"Mmh, definitely bigger than I thought…" muttered One to herself, eyeing the physical attributes of the one she considered the be the woman closest to her beloved sack of decay, after herself, of course.

Whilst the vampire was assessing the goods, Irbyw was already trying to catch innocent fishes, using the four spider legs upon her back like spears as most just took a seat upon the alluringly comfortable sand, everything on this island having definitely been thought out to be exceptionally pleasant, which was a shame considering that it was so rarely visited.

Maliah also laid down, not quite certain what was so nice about all of this, but feeling rather thrilled about this swimwear thing, perhaps it was just that this was a complete change of wardrobe for her, who was always garbed in the same garments and wrapped in the same cloak.

Maybe it was because this sort of clothing meant that she couldn't pull out weapons out of nowhere as easily that inspired such fondness, a little feeling of unusual danger…

Instead of wearing a layer that concealed all, this was tight and followed the curves of her body, which as One was still intently checking, were not as diminutive as most would have expected of the assassin.

"I was thinking that you would have some more muscle under there…" commented the vampiress, indeed, for someone that could punch holes into basically anything using their pinky finger, Maliah was lacking in that department.

"Oh, that's just because my muscles are super long" she casually stated, flexing one arm which suddenly bulged to a near paranormal level.

"Anyways, what do people do at the beach?"

"Go in the water, laze around and play… Or attempt to eat all the fishes, I guess" the second option was more to the taste of Saliana and Imyre, the former hugging her sword with love, the latter running one finger through the gentle sand.

"I should try to ask if Miss Ir'Houwl would like to come here as well…" the husk spoke her thoughts aloud.

"Urgh… I feel that would be a vision of horror" the ochitaha frowned deeply as an unsettled image took root inside of her mind.

Imyre got to thinking as well, having never actually gotten any idea what the minor lord looked like underneath it all, considering that she filled her clothes with sand, that meant that it had to actually be rather thin…

"Well… I don't want to imagine this anymore"

As those two spoke, One and Maliah remained silent for a few moments, looking at Irbyw who had managed to get a shark's attention awfully close to the shores, the undead marine creature currently experiencing getting wrestled and tossed around as the ghoul laughed like a child.

"I meant to ask you something" spoke the vampire, Maliah just turned her head to the side, chin resting in the palm as her feet were dangling in the air.

"You see- I know you're still a living and all… But you've spent quite some time with Loimos, and as you know, he is rather dashing, so, what do you think of him?" One couldn't help but fumble around a bit, the assassin looking like this question was not unexpected.

"I am not very knowledgeable on any sort of relationship, I guess he is the closest thing to a friend I ever had, I like killing and he just oozes of death- But you want to know whether I am interested in the so-called 'rotten thing' right?" The Death Dealer smiled, picking up a handful of sand and letting it flow in between her fingers.

"I honestly don't get the concept, I know you're an undead and all, but it's hard to imagine rot and decay as anything but disgusting, killing people, splashing blood and guts everywhere is one thing, but the decomposition of their corpses was never anything satisfying, maybe a bit interesting at first, but ultimately just nasty and stinky"

"Well… That's shame"

"A shame? I thought you wanted reassurance that I wasn't interested in him?"

"At first, I sort of did, but you know, time has passed since I first met Loimos, he isn't just Loimos anymore, he is the champion of the empire, the general of the vanguard, the pure undead even! And like- Shouldn't someone so great and powerful have more than one?"

"Heh?"

"At least five I would imagine, but the best of the best, see what I mean?"

"No"

"Shame"

Maliah shook her head, truly, One was a certain breed of insane, infatuated to the point of intoxication with an unfeeling corpse, and not just any of them, the most unfeeling of them all.

"Well, I suppose that if he wasn't a mound of filthy rot- I might just consider something" said the assassin without thinking much, it wasn't like Loimos would ever not be a mass of pure putrefaction, and it wasn't like Maliah even had a grasp of what she found attractive or what attraction felt like, she had never felt particularly close to anyone, found someone genuinely beautiful or handsome or anything like that.

The most proximity she held with other people was a certain form of friendship, a bond formed over the fact that they were killers or reeked of death like herself, more-so a kinship than anything else.

"Mmh… Maybe you'll change your mind when the time to become an undead comes-"

"You've been singing his praises since we were alive, and we haven't changed our minds on the subject since dying, you know?" Saliana cut through the conversation.

"Only those born undead can possibly find putrescence attractive" added Imyre.

"Hey, I wasn't born undead, I was bitten by a vampire! And I still find him handsome" One defended herself.

"You don't count actually, you've always been a grave robber, I remember that when we first met, you were awfully giddy about forcing open a casket" Irbyw walked up to the group, carrying the shark around, taking bites out of it like it was a snack.

"Come on now… It was another time- And besides, I was just after a… A treasure, yes, a treasure that was put in the coffin alongside the corpse, indeed… That's all it was, I wasn't going around graveyards with a shovel and unearthing remains for any other nefarious purposes…" One could see that absolutely none of the people present was buying into it, feeling like burying herself right there and then.

"That's why I agreed to join Alizée, genuinely dumbfounded that there was worse than me eating people, honestly, I was in awe at the depravity and utter lack of morals-"

"Alright Irbyw! I get it, no need to keep going!"

Like the ringing of a bell, a particular gust of force washed over them all.

This wave indicating that Loimos had returned.
