Passerby Villain In A Wizard World-Chapter 216: Subtle Flirt
Feeling their defensive look, Yela didn't know what to say.
It wasn't like she was going to snatch this guy, was she? All she felt was a little curious, that's all.
"Yeah, that will do. Why don't you guide us? Are you busy?"
Ian smiled a little and asked, appearing as amiable as ever.
From the way he talked and carried himself, he seemed completely chill with being around the First Ring Wizards.
"Yeah, you can show them the way. Let me handle the trivial matters, Wizard Yela. Besides, I already caused such trouble for you by receiving us impromptu. You can relax a little."
Hearing Ian's suggestion, Ron, who was silently standing on the side, hurriedly suggested and quickly disappeared right after.
He didn't even give Yela a chance to react.
"So, what do you think?"
Ian asked again after seeing Ron busy guiding the apprentices and the knights around, working hard.
He began to like this subordinate more and more.
"Eh...? Oh, why not. Let me show you the way then. And, by the way, you guys can ask anything you'd like to know while at it. It seems you have lots of questions."
Although Ron's sudden departure was unexpected, Yela didn't think much of it and smiled a little at Ian, Lyra, and Aurora while habitually fixing her glasses.
"Haha... there are indeed many things I want to ask. Don't mind me if I sound so abrupt, Wizard Yela."
Ian laughed while walking ahead toward the so-called tent with Aurora and Lyra by his side.
Honestly, the resting tents were so visibly placed that nobody would require a guide at all. It was just Ian's way of getting Yela's attention, which, fortunately, she didn't mind.
"It was actually Wizard Ron who introduced you to me just now. From his information, if I want to be an Official Wizard, having some connection with you early on seems to be a good choice. Haha... so, I was just pulling the strings, you know."
Ian didn't beat around the bush but just smiled a little awkwardly, as if what he was doing had a purpose and seemed insincere.
"Oh? Did Ron actually say that?"
Yela had indeed wondered why Ian seemed so direct and enthusiastic when talking with her.
Moreover, he seemed unfazed by their realm difference. But remembering how he was able to stay at the top deck and Ron's inadvertent care towards him, she slightly understood.
"But he does seem to care about you a lot. Then again, your qualifications are indeed good enough. In fact, they aren't bad either."
She nodded toward Ian, then looked at Aurora and Lyra.
From the feeling she was getting, she could tell that both of them were already at the Second-Class Wizard Apprentice level.
For someone who had just arrived from such a barren place, such a realm was indeed good in her opinion.
"But we are nothing in front of you. You are already a bona fide First Ring Wizard at such a young age. Honestly, I was shocked after seeing you for the first time."
Lyra wasn't someone to remain silent. So, after seeing that Yela didn't seem to be interested in Ian that way, she perked up and complimented Yela with a beautiful smile.
With her seductive blue eyes, charming smile, and unique glow, the conversation instantly turned into something completely enchanting.
"Hehe... come on, this is nothing. With my status, if I am not an Official Wizard already, that would be a complete joke."
Yela giggled a little, waving her hand as if her realm wasn't something astounding in this place. However, hearing Lyra call her young, she indeed seemed a little happy.
Women—so easy to please.
"Oh? Is becoming a First Ring Wizard on this continent so easy?"
Aurora was intrigued by Yela's light reaction and asked curiously, her gaze softening as she looked at her. The faint sparkle in her emerald-green eyes reflected her genuine curiosity.
"No, no. I mean, being a First Ring Wizard is still hard. But with the right connection and good qualifications, it is still doable at a young age."
Yela waved her hand and clarified.
"For example, I am the daughter of the head of the Corvin Mystic Merchants Organization. So, for me, although it is hard, getting an Ascension potion is still possible."
She said and then looked at Ian,
"This might be what Ron told you. But let me tell you straight. Although I have some connections, there is no way they are easy. And Ascension materials are too expensive, not to mention making them into a potion."
Although she was kinda curious about this guy because of his talent, she was a daughter of a merchant, after all. There was no way she would help someone just because they smiled and talked a little.
So, before any expectations could arise, she curbed them in the cradle. Moreover, she didn't want someone to approach her just for the benefits.
