"Since when do you do speeches? Not a critique though, it was fine, I guess"

"Some livings need a little bit of encouragement, when one is sent to oblivion, they tend to repeat the memory of their last moments, this shall serve as a reminder that undeath has always welcomed him"

Maliah walked over, dragging behind her many of the newbies who had ran away in a panic, but since the assassin did not have more than two arms and had no ropes, she brought them all in one go by 'tying' them to one another using their limbs, either by twisting arms and legs around that of another, or by snapping open limbs and stabbing the exposed bones into flesh, making for a nice line of prisoner that were all wailing in pain and begging for mercy as she dragged them across the coarse, sand-like dust.

"I swear, these guys are so uncooperative, all they do is cry and scream, it's like they don't want to be of help to us, can you imagine that?"

Maliah shrugged, letting go of the one she was holding on to drag the whole group, and instead poked at Loimos's forehead.

"Your neck is super broken, what was even the point of this fight? Couldn't you have destroyed him in two seconds?" she questioned, looking down at Bilistam's inert corpse, this guy had certainly been strong, that's for sure, but neither Loimos or Maliah could get pressed by someone who was just 'powerful', even with both hands tied behind their backs, both could dominate opponents of this calibre in their own manner.

Loimos had already unfurled the way to cheat his way to mastery of their ways of power, as he always did, Maliah doubted there was a single thing the undead couldn't find loopholes in and then abuse to the utmost, honestly, it would probably be pretty demoralising for those who actually needed to work their asses off to achieve something to know that a skeleton had gotten better than them in the blink of an eye.

As for the assassin, her combination of energy trait and unique constitution meant that she was powerful everywhere she went.

"Collecting information" he simply replied before reaching into his mouth and pulling one the teeth out, stabbing it into Bilistam's corpse before burying him below the dust, Loimos couldn't just turn him into an undead at the moment, at best he might be capable of having his soul turn into a restless but that was of no importance at the moment.

Then, he walked up up to one of the captured newbies, grabbed the one at the end of the line and began taking him apart, taking the body parts that Loimos had received damaged upon and replacing them, the process was very much like watching a mad butcher at work, one with a diploma in surgery, but a mad butcher nonetheless.

By the end of it, Loimos's living body was as good as new, although he could not care less about pain, bleeding and other mortal injuries, as he himself, remained capable of controlling it and preventing the body from leaking its life force by basically scaring it and blocking the way, keeping his current flesh suit alive and well was important as it was required to keep himself operational.

The snake, hounds and abomination were still around as well, he had coordinated with them, after all, although they could not respond, they were capable of understanding him, as evidenced by the fact that they had heeded the words of death tongue he had whispered to them.

It seemed like they, who were called 'restless' by the living, were indeed souls at their core, it seemed like the soul was of even greater importance here than it was in the main world, which made sense as it was the main ambient energy, souls could persist with ease even after the passing of the physical shell that inhabited them, and typically, they were supposed to simply wander until they turned back into ambient soul energy.

Some instead, sought to keep on existing, those that were attached to life would attempt to reincarnate into newborns or possess livings, and those that did wanted to keep on existing, but felt no attraction to reincarnation or possession, would instead keep themselves together longer and prowl until they were 'lost'.

This would lead them to fall into this place, where they would forge a physical body for themselves from the countless skeletons littered the dust as far as the eye could see.

The snake and hounds had been a living serpent and dogs once, as for the currently immobilised abomination, it was the result of multiple lost souls coalescing into one, it was a bit odd to refer to them as lost when they had clearly went the better way, but that was just how living terminology went.

It seemed that restless were incapable of manifesting or binding their soul to anything, as their soul was instead fused into their bone body, granting them a way to grow stronger by simply existing, similar to the living who grew more powerful the more they aged, but much faster and without having to use soul essence as they were already eternal.

The restless seemed wary of Loimos and Maliah, the assassin in particular seemed to inspire bad vibes to them, whilst they were more confused by Loimos, who clearly looked alive at the moment, but had addressed them in a way only a fellow would have.

"Do any of you know where a restless capable of speech dwells?" he asked them in death tongue, the snake flexing its rib-arms.

It pointed to overall direction, the hounds and abomination seemingly agreeing, the latter was pulling itself together again by retrieving its fallen bits, soon enough, the restless was back to a somewhat normal state, save for the cracks and clear fact that it was still cut in half and only held together by a few bones.

"Very well, you can have the bones of these livings" he said before beginning to walk away with Maliah in tow, who walked in reverse, watching with interest as the rookies were torn apart for their precious bones, their screams of agony sounding like sweet music to her ears.

"How do you know that they're telling the truth, though? They don't know who you are or what the undead empire is" she said.

"They told the truth, even if not as potent in this realm, my death tongue has a positive effect on the undeads that hear it" he replied.

"Heh, if you say so…"
