1.

Just thinking about it made Iceburg uneasy.

He knew exactly what was at stake—his master, Tom, had left something very important with his junior apprentice.

That thing could never be exposed.

Now that his secretary and several shipwrights had vanished, he had to warn Franky.

Without wasting any more time, he quickly wrapped up his work and quietly made his way to the Franky Family's base.

"Iceburg... what are you doing on Franky Family's turf?"

Zambai immediately stepped in to block Iceburg.

Hearing Zambai's voice, the other members of the Franky Family also came out.

After all, on the surface, Iceburg and Franky didn't exactly have a friendly relationship.

"Well~~"

"I'm here to see Franky. Where is he?"

Looking at this group of men dressed in overall suspenders, Iceburg's usually expressionless face twitched.

"Per~~vert~~~"

"So it's you, Iceburg. What does the great president of Galley-La want with a nobody like me, a mere shipbreaker?"

Franky stepped out, wearing only an open-front shirt and underwear.

Seeing Franky's cocky attitude and his ridiculous appearance, Iceburg felt an instant headache.

His junior apprentice was just too much of a weirdo.

"Well~~"

"Franky, I need to talk to you. Come with me."

Iceburg didn't wait for Franky's response and turned to leave.

"Hey!"

"You're such a pain! Why should I listen to you?"

Despite his words, Franky still followed after him.

"Boss!"

The rest of the Franky Family wanted to follow as well.

"You guys don't need to come. I'm super strong! I could take on ten Iceburgs at once!"

Franky boasted confidently.

Ignoring their enthusiastic cheers, he kept chasing after Iceburg.

They arrived at an abandoned shipyard, a secluded spot.

Stepping inside, Iceburg looked around at the worn-down surroundings, lost in nostalgia.

Now that they were here, Franky dropped the exaggerated antics.

He sat on an old crate and asked, "Alright, spill it. What happened that made you come all the way to Franky Family?"

Their personalities had always been complete opposites.

Iceburg was meticulous about his appearance, while Franky had an eccentric sense of style.

The people of Water 7 didn't approve of how the Franky Family dressed.

Iceburg was no exception.

"Franky, you heard about Enies Lobby being destroyed, right?"

Iceburg's tone was serious as he looked at Franky.

"Ahahaha!"

"Who doesn't know by now? That place was full of scumbags anyway. Isn't it great that it's gone?"

Franky sounded completely carefree.

Back then, he had wanted to avenge Tom, but he hadn't been strong enough.

Even now, he still wasn't.

But with Enies Lobby wiped out, he couldn't help but feel satisfied.

"Don't say things like that again. Don't forget what you're carrying!" Iceburg quickly reminded Franky after hearing his words.

"I know!"

"So, is that why you're here this time? Does this have something to do with that?" Franky asked, sounding a little annoyed.

"That's right. On the same day Enies Lobby was destroyed, one of my secretaries and a few shipwrights also went missing. The last thing I found out was that they had also gone to Enies Lobby.

I don't know if their disappearance is connected to what you have."

"Also, that Dream Exploration Team, which is pretty well-known now, is still in Water 7. So you need to be extra careful during this time." Iceburg spoke seriously.

"So those people still haven't given up..."

"I got it. I'll be careful about this. Anything else? If not, I'm leaving." Franky said softly.

"That's all I wanted to say..."

Before Iceburg could finish, Franky was already standing up, ready to leave.

Iceburg opened his mouth like he wanted to say something, but in the end, he stayed silent.

After warning Franky, Iceburg didn't linger at the abandoned shipyard. He turned around and left.

Once both of them were gone, a tall, muscular man with two axes on his back stepped out.

Gaban's eyes were filled with deep thought and confusion. He stared in the direction Iceburg and Franky had gone, lost in thought.

After a while, he finally snapped out of it, shook his head, and silently walked back to his place.

After leaving, Iceburg didn't return to his company right away.

Instead, he walked to Central Street, where the Dream Exploration Team was staying. Looking at their inn, he seemed to be thinking about something.

After hesitating for a moment, he decided to head toward the inn.

As Iceburg walked step by step, he looked like he was deep in thought about something important.

*Knock, knock, knock~~~*

Inside the villa-style inn, the Dream Crew had been chatting and laughing. But as soon as they heard the knocking, they immediately stopped and looked toward the door.

Daisy got up to answer it and saw Iceburg standing there, waiting politely.

"Huh?"

"Oh, it's you, Mayor Iceburg. Is there something you need?" Daisy asked, a little confused.

"Well~~~"

" Daisy, hello. You guys have been in Water 7 for a few days now. As the mayor, of course, I had to come and pay you a visit." Iceburg said politely.

"Ohhh~~"

"I see. Well, come on in then." Daisy nodded and invited him inside.

"I see Ryuen is here too... Hello."

As soon as Iceburg entered, he walked toward Ryuen.

After exchanging greetings, they sat down on the beach chairs in the courtyard and started talking.

From Iceburg's words, Ryuen could tell what he was really asking.

He wanted to know when they were planning to leave.

"Oh, right, Mayor Iceburg, we met Granny Kokoro on our way to Water 7, and she also mentioned the Gods of Water.

We're really interested in them now. Can you tell when the next one will arrive?" Ryuen asked curiously.

"Well~~~"

"I'm not sure of the exact time either, but when the Gods of Water are about to arrive, there's usually a massive storm," Iceburg said after thinking for a moment.

"I see. That makes sense," Ryuen nodded.

"Then I'll take my leave, Ryuen."

Now that Iceburg had gotten the answer he wanted, he didn't want to stay any longer.

Being around these young people made him feel pressured.

Ryuen didn't try to stop him. Iceburg was probably being cautious because of their group's identity.

If Ryuen knew Iceburg was worried about the Pluton blueprints being leaked, he would probably just chuckle.

Based on his own theories, aside from Poseidon, both Uranus and Pluton likely needed some kind of energy to activate—something like the Sacred Flame.

Destroying an island with a single shot? He could do that himself.

Although gathering fire energy took a lot of effort, it was still better than carrying around a giant weapon.