There was no lack of such people around her, and she was already tired of them.
"Haha... isn't Wizard Yela thinking too much? Do I look like that kind of guy?"
Ian rolled his eyes at Yela.
"I'm not so naïve as to expect an Ascension potion for nothing. I just thought that forging a connection with someone as charming as you felt... right."
He offered a subtle smile, then raised an eyebrow.
"Or was I wrong? Should I apologize?"
"Hehe... you have some knack for words. You literally just saw me once and thought I was charming enough to make a connection? Who are you capping?"
Yela giggled a little as the more she talked with Ian, the more natural it felt. It wasn't like talking with other apprentices at all.
Ian had that certain charm about him, making him appear equal even to those above his realm. At least, Yela found him like that.
"Sigh... does one need to see someone multiple times to find them charming? Hey, Lyra, didn't I find you charming the first time I saw you?"
Ian sighed dramatically and asked Lyra, gaining a nice eye roll from her.
"Beat me. How would I know that? And don't drag me into the middle out of nowhere."
Lyra was speechless hearing his question and didn't know how to answer. She was basically his childhood friend and didn't even remember when was the first time Ian saw her.
"Oh, I guess you wouldn't know. How about you, Aurora? Didn't I find you charming the first time?"
Ian ignored Lyra's chiding and asked Aurora again with a smile, causing her to blush.
"I-I d-don't know..."
Poor Aurora, she didn't know how to react to Ian's curious look, causing her to stammer.
"Hey, didn't I say not to drag us into the middle? Do you want our help to flirt with another girl?"
Lyra finally couldn't take Ian's teasing, so she directly punched him in the chest lightly, pouting a little.
"Hmm? Come on now. Where did you see me flirting?"
Ian asked with a questioning look, to which Lyra just stared dead at him, causing him to stop complaining.
"Pfft..."
Yela, on the side, finally couldn't help but giggle sweetly, seeing their interactions.
How long had it been since she saw such a lively couple? Honestly, she was now beginning to get a little jealous.

"Anyway, the gist is I was just trying to become a friend. Ah... and don't listen to her, I wasn't flirting with you just now."
Seeing that Lyra was getting serious, Ian immediately changed the conversation, diverting attention to Yela.
"Yeah, you better not. Hehe... you already have two of them. By the way, what do you guys find in him anyway? He seems quite ordinary to me."
Yela asked with a smirk, completely disregarding Ian. In such a short conversation, she didn't realize how she had basically begun talking with them like a normal friend would.
"Ordinary? I think I am anything but ordinary. Don't you think, girls?"
Ian heard Yela's attempt to lower his prestige but didn't mind. Instead, he responded with a calm smile while looking at Lyra and Aurora knowingly, causing both of them to blush a little.
"Who knows? You stupid blockhead. I'm done talking to you. Let's go, Aurora. I need a break—I don't want to see this guy anymore."
Lyra finally couldn't stand Ian's smirk, smacked him on the head, and dragged Aurora with her toward the nearby tent, intending to rest.
Let this guy fend for himself, she thought.
"Hey, there was no need to hit me, was there?"
Ian rubbed his head where Lyra smacked him and asked but got no response as Lyra and Aurora entered a nearby empty tent, occupying it.
Although the resting areas were abrupt, they still came with basic arrays and enchantments for privacy and safety.
And since mana was abundant on this continent, operating basic arrays cost nothing except for a few materials.
"Pfft... see? Because of your behavior, your girls are now angry with you. Why don't you go and appease them?"
Yela looked at Ian's sorry figure and once again laughed a little. She felt like a little girl succeeding in her little scheme.
"Heh... let them be. When I do something extraordinary during the night, they will be appeased either way."
Ian didn't mind Yela's teasing and instead smirked with a sly smile.
And of course, Yela understood what he was saying, causing her to feel ashamed and blush a little.
Although, she was a little mature in age than Lyra and Aurora, she was still a girl. How could she stand such teasing?
So, not wanting to continue the topic, she finally directed the conversation to the real matter.
"So, what did Ron tell you? What do you want to know?"
