Chapter 162: Good news!

Sure, it was extremely rare for a low-level energy refining realm cultivator to obtain such a formidable ability through a chance of luck, but at the end of the day, it’s not like that was something that had 0% chance of happening.

Furthermore, when pairing it with the fact that the person who managed to obtain such a formidable ability through a chance of luck was someone who possesses a special body...

It wasn’t far-fetched for Dave to think that it was normal that Sebastian had been able to obtain a formidable ability through a chance of luck despite the fact that Sebastian was a low-level energy refining realm cultivator.

Most importantly, since Sebastian had made a swear to the heavenly daos that he would help the Lisandris Family grow stronger, and that swear was acknowledged by the heavenly daos...

Dave was aware that Sebastian meant the Lisandris Family no harm, and the stronger Sebastian was, the better it was for the Lisandris Family.

This was why Dave didn’t bother probing Sebastian regarding the yin-yang breath that he had used to defeat Ye Wei.

...

It didn’t take too long for Dave and Sebastian to arrive outside of the conference room that Coril and the others were currently in.

And upon arriving, Dave gave a few knocks onto the door, followed by shouting out loudly.

"Knock, knock, knock."

"It’s me, Dave. I’m here with Sebastian. Sebastian is right beside me right now."

Shortly after Dave had finished speaking, Coril’s voice rang out from inside of the conference room.

"Come in!"

Right as Dave had opened the door and walked into the conference room...

Sebastian followed suit and walked into the conference room too.

The moment Sebastian had walked into the conference room, he could see that Coril had stood up from his seat and was currently walking over to him while with a wide smile on his face.

"Sebastian, it’s good to see you! How are you feeling today? Fine?"

"Good to see you too, Ancestor Coril. I’m feeling fine."

Upon arriving by Sebastian’s side, Coril pat his right hand onto Sebastian’s back, then began leading Sebastian over to Veronica and Vanessa.

"Come, Sebastian, while you are here, let me introduce you to Veronica and Vanessa."

Right as Sebastian and Coril were about to arrive in front of Veronica and Vanessa...

Both Veronica and Vanessa stopped sizing up Sebastian and immediately stood up from their seats.

Right as Sebastian and Coril had arrived in front of them, Veronica was the one who took the initiative to speak first.

With a friendly and gentle smile on her face, Veronica first cupped her hands and greeted Sebastian, then revealed to Sebastian that she had agreed to marry him.

"Hello, Sebastian, it’s nice to finally meet you. Ancestor Coril has told me everything about you, and I have agreed to his suggestion of marrying you. I hope that you will take good care of me from henceforth."

Upon hearing what Veronica had said to him, with a slightly flustered look on his face, Sebastian hurriedly cupped his hands and returned Veronica’s greeting.

"Hello, Veronica, it’s nice to finally meet you too! Likewise, I hope you will take good care of me from henceforth!"

Upon seeing Sebastian’s reaction, Veronica immediately nodded in her own mind with satisfaction as she thought to herself.

"Good, it is as Coril has told me, this guy does indeed possess a good temperament. The fact that he isn’t behaving cocky or complacent even in the slightest bit although he had awakened the sperm strengthening body is an extremely good sign for both me and my daughter."

Upon thinking up to here, Veronica looked over to Vanessa, then said, "Go on, introduce yourself."

After taking a glance at her mother, Vanessa cupped her hands at Sebastian and greeted Sebastian properly while with a solemn look on her face.

"Nice to meet you, Sebastian, I’m Vanessa Lisandris, you can address me as Vanessa."

"Nice to meet you too, Vanessa. But I think it would be best for me to address you as Senior Sister Vanessa for now."

"Hmm...?"

Upon hearing what Sebastian had said, a confused look appeared on Vanessa’s face as she let out a confused mutter, evidently confused as to why it would be currently best for Sebastian to address her as Senior Sister Vanessa.

Meanwhile, upon seeing that everyone was confused as to what Sebastian had just said, Dave, who was standing idly behind Coril immediately walked up and said excitedly with a wide smile on his face.

"Everyone, all of you most probably wouldn’t have guessed it, but while all of you were in the conference room having a meeting, Sebastian managed to defeat Ye Wei without breaking a sweat!"

"That’s right, Ye Wei, the guy who came in 2nd in Bright Moon Sect’s energy refining realm martial tournament a while back and is deemed as both Bright Moon Sect and Bright Moon City’s 2nd strongest energy refining realm cultivator!"

"Because of Sebastian’s feat, Elder Zhi decided to take in Sebastian as her direct disciple right on the spot!"

"This is wonderful news, isn’t it? After all, you all were intending on getting Elder Zhi to accept Sebastian as her direct disciple once Sebastian had managed to break through to becoming an official talisman crafter, which would have been months from now."

When Dave mentioned that Sebastian had managed to defeat Ye Wei without breaking a sweat, an extremely surprised look could be seen appearing on everyone’s face as they looked over to Sebastian, which was what Dave had expected to happen.

However, right as Dave had finished speaking, unexpected to his expectations, where he thought that everyone would be happy about hearing that Elder Zhi had accepted Sebastian as her direct disciple...

Aside from Vanessa, who could be seen to still have the usual solemn look on her face, while she was gazing at Sebastian with curiosity in her eyes...

Everyone else could be seen having a speechless look...

And even more, Coril was currently rubbing onto his forehead with his right hand, seemingly to be having a headache.
