Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife-Chapter 1503 - 316: Awakened (Part 2)
In front of her eyes, it was as if scenes from days past flashed by: the Nan Family changing hands, The Third of Nan Family and his wife, along with Nan Tong, sending people to hunt her and Nan Yang. As she lay sleeping, she was startled awake by the butler’s urgent report, quickly pushing the wheelchair-bound Nan Yang out while still in her pajamas. However, just as they exited the main door, a barrage of gunfire rained upon them.
In the chaos, Nan Yang’s wheelchair was destroyed, and with her body already hit, she could only carry the six-foot-tall Nan Yang and stumble forward. Perhaps it was the heavens’ favor; finally, in her bloodied bid to shield Nan Yang, she narrowly escaped utter disaster, hiding successfully in a small forest cave, avoiding detection. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Who could have known, thinking they had escaped the enemy, she was about to face an even greater crisis!
Just as she was about to place Nan Yang in a safe spot and return to look for Old Master Nan, Nan Yang suddenly did something she could never have dreamed of!
He stabbed her! Aimed squarely at her abdomen!
Nan Tian still remembered that feeling; it was a pain she’d never experienced before in her life! Even if Old Master Nan had hit her countless times with that damned Dragon Head Cane, it couldn’t compare to one-thousandth of the pain from this stab. She looked at Nan Yang incredulously—on the face of her brother, always gentle and warm in her memory, still wore a gentle smile, yet she saw in his eyes disgust, hatred, and cruelty.
This was not her brother—it couldn’t be!
However, before Nan Tian could react, Nan Yang pulled out the dagger and then stood up steadily right in front of her!
Nan Tian stared wide-eyed at Nan Yang’s legs, realizing his leg injury had long since healed! Everything before was just an act!
Trapped in her shock, unable to extricate herself, Nan Tian could only watch as Nan Yang left with long strides. Just when she thought he would leave her there to fend for herself, Nan Yang brought something that would terrify her for the rest of her life.
They were six crossbreeds of wild dogs and Tibetan Mastiffs, entirely black with sharp, gleaming teeth; saliva continuously dripped from their mouths. The look they gave Nan Tian was as if seeing a delicious feast, chilling to the bone!
Already wounded all over, Nan Tian clutched her bleeding abdomen tightly, retreating continuously; as her body dragged, it left a startling trail of blood on the ground. The scent of blood further roused the dogs’ wild nature.
Nan Tian remembered she asked Nan Yang then why he treated her and their grandfather this way.
Nan Yang replied thus —
"Do you know how disgusted I was every time you clung to me over these many years? Your last name is Nan, and so is mine, yet our fates are so different. Nan Tian, trash like you should live in Hell, how could the Nan Family ever belong to someone like you!"
Nan Yang’s words, each one like an iron hammer, pounded heavily on Nan Tian’s heart, shattering it! Already severely injured, her heart seized in furious indignation, causing her to spit a mouthful of blood, her body swaying, face turning as pale as paper.
Nan Yang looked at Nan Tian, barely alive, a cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth. With a wave of his hand, a masked man stepped out from the darkness.
Collapsed on the ground, Nan Tian’s eyes widened upon seeing the man; even if he turned into dust, she would recognize him—he was Liu Bai, the masked man who had severely injured Nan Yang at the birthday party!
Seeing Liu Bai and Nan Yang’s positioning and interaction, Nan Tian immediately understood that the birthday party was just a self-inflicted ruse by Nan Yang. Though he didn’t have to say, Nan Tian could guess seven or eight-tenths of his intentions.
Tears slowly flowed from the corners of Nan Tian’s eyes as she looked mournfully and despairingly towards Nan Yang.
Yet the despair she faced was not over. Liu Bai, receiving Nan Yang’s orders, came to Nan Tian holding a pair of tongs gripping a red-hot, gleaming coal ember.
He reached out, forcing open Nan Tian’s mouth; amidst her struggles and hysterical screams, he shoved the ember viciously down Nan Yang’s throat!
In the pitch-black forest, with the swallowed coal, Nan Tian clutched her neck, letting out heart-rending wails! Soon, she couldn’t even cry out, only silently rolling on the ground, desperately banging her head on the ground, attempting to lessen the pain in her throat.
Yet, Nan Tian’s misfortune was not over; Nan Yang, who had been watching coldly, released the dog leash in his hand. The six wild dogs, as if granted amnesty, swiftly pounced, rushing to Nan Tian’s side, starting to tear into her!
With sharp teeth, they tore at her flesh piece by piece, exposing the bloody muscle, then unsatisfied, they gnawed at the muscle, revealing the ghastly white bones. Nan Tian could no longer count the number of bites the wild dogs took from her body; with her last bit of consciousness, she glanced at Nan Yang, and seeing the glee in his eyes, the string named reason in her mind snapped completely!
She let out a shrill scream and then lost consciousness.
What happened thereafter, Nan Tian couldn’t remember. She only vaguely recalled seeming to eat many revolting things in a graveyard, then being taken to a white room where she saw An Yiqing. She couldn’t recall what transpired after being brought back by An Yiqing, but Nan Tian knew her friend must have expended great effort looking for her whereabouts.
"Ah...Ah, ah..." Nan Tian waved her bandage-wrapped hand, making incoherent sounds, seemingly trying to say something to An Yiqing.
"Miss, she seems to be trying to say something." Zhang Yufeng looked at An Yiqing in confusion, only to find her expression somewhat complicated.
"Ah, ah ah...ah ah!" Seeing An Yiqing only staring at her without speaking, Nan Tian made a few more anxious sounds.
An Yiqing’s gaze flickered, her red lips tightly pressed, as she turned and went into the bathroom.
Two seconds later, she emerged from the bathroom, now holding a mirror about the size of an A4 paper.
"You want this, right?" An Yiqing asked Nan Tian, holding the mirror.
Nan Tian nodded, making incoherent sounds while reaching out to take the mirror.
"Nan Tian, your condition is not good, but I will do my best to treat you. So after seeing your condition, don’t get too agitated."
Hesitation flickered in Nan Tian’s eyes as she slowly nodded at An Yiqing. She took the mirror, took a deep breath, and looked into it, but upon seeing the dog-torn eyelids and the exposed eyeball, she smashed the mirror against the wall!
Who was this monster?! This couldn’t be her! It couldn’t be!
Nan Tian, as if possessed, tore at the bandages on her body, desperately wanting to see her own body. However, when she saw her whole arm covered in pitch black, resembling a twisted charred firewood stick, she froze.
Her eyes vacant, mechanically she unwrapped the other bandages on her body, fully exposing the rotten flesh to her!
Zhang Yufeng turned his head away, unable to bear seeing Nan Tian’s face full of despair and distortion.
An Yiqing said nothing, standing silently in place, letting Nan Tian thrash about.
Nan Tian slowly lifted her horribly decayed hands, using her right hand to tug at the decayed flesh on her left hand; blood and pus were intertwined, resembling a zombie!
This was her now! Neither human, nor ghost!
