Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife-Chapter 1860 - 461: Skiing, Zhou Xiaoyu’s Thoughts (Part 3)
"Xiao Qing, you finally came!" As soon as Gu Tingting saw An Yiqing, she immediately dropped the water bottle in her hand and rushed over excitedly, "Third Brother told me a few days ago that you’re really good at skiing, and I wanted to see for myself. Xiao Qing, let’s have a competition and see who’s better at skiing?"
"Sure, but the loser can’t cry later." An Yiqing nodded with a subtle smile.
"Of course! Am I the type to cry if I lose?" Gu Tingting raised her delicate eyebrows, "Besides, it’s not certain who will win! My skiing skills were taught by your husband himself!"
An Yiqing’s cheeks flushed slightly at Gu Tingting’s mention of "your husband," and she gave her a playful glare.
"Why glare at me? No matter how much you glare, it won’t change the fact that Third Brother is your husband." Gu Tingting touched her nose and teased with a cheeky grin.
At this moment, the sound of a shattering cup suddenly interrupted Gu Tingting and An Yiqing’s conversation.
They turned to look and saw that Zhou Xiaoyu had dropped her cup to the floor, spilling a large puddle of water.
"Sorry, sorry!" She quickly crouched down, attempting to pick up the glass shards, but An Yiqing stopped her.
"It’s okay, there’s staff here to clean it up, don’t worry about it." An Yiqing grabbed Zhou Xiaoyu’s hand and examined it closely, "Are you hurt?"
Zhou Xiaoyu’s face was flushed, possibly from fear or worry, and her eyes were slightly red, "No, I’m not hurt, just slipped and couldn’t hold the cup steady. Sorry, Senior Sister, for causing trouble."
"It’s just a broken cup, how’s that causing trouble?" An Yiqing shook her head with a smile.
"Exactly! Xiao Yoo, don’t be a crybaby over a broken cup. I’ve broken so many things over the years, probably enough to fill a small car or even a truck! Don’t cry, it’s fine." Gu Tingting quickly joked to ease Zhou Xiaoyu’s embarrassment.
"With your knack for causing trouble, a truck wouldn’t be enough! At least three trucks!" Ruan Xue stepped forward to join in the playful banter with Gu Tingting.
The somewhat chaotic scene was turned into a cheerful one by these two girls.
An Yiqing watched the two of them with a smile, feeling quite gratified.
"Don’t worry, see? Nobody minds." She patted Zhou Xiaoyu’s shoulder gently and said softly.
Zhou Xiaoyu bit her lip, nodded, and gazed at Ruan Xue and Gu Tingting with a slightly complicated expression.
Although she didn’t realize it, amidst this group, there were two people whose attention wasn’t on Gu Tingting and Ruan Xue, but rather, they were observing her movements closely.
After bustling around all day, everyone was quite exhausted. As the sky grew darker, they had their dinner and returned to their rooms one by one.
"Miss, I made some night snacks and brought you a portion." Zhang Yufeng gently opened An Yiqing’s room door, just in time to see her half-lying on the bed reading.
"Hmm? Oh! What’s the treat?" An Yiqing twitched her delicate nose and immediately tossed aside the book and jumped off the bed.
Zhang Yufeng was amused by her child-like actions and promptly passed the tray he was holding over to her.
"Rice wine with sweet dumplings, does Miss like it?"
"I love it! Xiao Feng makes the best rice wine dumplings." An Yiqing took the small bowl, her eyes lighting up with joy as she looked at the round little treats inside.
She stirred the spoon, scooped a few dumplings, blew on them, and ate them.
"Xiao Feng’s cooking skills keep getting better." She generously praised.
Seeing An Yiqing genuinely enjoying the treat, Zhang Yufeng breathed a sigh of relief, "As long as Miss likes it. The first-floor kitchen has plenty more; I made extra in case anyone gets hungry tonight."
"Mmm, I’ll let everyone know later. Thank you for your hard work, Xiao Feng." An Yiqing was so engrossed in the delicious food that she only managed to tell Zhang Yufeng after she had a free moment. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"No trouble at all, as long as Miss enjoys it." Zhang Yufeng looked at An Yiqing with joy, suddenly pausing hesitantly.
"Miss, do you have any opinions about Zhou Xiaoyu?" she cautiously asked.
"Zhou Xiaoyu?" An Yiqing swallowed the dumpling in her mouth, blinking in curiosity, "She’s a shy young girl, somewhat fragile but a decent kid. Why do you ask?"
"It’s nothing serious." Zhang Yufeng shook her head, biting her lip, hesitating for a moment, "Miss, your greatest strength is your sincerity in dealing with people, but that’s also a flaw. You shouldn’t be too nice to everyone; Zhou Xiaoyu, Miss Gu, and Miss Ruan are not the same type of people."
